CBS have announced several winter and spring scheduling moves including the premiere of Survivor: Game Changers – Mamanuca Islands.

Today, CBS revealed part of the upcoming schedule for its winter and spring programming, including several primetime premiere dates. It features the return of SURVIVOR, UNDERCOVER BOSS, and THE AMAZING RACE (the 29th season which was filmed last year). Also, three new drama series RANSOM, TRAINING DAY and DOUBT will debut early 2017.

But most important to Survivor fans is the air date of the upcoming thirty-fourth season, SURVIVOR: GAME CHANGERS, which will premiere Wednesday, March 8 at 8:00 PM with a two-hour special. This is the first time Survivor has premiered in March and is two weeks later than the usual February premiere date. HUNTED, CBS’s newest reality show will be airing in the Survivor timeslot and will conclude March 1.

Given the late start and the two-hour premiere, it is expected that the episode will feature two eliminations similar to the season premiere of Survivor: Cagayan. Inside Survivor revealed the theme for Season 34 earlier this year, as well as the complete 20-person cast and tribe divisions made up of former Survivor castaways. The season was filmed in Fiji in June.

“The next season of SURVIVOR debuts with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, March 8 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), one week after the conclusion of HUNTED. SURVIVOR moves to its regular Wednesday (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period on March 15.”

Stay tuned to Inside Survivor over the coming months for more news and features regarding season 34, Survivor: Game Changers. Check out our previous Survivor: Game Changer Connections features written this past summer.
