To anyone wondering how Survivor legend Cirie Fields is doing on Big Brother 25, as well as her son Jared Fields and Cory Wurtenberger (Survivor 42 Zach Wurtenberger’s brother), this is the place for you!

This will be a time-pending cover of how Cirie, Jared, and Cory are doing in the show as long as they remain in it. These articles will also be significantly helped by Taran Armstrong’s entire season’s coverings which can be viewed or listened to on the Rob Has a Podcast website and YouTube channel.

COVERING DATES: Late August 2nd – Morning August 7th, 2023

CIRIE FIELDS

  • Cirie entered the game as the 17th houseguest.
  • So far, Izzy is the only person who knows that Cirie and Jared are related. (In episode 2, we see Izzy immediately recognise Jared even before knowing Cirie was on the season).
  • Cirie was instantly liked by the other houseguests and started having alliance-type conversations with several of them.
  • Cirie and Felicia discussed having an all-black woman’s alliance with Kirsten and Mecole.
  • Cirie talked with Cory, and he revealed he was a fan of hers on Survivor. As Cory also revealed how well he knew how Cirie operated, it made Cirie distrustful.
  • Cirie and Jared had a whispered conversation about their work around the house later during the first night. Cirie warned Jared not to mention her name so as not to raise suspicions that they’re related/working together.
  • As Jared revealed to Cirie about the Phalanx 5 alliance, Cirie lost trust in Kirsten and later talked with Felicia about Kirsten getting into “too many groups too fast.” Kirsten further alienated Cirie by coincidentally asking Cirie if she had a 24-year-old son.
  • Cirie was able to maneuver the first HOH of the season, Reilly, in her favour, and Reilly told Cirie she trusted both her and Jared. (The HOH is the house leader who is immune for a week and usually nominates two houseguests for eviction. This time, Reilly will save two of the nominees.)
  • Cirie also bonded with Hisam over both working in the medical field. Cirie and Felicia consider working with Bowie as well.
  • A new alliance emerged called “The Handful,” which consists of Reilly, Jag, Matt, Blue, and Cameron, with an external layer for protection which consists of Jared, Cory, and America. Reilly wants Cirie, Izzy, and Felicia to be extra votes for this alliance.
  • Cirie formed a new alliance called “Bye-Bye Bitches” (named by Felicia) consisting of herself, Felicia, Bowie, and Mecole, with an external layer for protection, including Hisam, Red, Jared, and Kirsten.
  • As Cirie later found out about the Handful alliance, she wanted Luke (another primary target for eviction) to be included in her alliance to have the majority within the house.
  • Hisam won the Power of Veto (basically, he wins immunity and can grant it to one of the people on the block), making his alliance, including Cirie, happy.
  • Izzy misinterpreted a conversation she had with Reilly and tells Cirie she is going to be backdoored (a strategy in BB which means the HOH doesn’t nominate their main target at first and instead nominates two pawns, which one of them will be taken down later with the Veto and the intended target will get nominated without any further chance to save themselves.)
  • Cirie later discovered the backdoor plan was false, but she decided she needed to start having more conversations with other people as Izzy gets paranoid.
  • Cirie and Cory had a conversation where they decided they could potentially work together in the future, and where Corey asked her about her time on Survivor. Corey asked about the infamous “beam challenge” on Game Changers, and Cirie got emotional by remembering how Jeff Probst made that moment truly special for her.
  • Cory kept asking Cirie about Survivo; Cirie told him she relied on her allies to help her with the game mechanics as she’s more of a social player. Cirie turned the conversation back to Big Brother as she told Cory he and Izzy could be her potential biggest allies.
  • Cirie, Jared, and Izzy are a powerful trio with an implicit final three deal.
  • Cirie’s alliances so far:
  1. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  2. Bye-Bye Bitches: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Izzy, Bowie.
  3. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red.

