Survivor: Heroes v Healers v Hustlers

Next Time On Survivor – Episode 5

Tillie Reilly makes her predictions for the next episode of Survivor: HHH.

Hey guys, it’s time for this week’s Next Time on Survivor. Before I jump into looking at the previews for Episode 5, I wanted to check out the outcome of the predictions I made for the previous episode.

Previously on Survivor…

Honestly, my predictions weren’t too shabby for trying to predict the unpredictable! All I had to go on were two confessionals (Jessica and Chrissy) along with Jeff telling everyone to drop their buffs, and I managed to pull a few things out of the hat.

I mentioned that Jessica and Cole would stay together and Ben and Chrissy would be split up. – Grade A.

Cole’s tribe will continue to win all day every day. – Grade A

A Healer will expose Joe making him a target. – Ehh, I’ll give myself a B-. I feel if it was any other Healer except for Desi, there could’ve been that possibility where they would have exposed Joe. Either way, Joe still managed to make himself a target this episode all while throwing Desi’s game under the bus as well.

Who do I think is on the bottom? Joe, JP, Lauren, and Mike. I was close-ish. Mike is in a pretty solid position where he is at now, and JP has become a player who is just ‘there.’ Lauren is becoming my new ‘David’ of the season. I thought David would be voted out next every single episode until a point where I finally gave in and realized he would (probably) win the game. But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves… no way Lauren will win. But I said the same about David having no chance, so we’ll see what happens and things like that.

The Past Will Eat You Alive

In the preview for this upcoming episode, we start to learn about Ben and his past. He reveals he has nightmares about his time in the military, so this means that the episode title is probably about him. Some people on Reddit and Twitter have speculated that he may quit, but I don’t think he will. A lot of winner edits show them having a low in the game at some point so I personally believe this is Ben’s low and someone on his tribe will comfort him about it. Ben has been having such a decent game and edit that it wouldn’t make sense for production to build him up so well only for him to quit. I still think Ben goes to the end.

Digging Deep

How fast do you think it will take for all of Yawa to know Mike found an idol?

This season’s previews have been surprising with the amount of info they have exposed in a 20-30 second clip. They have been making it kinda obvious on what tribe goes to tribal and then also seem not to care about showing someone finding an idol. Are they going to show us who wins when we get to the final episode’s preview?

Over on Yawa, we see Jessica and Mike go idol hunting, and Mike digs deep to find an idol. Mike may have power now, but Jessica knows he has it, which also means Cole knows, which also means all of Yawa knows, and that means everyone in the game and their families know about Mike’s idol. Mike wouldn’t randomly dig around the well to look for an idol so I suspect he either found a clue around camp or Yawa won another challenge and got the reward and he found it that way.

All Girls Alliance

In the short preview shown directly after the last episode, Chrissy tells JP that Roark wants an all-girls alliance. JP suddenly becomes a man in charge giving direction that Roark has to go next.

Roark was my winner pick in the pre-season draft, but I will admit that I made a bad choice on that. But, at least her game has been slightly better than JP’s, who is also on my draft team.

We don’t see much from Soko after that, but if they go to tribal council, this could go one of two ways. Either they manage to vote out Roark to get rid of an original Healer, or Ryan and Ali will get Roark on their side to make a vote 3-2. I want to believe Ryan is smart enough to get the swing vote instead of everyone voting Roark and then Soko is stuck voting 2/2 afterward.

‘The next vote is going to rocks’

After last tribal, we were left with two original Healers, one Hero, and one Hustler. Basically what we are seeing is the Healers are kicking ass in this game whether they are all together or they are split up. Devon makes it clear to Ashley that he is sticking with her going forward because he doesn’t trust someone like Joe. Who would? Ashley says for next tribal, they are going to rocks, but I don’t know about thaattt.

Maybe for Ashley’s game, going to rocks is the best move because it is the only move she has left. For Devon, it would be a nail in the coffin. Joe and Desi will obviously vote for Ashley. If Devon truly sticks with Ashley and they go to rocks, he has a 50% chance to go home. So his best move at this point is just to vote out Ashley, who also happens to be on my draft team.

If we’re learning anything from this article, it’s that I know how to pick ’em!

Predictions

Some of the gameplay this season has me confused on how some of these people thought they would actually win this way. Why does Cole tell people the location to idols and reveal every secret? Why didn’t Joe or Cole use the clue from the Healers’ beach to go looking for the idol on the Hustlers or Heroes beach? Why did Alan go crazy on purpose thinking everyone would believe him and work with him? And why is there a showmance?

Who’s going to tribal?

I think Yawa is still safe, which leaves Soko and Levu in trouble. Levu lost a huge physical player who would definitely help them win challenges and based on Ashley saying that she is going to rocks, I’m led to believe that Levu is going to tribal again.

Who’s on the chopping block?

With Levu, it could be anyone. I’m 75% sure they are going to rocks with Desi/Joe voting Ashley. If Ashley/Devon are smart, they will vote Desi, so it leaves Joe open to being the second option of being rocked out.

Outside of Levu, on Soko beach, Roark and JP are in trouble. Roark wants an all-girls alliance, and JP is seen leading a charge to vote Roark. If Ryan/Ali bring Roark over as a number, I think they will vote JP. Ryan and Chrissy have developed a relationship also, so there’s the possibility of Chrissy voting JP as well.

Who will find an Idol/advantage?

Obviously not Mike. Mike is the least likely person in this game to find an idol in the next episode. *sarcasm* I think Mike will find the clue in the reward if Yawa wins because nobody would randomly dig a hole in the ground to look for an idol.

Who will go home?

I’m not sure how strategically Levu is thinking, but I think Ashley or Desi goes home next. If they were really thinking, Ashley/Devon would vote Desi, so Joe isn’t automatically safe from rocks.

I think this is the first prediction I’ve made where I haven’t brought up Lauren’s name as going home next. But I didn’t want to exclude her because knowing my predictions, the one time I don’t bring up her name, she will go home. SO, with that being said, she is on the bottom.

Winner Prediction After Episode 4

I’m still convinced Ben will go to the Final 3 at this point. He has had a strong edit in Episodes 1-4, and going into Episode 5 he will have a mental downfall, but I think he will get right back up and continue his game.

  1. “So his best move at this point is just to vote out Ashley, who also happens to be on my draft team.” – I disagree a little bit here… If he tries to thow Asheley under the bus, it can backfire really fast. The healers can out him to Ashey if they think he is more dangerous than her and get him out. If they decide to eliminate him, they wouldn’t even need Ashley’s vote and they could go 2-1-1. So, if he tries to get her out, it would be really dangerous and he would have to trust Joe, he seems unwilling to do that.
I think it can not go to rocks, because of the re-vote, but I don’t think the vote will be decided before tribal.
There is also the chance of the healers thowing each other under the bus, which I would do if I were Dasi, the others will be happy in voting out Joe
