Channel TEN reveals the much-anticipated premiere date for the brand new Australian Survivor.
Anticipation has been mounting since last November when Channel TEN announced that Australian Survivor would be returning to network television. In that time we have had confirmation of location, host and even the cast, but a premiere date escaped us. Until now.
UPDATE 08/07/16: Full Schedule now released.
In a promo video that aired in Australia last night, it was revealed that the new Australian Survivor would premiere Sunday, August 21 at 7:30 pm (EST) on Channel TEN. The same day the Rio 2016 Olympics come to a close. It will air two episodes per week, on a Sunday and Monday. The season, set on the islands of Samoa, lasts a total of 55 days and features 24 castaways.
How to watch outside Australia?
Right now, there are no plans to broadcast the season in the US or any country outside of Australia and New Zealand (where it will air on TV2). However, in this modern internet age, episodes are sure to be uploaded online via various streaming services.
Inside Survivor has a significant Australian readership so we will be providing coverage of the season. Our two new Aussie contributors, Alice Barelli and Heath Chick, will be bringing you weekly episode reviews, and we will also host Player of the Week polls.
Stay tuned to Inside Survivor for the latest.

7:30 in which time zone? Australia has three. That means it could be anywhere from 5:30 to 7:30 AM for the eastern U.S. … not that we’d be watching live anyway. Just curious, I guess.
Eastern Standard Time. 🙂
It’s supposed to air in NZ. TV2 is airing it in September.
Thank you, Redmond! We appreciate in advance your offering us the links to watch outside of AUS!
