Survivor: Heroes v Healers v Hustlers

Next Time On Survivor – Episode 4

Tillie Reilly makes her predictions for the next episode of Survivor: HHH.

Hey guys, it’s time for this week’s Next Time on Survivor. Before I jump into looking at the 30-second preview for Episode 4, I wanted to check out the outcome of the predictions I made for the previous episode.

I said the Hustlers were going to tribal, Joe was on the bottom, and that Cole and Jessica were going to plan to blindside him. I also said that Lauren was going to go home because she didn’t fit in with anyone else on the Hustlers. Which was true, everyone said that she didn’t fit in, but Lauren managed to talk her way from the bottom and get Patrick’s torch snuffed instead, sending him walking out of tribal heated. I think I can give myself a solid grade of A-.

Previously on Survivor…

Watching the latest episode, it is clear that Ben and Chrissy are on top of the Heroes tribe and it seems like Ben is beginning to shift more towards wanting to get JP out instead of Alan. Ben noticed Ashley is really defending JP and is trying to campaign for him to stay, but it is only making his situation worse.

On the Healers beach, Cole made the move to tell Jessica about Joe’s idol. At the time, it was a good idea. The duo was secretly planning a way to blindside Joe when the time was right…. until Cole decided to tell Roark and Desi the plan also. They would have to be told eventually anyway, but if the Healers weren’t going to tribal, they had nothing to worry about and didn’t need to discuss blindsiding Joe at that time with everyone else.

On the Hustlers beach, they are falling apart and becoming a sloppy mess. People are annoying, some are losing the challenge for the tribe, some aren’t getting along, and the problems are looking to continuously add up each week. It was pretty clear they were going to tribal based on the preview, but Lauren was the target the entire episode until she managed to talk her way into getting everyone else to vote Patrick.

Which now leads into this upcoming week….

Everyone Drop Your Buffs

While I love episodes where everything changes, unfortunately, the preview offered little to nothing to talk about in regards to predictions. But I will still make this happen!

There are two confessionals shown in the preview: Chrissy’s and Jessica’s.

In Chrissy’s short confessional, she says “…all of that gets erased and it becomes a brand new game.”

What that possibly tells us is that Chrissy is referring to her relationship and power alliance with Ben. She built up that alliance and was controlling the future tribal for the Heroes. Now Chrissy and Ben must be separated by the swap and ‘it all got erased,’ meaning their alliance. As a viewer, I like seeing Chrissy and Ben working together, but as far as my draft picks for this season, the best thing to happen would be for Ben and Chrissy to separate so they stop gunning for JP.

"I Don't Like Having Snakes Around" - Jeff Probst hands out the new buffs on the fourth episode of SURVIVOR 35, themed Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, airing Wednesday, October 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. In the second confessional in the preview, we hear Jessica say, “My palms were sweating and my heart was racing” but she does it with the biggest smile on her face. To me, this shows that she was terrified of the swap and the possibility of being separated from Cole. But she looks like the happiest person in the world in that confessional, so I predict she manages to stay on the same tribe as Cole. Obviously, this is purely a prediction based on her reaction.

Another thing is Cole and Joe knew where the idol was buried on the Healers beach. Cole mentioned on Twitter that he chopped up the tree with the clue so nobody would know where it was at in case he switched tribes. There’s a possibility he could reuse that clue on another beach and find another idol, except maybe he’ll decide to keep this one instead of handing it over to Joe.

Thanks to our resident stat-man Rob Brodeur, he noticed that Jessica’s buff was edited in her short confessional scene to make it look like a Healers buff, but it’s really the Hustlers design. So we know for a fact that she drew a red buff in the upcoming tribe swap.

Another thing exposed in the press photos is that we see two separate challenges and we get the first reward of the season! Also, both the reward and the immunity challenge show that there will continue to be three tribes and not two like some were guessing. The three tribes will swap into three new tribes of 5.

While I like seeing two challenges per episode, considering this is a swap, we will get little air time seeing new alliances form. It will be like watching the last 30-minutes of a Big Brother double eviction episode crammed into one hour.

"I Don't Like Having Snakes Around" - The Immunity Challenge is set on the fourth episode of SURVIVOR 35, themed Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, airing Wednesday, October 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Photo: Robert Voets/CBS ©2017 CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved

Predictions

My predictions are cut short this week but will be in full effect for Episode 5!

What if Cole and Jessica manage to stay together?

I don’t think Cole and Jessica are going anywhere. Cole is incredible in challenges, and unless this new tribe wants to raise their chances of going to tribal, they will keep Cole. I think Cole and Jessica could manage to survive because both the Hustlers and Heroes have big cracks in their alliances.

What if Ben and Chrissy are separated?

I feel Ben is safe this week. He’s an incredibly likable guy and definitely helps out in challenges. Chrissy could be put in a hard spot if she gets left with no numbers to work with because just like in the first episode, people could see her as ‘the weak mom’ figure compared to these guys like Devon, Cole, and Ben.

Who is in trouble?

I think Cole can probably go one against 5 in challenges and win, so I think his new tribe is still safe. Lauren will likely continue to be seen as someone who doesn’t relate to anybody on her new tribe just like how she was on the Hustlers. If Joe gets on a tribe with one other Healer, there’s a chance that the other Healer could throw Joe under the bus about having the Idol.

Who I feel are 100% safe based on how they are playing this game (socially, physically, or strategically).

Ben, Cole, Jessica, Ali, Ryan.

Who I think are 50% safe but have a chance to go home if screwed by the swap.

Chrissy, Desi, Ashley, Devon, Allen, Roark.

Who I think has the biggest chance to go home based on not connecting with anyone, not strategizing, being a weak player, or having the idol.

Joe, JP, Lauren, Mike.

Winner Prediction After Episode 3

I’m still going to stick with Ben. He is seen as the big dog of the Heroes and everyone is coming to him to try and work with him. He is calling all of the shots over there right now and even with this swap coming, I don’t see him being in trouble.

Alrighty guys, thanks for reading Next Time On Survivor. That’s all for this week but if you have other predictions or just want to talk Survivor, feel free comment below and tweet me @tilliereilly.

  1. My guess from seeing the preview. 3 tribes of 5 and a tribe with Ali, Ryan, Lauren, Ben and Alan go to tribal. They show those 5 in the end of the preview. I’m hoping for 2 tribes of 7 though.

  2. That auburn game! I left work an hour early just to go watch it knowing LSU was going to lose and ive never felt so blessed to live on campus before that game. Everyone in my apartment complex was screaming. It was definitely a great game. bama can go somewhere else.

but yeah, this analysis was hard because I was given basically 0 information going into the episode tomorrow. 3 teams! You can check out the press photos and they have 2 separate challenges for tomorrow (reward and immunity) and they both have 3 sets arranged for 3 tribes.