JARED FIELDS

  • Jared lost the first nomination competition and was put on the block alongside Cory, Felicia, and Kirsten on night one.
  • Despite being nominated for eviction, Jared was approached to form the first alliance of the season called “Phalanx 5” with Matt, Kirsten, Reilly, and Luke.
  • Jared was also approached by Reilly (the first HOH) to be part of an eight-person alliance.
  • Jared started overplaying, revealing the Phalanx 5 alliance to Reilly… without realising Reilly was already an original member.
  • Jared and Cirie compared notes regarding the information they collected, and he revealed the Phalanx 5 alliance to Cirie. They also discussed not trusting Cory.
  • The Phalanx 5 alliance quickly disbanded afterward as its members started distrusting one another due to Kirsten’s overplaying.
  • Jared bonded with Matt, who had an in with Reilly, which further helped Jared get off the block alongside Cory.
  • Jared was included in the “Family Style” alliance, which consists of the “Handful” alliance, making Jared not part of the core five members. Jared was included in the “Bye-Bye Bitches” alliance as well.
  • Jared’s true allegiance became the BBB alliance, but he intends to keep playing in the middle to feed information to Cirie.
  • Jared expressed that if he wins HOH next week, he will nominate Reilly alongside her biggest ally, Jag. Cirie disagreed and told him it would be better for their game to backdoor Reilly instead.
  • Jared and Cory had a conversation where they talked about the bottom of the FS alliance and how they needed to continue to explore their options. Jared also played dumb when Cory told him about Cirie’s Survivor past.
  • During the second episode, it was revealed Izzy instantly knew that Jared was Cirie’s son. In a confessional, Izzy said she has Cirie’s and Jared’s games in her hands.
  • Cirie, Jared, and Izzy are a powerful trio with an implicit final three deal.
  • Jared has also bonded closely with Cory (Jory) and Luke (Juke).
  • Jared’s alliances so far:
  1. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  2. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red.
  3. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag.

CORY WURTENBERGER

  • Cory lost the first nomination competition and was placed on the block on night one with Jared, Felicia, and Kirsten.
  • Cory could not rejoin the other houseguests immediately after the competition until a couple of hours later. Cory was later met with distrust by the other houseguests.
  • Cory talked with Cirie about him being a fan of hers on Survivor and in other shows like The Traitors and Snake in the Grass.
  • Cory later had issues in one-on-one conversations with Reilly, the HOH, and had to wait hours to talk with her. Cory later told Reilly about his brother Zach being on Survivor.
  • Cory and Reilly also mistook (or perhaps only Reilly and Cory didn’t correct her) Boston Rob as the Rob from Rob Has a Podcast instead of Rob Cesternino.
  • Reilly initially considered leaving Cory on the block as a pawn (BB term used for decoy) to target Kirsten. When Reilly told this info to Cory, he tried to tell Reilly that she should use Jared instead and even mentioned Cirie as a target. However, Reilly said she wanted to work with Cirie and Jared, so Cory told Reilly to use Felicia instead as she wasn’t a threat to anyone.
  • Cory tried bonding with Hisam, but the latter didn’t share much info with him, leaving Cory feeling like Hisam dislikes him.
  • After a disastrous first impression, and mostly due to the fear of other houseguests of Cory having an advantage since he disappeared, Cory got taken off the block.
  • Cory was included in the “Family Style” alliance but is not a core member like Jared.
  • Cory wanted to move forward with Cirie, Jared, Izzy, Felicia, and Mecole while maintaining his relationships with the FS alliance.
  • Cory and Hisam seem to have a slight rivalry due to misconceptions, mainly because Hisam was told Cory was allied with the “bros.” Cirie told Cory she would talk to Hisam for all of them to work together against the big alliance.
  • During the second episode, Corey revealed he wanted to target Cirie, even if it’s the last thing he’ll do.
  • Cory’s efforts to bond with Hisam were useless, as Hisam had no desire to work with him.
  • Cory’s alliances so far:
  1. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag.
