Survivor 41 champion Erika Casupanan will be one of the former reality stars competing on the first season of The Traitors Canada, which began filming last week.
According to Reality TV News, Casupanan is one of the cast members of the upcoming Canadian edition of the hit reality series, which will be made up of ex-reality stars and everyday Canadian citizens. Other reality stars taking part include former Big Brother Canada houseguests Kevin Martin and Kuzie Mujakachi and Drag Race Canada contestant Miss Fiercalicious.
The Traitors sees 22 strangers living together while completing challenges to earn money for the prize pot. However, among the “faithful” contestants are three “traitors” who must work together to eliminate the other players and keep their identities secret.
Earlier this year, Bell-owned broadcaster CTV confirmed there would be two Canadian versions of the show, one English and the other French-language.
The Traitors has become somewhat of a global phenomenon over the past year, with versions in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Casupanan, who won Survivor 41 in 2021, becomes the fourth Survivor contestant to compete on a version of the Traitors. Four-time Survivor castaway and current Big Brother US houseguest Cirie Fields and three-time Survivor star Stephenie LaGrossa took part in the first season of The Traitors US, while Australian Survivor‘s Luke Toki will appear on the upcoming second season of The Traitors Australia.
