Back in May we revealed the cast for the upcoming Survivor: David vs. Goliath season, airing this Fall on CBS. Inside Survivor can now unveil some of the rumored cast for the 2019 winter season, Survivor: Edge of Extinction, the thirty-eighth edition of the long-running reality series. The new season, which recently wrapped up filming in Fiji, will feature four returning players, who were previously revealed back in June.

What are you on about? There are plenty of young smart and emotionally intelligent people… Many could give A LOT of adults some really good life values and knowledge. There are enough awful adults to go around as any other youths unfortunately.
Only 18 contestants with 4 returning players is interesting. Two vets on each tribe of nine to start?

Redmond! Just getting to your S38 news. Could you please clarify as to what you mean in your S38 cast leak post about Season 38 being a “2019 WINTER season” and that it will air “EARLY 2019”??? Has S38 been relegated to a winter season like The Amazing Race was?

So happy to see Aubry, Joe, Wentworth, and David back. I wish they would bring Jay back though! He was my 2nd favourite on Millenials vs Gen X aside from Adam. Otherwise looks like a great cast, can’t wait for season 38
I don’t understand “Edge of Extinction” if it is mostly newbies. I don’t mind retuninreplayers but I prefer it either/or. Mixing it up usually means casting isn’t as good because they don’t want newbies to outshine the returning players.
I agree. I can understand the logic of having new players in this season, but I just feel “Edge of Extinction will be a one and done.

I was pleased this last season to see a more diverse cast and hoped that Survivor was heading into diversity in more seasons. I guess not, if the above is the actual cast.

Is anyone else pissed off by how the official cast photos and bios get revealed later and later with last seasons? I mean, why can’t they choose a concrete day (e. g. Wednesday four or three weeks before the premiere) and just stick with it. Or at last tell in advance “Hey, it’s gonna be that day” or “Hey, it’s not gonna be the same day as usual, don’t hold your breath”.
Any idea why CBS hasn’t released the cast yet? Less than 3 weeks til the premiere.
