Survivor: Game Changers

Power Rankings Round 7

Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor in power rankings for Survivor: Game Changers Episode 8 & 9.

While the castaways of Survivor: Game Changers fight it out on the islands of Fiji for the million dollar prize, another battle is taking place here on Inside Survivor. Former Survivor player and “Mother of Dragons” Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor’s Martin “Redmond” Holmes to determine the Inside Survivor Power Rankings champion.

Previously on Power Rankings…

In Round 6, Martin and Michelle both received 14 points for ranking Jeff in 14th place. That means the overall scores are Martin at 106 points and Michelle close behind on 104 points. Things could all change as we head into the merge and a double episode!

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if Michaela is voted out in Episode 8, Martin would receive 12 points and Michelle would receive 7 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings Champion.

1
Sarah
Seems to be getting a GREAT edit despite not having done much so far... Sooo I'm assuming she's about to start making moves and playing more out front.
1
Sierra
She has close allies. She has the Legacy Advantage which guarantees her safety at the first merge vote (should she play it). Even if she doesn't play her immunity, I think Sierra is in a strong enough position to survive the early phase of the merge.
2
Sierra
She's strong but not THAT strong. People have their eyes on different targets at this point. Plus she's well liked. I don't think they'll want to get rid of her anytime soon.
2
Troyzan
He seems to have been brought into the Brad fold. He still has an idol. Also, who is really looking at Troyzan as a threat right now?
3
Andrea
Still just hasn't had much screentime. It would be a bit of a shock to see her out this early.
3
Sarah
I think Sarah's talk of playing like a "criminal" will finally come to pass now we've reached the merge. I expect her to start playing a more cutthroat game, and it could start by ditching the Ozzy group to join back up with her Troyzan alliance.
4
Hali
Ok ok Brad doesn't seem to like her but I think he's the only one.
4
Tai
Despite his paranoia, Tai has two idols, and I actually do think he has a sense of when to play them. I could also see him jumping back over to his old allies Brad and Sierra, putting him in the majority.
5
Troyzan
Troyzan still has that idol and now he's in good with Brad and Sierra. He'll probably have other friends joining him this week in the merge.
5
Aubry
I maybe should be more scared for Aubry given that she's an original Mana on a Nuku majority tribe. But the fact she connected with Brad last week and was included in that alliance makes me think she's safe for a while.
6
Zeke
Zeke, you're my "Trans Crush Tuesday" pick. #TCT no way you're going home soon after last week!!
6
Cirie
Cirie is similar to Aubry. I should be worried. This will be her first tribal council of the season and as one of the two big names left, she could follow this season's pattern of removing big threats. But being included in that Brad group makes me think she's okay.
7
Michaela
I think they still don't know how good she is at challenges which will play in her favor at this point. Keep it up Michaela! I'm rooting for you!!
7
Brad
He has a tremendous edit, so he should be safe. But the fact he is so blatantly the leader of his alliance does make me pause for thought. If a counter alliance is somehow able to pull off a blindside, I imagine they'd go for the head of the snake.
8
Brad
I really don't think the editing suggests Brad is going home soon but he's obviously a big threat. He was shown crying in front of the women recently and they all seemed to really respond with trust and alliance. I THINK he's safe for now.... Maybe I should have had a good cry right before the merge!!!?
8
Debbie
I'm really not sure where Debbie will go. Does she stick with the Ozzy/Zeke/Andrea group? Or will she patch things up with Brad on Cochran's advice? We should never underestimate another Debbie blow up which could put the target on herself.
9
Aubry
I haven't seen her do much yet BUT that doesn't mean people have forgotten her runner-up finish in Koah Rong.
9
Zeke
After dealing with last week's tribal council with such dignity and grace, Zeke should be able to face anything. I do worry though that he is going to be on the outside of the numbers. I think Brad's alliance looks the most solid, and Zeke could be in their crosshairs.
10
Cirie
Not sure about Cirie right now. She's kinda my wild card.
10
Andrea
Similar to Zeke, I don't see Andrea as someone that will slot into that big Brad alliance unless all the Nukus agree to stick together until all Mana is eliminated. I think she may have to get her scramble on.
11
Tai
Yeah yeah, I know he's got two idols right now but he's so dang trusting he might just not play it when he needs to. No one seems to really trust him because he's always looking for idols and he's also notorious for flipping alliances at the drop of a hat. He's definitely not as safe as he thinks.
11
Hali
If all the old Nukus continue to stick together, then as an original Mana, Hali could be in danger. She wasn't included in the majority that Brad laid out last episode either.
12
Debbie
Ok so here's my prediction... Debbie will be the second boot this week by being idoled out by Tai. I think they'll all vote Tai after telling him to vote Debbie but then he'll get cold feet, play his idol, and Debbie will go home.
12
Michaela
She's lost her two closest allies (Sandra and Varner), and also wasn't included in Brad's alliance last week. Combine that with her "unknown" element and Michaela could be an easy merge target. Although she could go on an immunity run!
13
Ozzy
Sorry Ozzy, unless you win immunity you're definitely going home. EVERY single person has you in their sights at this point. Welcome to the merge.
13
Ozzy
This season has been about taking out the big players and Ozzy is the biggest threat left (on paper at least). The fear of an immunity streak will be too much to overcome, so if he doesn't win the challenge, I think he's a goner.

One response to “Power Rankings Round 7”

  1. Agree that sarah will start playing more cutthroat at the merge. Gee, that sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
She’s the only one I’d really rank lower, I otherwise agree with these predictions. Should be a good episode!
