Survivor: Game Changers

Power Rankings Round 2

Former Survivor player Michelle Schubert and Inside Survivor’s Martin Holmes make their power rankings for the next episode of Survivor: Game Changers.

While the castaways of Survivor: Game Changers fight it out on the islands of Fiji for the million dollar prize, another battle is taking place here on Inside Survivor. Former Survivor player and “Mother of Dragons” Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor’s Martin “Redmond” Holmes to determine the Inside Survivor Power Rankings champion.

Previously on Power Rankings…

After Round 1, the scores are tied. Michelle gained 37 points in total for ranking Ciera in 20th place and Tony in 17th. Martin also received 37 points for ranking Ciera in 18th place and Tony in 19th (moved up one after the first boot). Early days and already Michelle is proving tough competition, what will this week bring with the upcoming tribe swap?

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if Ozzy is voted out in Episode 3, Michelle will receive 16 points, and Martin will receive 1 point. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings Champion.

1
Sarah
She's strong, and she does seem to be playing smarter and more cautious this time around. I don't think she'll go tonight.
1
Ozzy
Oh, the dreaded unpredictable swap week. I'm keeping Ozzy at the top of the coconut tree because he's too valuable to a pre-merge tribe no matter where he ends up.
2
Jeff
He seems likable, helpful, strong. But not too likable, helpful or strong... Also, did y'all see how good of a liar he was at last week's tribal council?! He's sneakier than I originally gave him credit for.
2
Sierra
Again, who is looking at Sierra as a threat right now? She has no legacy in this game despite literally having the legacy in this game.
3
Sierra
After seeing last week's episode, Sierra doesn't seem to be involved in any of the drama. I think she'll lie low for a while.
3
Hali
Same as above. Hali shouldn't be on anyone's radar unless their radar is seriously malfunctioning.
4
Brad
I just don't think anyone sees him as a strategic threat at this point.
4
Brad
Brad is slow playing it right now and it's working. You scratch his back and he'll scratch yours. Probably with a hammer.
5
Tai
Tai is too cute and likable to send home yet. Plus if you vote him out, who would take care of the chickens??
5
Sarah
Jeremy Collins perfected the Meat Shield strategy, Sarah is going for THE SHIELD strategy. The Vic Mackey approach; the criminal cop. Right now she's laying low and waiting to strike.
6
Andrea
Another low key player at this point. I think she's safe.
6
Malcolm
After almost pulling off an insane comeback, single-handedly, surely there is no way a pre-merge tribe is getting rid of Malcolm anytime soon? Plus the preview shows he ends up with four other Mana members.
7
Michaela
I'm sticking to my idea that she's the best shield in the game. She's on the outside of any alliances, and everyone knows it. She's also not seen as a threat at this point. That's precisely the kind of person you keep around to use her vote to further your own agenda.
7
Michaela
Michaela would make a great mime artist with her facial expressions. There's a chance her face and mouth get her into trouble, but I think she's too valuable in the challenges to get rid of this early.
8
Troyzan
Useful and seems funny. Not a threat, safe tonight.
8
Andrea
There is no real reason why anyone should come after Andrea at a swap, but I'm now fearing that her quiet edit last week is leading to a Monica Padilla style swap boot. Stay away from the clams.
9
Aubry
Still just seems like a smart girl; she'll be able to align correctly and stay out of trouble.
9
Aubry
Seeing as she got votes last week and seemed to be next on the chopping block, the swap is coming at the perfect time for the geek goddess.
10
Debbie
Debbie. Is. So. Weird. She's a riot. I actually just hope she sticks around and I have a good feeling she will.
10
Debbie
The giant squid of Game Changers proved to have some decent strategic perception last week. If Debbie can keep that up, I don't think anyone will be after her just yet unless she starts to bug them.
11
JT
Good at challenges and likable. His name doesn't seem to be tossed around yet despite his history as a winner.
11
Zeke
Everyone is on edge after a swap, and as one of the new kids, Zeke might be an easy target to throw votes on. I think he will do okay, though.
12
Hali
Haven't seen much of her yet which means she's also not on people's radar to get rid of.
12
Jeff
Given the focus on his challenge weaknesses in those first two episodes, plus his history with the swap, there is always a chance Jeff is yet again a swap casualty.
13
Malcolm
There were a couple of comments made about him last episode that made me think people don't quite trust him and his strategic gameplay. Part of me wants to put him even lower on this list.
13
Tai
Will people tire of his chicken antics and decide to cut him loose so they can feast in peace?
14
Caleb
Similar to Malcolm, I just think people are keeping a close eye on all these golden boys.
14
Caleb
His strength should be an asset to a new tribe but we know from the preview that five Mana members end up together on Nuku, and Caleb isn't one of them, so it could leave him outnumbered and an easy scapegoat should his tribe lose.
15
Zeke
None of his tribemates have seen him play which I think will make them wary of him. Plus, are people thinking he's aligning with Cirie?
15
Troyzan
Similar to Caleb, he should be okay, but he isn't on the tribe with all those Mana numbers, so could be an easy vote off if people want to play safe and keep in the majority.
16
Ozzy
I predicted last week that as soon as there's a tribe swap, Ozzy will be voted out. In hopes of seeming prophetic, I kinda hope that happens, and I don't think it's unimaginable. They voted out Tony last week which shows they aren't super concerned about the strength of the tribe and being that all of these players have survived before, they probably aren't as worried about provision either.
16
Cirie
Cirie was in trouble on original Nuku, so a tribe swap could be a great chance for her to change her luck. But it didn't seem like she had any close allies, so it might not matter who ends she up with, she is still a big threat and easy target.
17
Cirie
Her name came up a few times already. People are concerned about her strategic and manipulative play.
17
Sandra
One should never underestimate the Queen, but now with Tony gone, she is the next big obvious threat. I'll be fearful for Sandra every single week as long as she is still in this game.
18
Sandra
I don't want to put her name here. She really is the queen. But gosh. So cocky and no one likes that, amirite?
18
JT
This one might be too obvious but all we have to go on is the preview, and we can see JT is outnumbered on his new tribe and causing a stir by idol hunting and goat slaughtering. Unless the rest of his tribe go missing at sea, JT seems the easy target.

  1. Though I want Michelle to win, the scores right now should be 37-38 because last time for Martin, Ciera was 18th and Tony was 20th, Michelle, Ciera was 20th and Tony was 17th.

    • Yes, but after Ciera was booted it meant there was only 19 players left in the game, so would be unfair to claim 20 points for Tony. So he moved up to 19th place, hence 19 points. 🙂

  2. THANK YOU MICHELLE! No one else agrees with me – I think Michaela could be the best shield and ally in the game come merge. She’s utr enough atm not to be noticed, and loyal with few options. If she makes it to merge, her challenge prowess will shine through. For her allies, its better to know where the immunity will go and have it be on your side, while also knowing she will be targeted if or when she loses. I could almost see her potentially being a challenge goat – make it to the end through immunities, but carried strategically with smarter players.
