To anyone wondering how Survivor legend Cirie Fields is doing on Big Brother season 25, as well as her son Jared Fields and Cory Wurtenberger (Survivor 42 Zach Wurtenberger’s brother), this is the place for you!

This will be a time-pending cover of how Cirie, Jared, and Cory are doing in the show as long as they remain in it. These articles will also be significantly helped by Taran Armstrong’s entire season’s coverings which can be viewed or listened to on the Rob Has a Podcast website and YouTube channel.

COVERING DATES: Late August 7th – Early August 14th, 2023

CIRIE FIELDS

  • Cirie is the glue keeping her alliances together, mainly alongside Felicia and Izzy.
  • The Professors alliance keeps rallying numbers for their cause and tries to recruit Luke to join them, as he’s not aligned with anyone.
  • After Izzy misunderstands and thinks Cirie is a target for a backdoor plan, Hisam decides not to use the Power of Veto. Felicia and Kirsten remain on the block to be evicted from the house.
  • Felicia is upset about not being taken down the block with the veto, but Cirie explains she’s not at risk of going home. Afterwards, the fake backdoor plan is cleared up.
  • The games take a toll on Cirie, as she’s exhausted by people not following the plan.
  • Jared tells Cirie he wants to volunteer again to be a Have-Not so Cirie doesn’t go through that ordeal. (Being a Have-Not in Big Brother means eating slop, sleeping on an uncomfortable bed, and taking cold showers). Cirie tells him after playing Survivor four times, she can handle anything.
  • Funnily enough, Cirie also expresses that she can handle hanging out with anyone after living with Shane Powers and Courtney Marit in Survivor: Panama.
  • Cameron and Red start bonding, which worries Cirie as Red is part of the Professors alliance.
  • Cameron tries to jump ship from the Handful alliance while also trying to “protect” Reilly. Cameron has a conversation with Izzy regarding him joining their side. No one trusts Cameron, though, and Cirie doesn’t want to work with him.
  • Cirie talks with Hisam about Cameron and agrees that Cameron should not be included in the Professors alliance, as they’re trying to teach “the kids” (Family Style alliance) how to play the game.
  • On day 8, it is leaked Luke has been removed from the game for saying a racial slur, and there are no feeds for a day and a half.
  • On Wednesday’s episode (August 9th), the first live eviction takes place, and Kirsten is voted out in a unanimous 13-0 vote. When asked by Julie Chen by whom did she feel most betrayed, Kirsten replies Cirie.
  • Julie reveals to Kirsten that Cirie is Jared’s mom. Kirsten is shocked but also shows that Jared had slipped up earlier that day, but no one connected the dots between him and Cirie.
  • Cirie is ecstatic when Hisam, one of her allies, wins the second HOH competition. Hisam decides to nominate Reilly and Cameron for eviction.
  • Cirie reveals to Izzy that though the majority want to target Reilly this week due to her decisions while being HOH, especially Hisam, as Reilly said she wanted to target him, Cirie would prefer to target Cameron instead for being untrustworthy.
  • Cirie is angry Izzy provided Cameron with the name The Traitors, and Cirie feels pressured to share this information with him, as it could paint a larger target on her and Jared.
  • On day 12, live feeds are gone for most of the day. When they return, we discover Hisam won the Veto against Cameron, Reilly, Matt, Blue, and America. (Based on theories, it seems the veto competition wasn’t appropriately set for Matt, who is Big Brother’s first deaf contestant).
  • Cirie tells Reilly she’ll vote to keep her as long as Reilly keeps this information to herself. In reality, Cirie is playing both sides and though she wants Cameron out more than Reilly, she doesn’t want Hisam to get angry at her. For her part, Reilly doesn’t keep the secret for long.
  • Cirie and Izzy start feeling fed up with Hisam as he’s telling them he wants Reilly out and there’s no room for change, especially after he wins the veto. They start considering backdooring Hisam next week if he doesn’t win the veto.
  • Cirie’s alliances so far:
  1. The Fields trio: Cirie, Jared, Izzy (named by the fans)
  2. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  3. Bye-Bye Bitches: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Izzy, Bowie.
  4. Felirie: Cirie and Felicia
  5. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red.
  6. Have a deal to have each other’s back: Cirie, Jared, Izzy, Cory.

