Season

  • BB22 is only the second season to feature all returning players, after BB7.
    • Both seasons were All-Star seasons.
    • Both seasons also had Janelle and Kaysar on the cast.

Cast

  • Janelle is the first player in Big Brother to compete with 50 different houseguests (all numbers don’t include Janelle in the count).
    • BB6: 13 Houseguests.
    • BB7: 10 Houseguests (14 Houseguests to start minus Howie, James, & Kaysar, who she played with on BB6).
    • BB14: 14 Houseguests (16 Houseguests to start minus Mike Boogie who she played with on BB7).
    • BB22: 13 Houseguests (16 Houseguests to start minus Ian who she played with on BB14 and Kaysar who she played with on BB6 & BB7).

HOH (Head of Household)

  • Cody won the “Star Steppin’” HOH competition.
    • This is his fourth HOH Competition win in BB.
    • The first time Cody won HOH was in week 4 of BB16.
    • Cody is one of two players to win multiple HOHs in BB16 but never be dethroned due to the Battle of the Block.
      • The other was Caleb Reynolds.
      • Coincidentally, both of them played in two seasons of a CBS reality show where their first season was all new players (BB16 for Cody and Survivor: Kaoh Rong for Caleb) and their second season was all returning players (BB22 for Cody and Survivor: Game Changers for Caleb).
  • Both times Christmas played BB, someone named Cody won the first HOH competition.

Safety Suite

  • Kaysar won the Safety Suite competition and chose Janelle as his plus 1.
  • He’s the first player in BB history to win a Safety Suite competition.
    • Both players who earned safety this week are players that participated in both BB6 and BB7.

Nominations

  • Keesha and Kevin were nominated for eviction.
    • Keesha and Kevin were both nominated in week 9 in their first seasons.
    • They both also played in seasons with Jessie Godderz and they both voted to evict him.
    • The last time they played, they both only received one eviction vote the entire season, and they were both voted out by one of the season’s finalists.
      • Keesha was voted out by Memphis at final 4.
      • Kevin was voted out by Jordan at final 3.
        • Both Memphis and Jordan have returned to play Big Brother.
        • Neither Keesha nor Kevin voted for the person to win Big Brother that voted them out.
          • Keesha voted for Dan to win, and Kevin voted for Natalie to win.

  • Enzo won the “It’s Bananas” POV competition.
    • This is his second POV competition win.

    • This is his first time winning POV while not on the block.
    • This is the first time Enzo won the POV and didn’t use it.
  • Enzo is the third player from this season to win the first POV of a season.
    • Janelle won the first POV in BB7.
    • Dani won the first POV in BB8.
      • Enzo is the only male player this season who has won the first POV of a season.
  • This is the first time in three seasons where Kaysar didn’t compete in the first POV competition of the season.
  • Cody and Tyler competed in the first POV in both of their seasons and lost both.
  • A man has won the first POV in the most recent three seasons.
    • Fessy won it in BB20.
    • Sam won it in BB21.
    • Enzo won it in BB22.
      • Alex from BB19 is the most recent woman to win the first POV.
  • Variations of this competition (“Giddy Up”) have been seen in BB16, BB18, BB20, and Celebrity BB2.
    • This competition has only been won by men.
    • It’s been used in every even-numbered season since it was first seen.
    • Scottie (BB20) is the only player to win this competition in a regular season that never played with Nicole Franzel.
      • Hayden won it in BB16, Paul won it in BB18, and Enzo won it in BB22.

    • This is her first time being evicted pre-jury.

      • They are also tied with Amy Crews from BB3 and Danielle Lickey from BB: OTT for most total eviction votes for a female houseguest with 13.
  • Memphis has voted to evict Keesha in both seasons they competed in together.