JARED FIELDS

  • Jared and Blue have a flirty conversation (Jared and Cirie have talked about neither trusting Blue in the game, though), and Blue tells Jared their alliance plans to target Izzy. Their “bond” continues to grow throughout the week.
  • Jared interrupts a very chaotic conversation between Izzy and Cameron. After Cameron leaves, Izzy tells Jared that Cameron is on their side. (Izzy is mistaken). Jared lets Izzy know the other side is planning on targeting her next.
  • Cirie is highly nervous after thinking she is the backdoor plan to being evicted. Jared tells Cirie she never was and to be careful of Izzy, as she tends to get anxious too often.
  • Jared continues to play the mole between the two main alliances as he brings all the information from the Family Style alliance to Cirie.
  • Jared and Mecole discuss targeting options and decide Reilly should be a priority over Jag, Blue, and Matt.
  • As Red tells Cameron a lot of unnecessary information, Cameron tells Reilly that Jared is (unofficially) working with Cirie’s side of the house.
  • On August 9th, in the Have-Not room, Jared, Hisam, and Cory are present when Luke says a racial slur. Hisam and Cory are immediately uncomfortable and leave the room.
  • After Luke shows no remorse and even tries to play off what he said, Jared handles it by telling Luke that the situation didn’t upset him. Luke is later removed from the game. Jared expresses in one of his confessionals that he was uncomfortable about what happened. Still, he couldn’t react in any other way as he’s the only Black man in the house, and anything he says or does can be misinterpreted as wrong or aggressive.
  • Hisam wins the second HOH competition of the season. Jared ends up in second place, and as part of the “scary verse twist,’ he is sent to the Nether Region (similar to Exile) for a few hours. Cirie is happy Jared didn’t win HOH, as Jared would’ve been forced to expose his double agent role within the game.
  • Jared later returns to the game and is given the chance to send someone else to the Nether Region, and that person would be safe from being nominated. Reilly, Hisam’s primary target for the week, asked Jared to save her as she saved him last week from the block.
  • Jared wants to save Cirie from being nominated, but Cirie discourages this idea as the others would notice how close they are working together. Jared ends up sending Jag, as he doesn’t want Hisam to nominate him instead of giving protection to Reilly.
  • Blue confesses she missed Jared while he was in the Nether Region.
  • Jared relays his conversation with Cory to Cirie (about Cory wanting to take him and Cirie to the end), and where Cory reiterated how much he trusted both.
  • Jared is one of the main ringleaders for wanting Reilly out of the house, unlike Cirie, who’s considering keeping her over Cameron.
  • Jared’s alliances so far:
  1. The Fields trio: Cirie, Jared, Izzy. (named by the fans)
  2. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  3. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red. (silent 8th)
  4. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag. (extinct alliance) Still “working” with them but knows he was on the outs with Cory.
  5. Have a deal to have each other’s back: Cirie, Jared, Izzy, Cory.

CORY WURTENBERGER

  • Cory advises Luke not to refuse olive branches from other people, as Luke keeps being off-putting and not working with anyone.
  • Cory is delighted he got removed from the block and decides to work with the Family Style alliance while maintaining game conversations with Jared and Cirie on the down low.
  • Cory is still on the outs of both alliances but continues to talk to several houseguests to work with them, mainly Hisam and Jared. Hisam dislikes Cory (one-side feud), but Jared argues in Cory’s favour as Jared thinks Cory can still be valuable to their side.
  • Hisam dislikes Cory and keeps telling other people not to trust the latter. However, Hisam’s anti-Cory campaign starts backfiring as people begin to appreciate Cory more than Hisam.
  • Cory and Mecole make a deal to watch out for each other over a chess game. He informs Mecole about the Family Style alliance, its members, and how he would like to work with Cirie and Jared, who are also aligned with Mecole. However, Cory also mentions that Jared can help him go further but not go to the end, which could backfire if either Cirie or Jared finds out.
  • On August 9th, in the Have-Not room, Jared, Hisam, and Cory are present when Luke says a racial slur. Hisam and Cory are immediately uncomfortable and leave the room. Luke is later removed from the game.
  • On the August 10th episode, after it is revealed to the other houseguests that Luke has been removed from the game, Cory tells them about the situation since he was in the room.
  • After Hisam wins the HOH, Cory feels in danger as his relationship with Hisam has been tumultuous. Luckily for Cory, Hisam wants to target Reilly, Cameron, and Matt instead of him.
  • Cory’s position in the house gradually improves, but as he continuously says he’s in the middle, people still don’t trust him in the long run. Cory also keeps dropping these hints that he’s playing spy, which could make other people target him.
  • Cory tells Jared how important it is for them to work with Cirie as she wouldn’t be able to win the endgame competitions, though not to underestimate her due to her Survivor legacy. Hilariously, Jared tells Cory he agrees even though he doesn’t know what Cirie did on Survivor as he’s never watched the show.
  • Cory feels somewhat indebted to Reilly for saving him from last week’s block, but he doesn’t want to ruffle too many feathers with the rest of the house.
  • After Hisam wins the veto, it is revealed Hisam gave a harsh speech toward Reilly. Cory tells Reilly this is good for her as people want to target Hisam, and keeping her might be the first step.
  • Cory’s social game has greatly improved over the last week, to the point where he isn’t targeted by Hisam and several people want to include him in more strategic and social conversations.
  • Cory’s alliances so far:
  1. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag. (extinct alliance) Still “working” with this side but knows he was on the outs alongside Jared.
  2. Mecory: has a deal with Mecole to look out for one another.
  3. Have a deal to have each other’s back: Cirie, Jared, Izzy, Cory.
