Survivor: Game Changers

Power Rankings Round 3

Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor in power rankings for Survivor: Game Changers Episode 4

While the castaways of Survivor: Game Changers fight it out on the islands of Fiji for the million dollar prize, another battle is taking place here on Inside Survivor. Former Survivor player and “Mother of Dragons” Michelle Schubert takes on Inside Survivor’s Martin “Redmond” Holmes to determine the Inside Survivor Power Rankings champion.

Previously on Power Rankings…

After Round 2, the scores are tied yet again! Michelle and Martin both placed Caleb in 14th place last week, thereby gaining 14 points each. That means the overall scores are tied at 51 points a piece. Is this the week where someone will start to pull ahead?

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if Andrea is voted out in Episode 4, Martin will receive 14 points, and Michelle will receive 6 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Game Changers Power Rankings Champion.

1
Sarah
Strong, subtle, safe.
1
Ozzy
I'll continue to put Ozzy at the top because I just don't see a tribe getting rid of him pre-merge. He's too much of a help at camp and in challenges, and he's a predictable strategist.
2
Sierra
In a safe position, under the radar. Not a big threat but not a drag around camp.
2
Troyzan
Even though he's down in numbers, he has an idol, and while Troyzan certainly has a history of misplaying idols, I don't think there's any chance he goes this week.
3
Brad
Brad, it appears, is in the most powerful position in the game. He's running his tribe of minions who all seem to be listening to him.
3
Sierra
Firmly in the majority on Mana and not an immediate threat. Would take some terrible misfortune for Sierra to go this episode.
4
Michaela
Why would you vote her out at this point? Tough, physical competitor and good to have around camp.
4
Brad
Like Sierra, he's in the majority and seemingly the one calling the shots. Brad is playing well, and it'd be a surprise if he went anytime soon, but he does have a history of blowing up his game.
5
Aubry
She seems to have a voice among her tribe. I don't see her leaving yet.
5
Michaela
With big threats like Sandra, Malcolm, and JT on her tribe, Michaela has the ability to slip through the cracks.
6
Andrea
We haven't seen much of her lately.
6
Sarah
We hardly saw Sarah last week which makes me think she isn't in any immediate danger. She's an asset in challenges and in the majority on Tavua.
7
Jeff
Smart and articulate. Good liar. Pretty safe.
7
Debbie
Debbie is in a good spot. Looks to be part of a solid trio with Brad and Sierra. There's always a chance she could say the wrong thing and turn people against her, but I think she is okay right now.
8
Debbie
Debbie thinks she's really clever, and she is... to an extent.
8
Zeke
He shouldn't be in trouble because he has numbers on Tavua, but if Troyzan's idol causes some chaos, I could see a scenario where Zeke's allies are willing to sacrifice him to save themselves.
9
Troyzan
He has an idol. Good job Troyzan! However, he doesn't seem to be overly respected by his tribemates.
9
Aubry
Very quiet edit for Aubry last week which makes me believe she isn't going to be in trouble this episode. She doesn't stand out as a threat as much as Sandra, Malcolm, and JT. The only problem is if people fear the Kaoh Rong connection.
10
Ozzy
Seems like every time we see him it's in relationship to his safety or lack thereof... and he's constantly looking for assurance from Cirie.
10
Tai
After sticking with the old Nukus, Tai should have earned some loyalty. But I could see a situation where people are suddenly like, "Well, if Tai took out his best friend, what's stopping him from turning on us?"
11
Cirie
We haven't seen much of her tribe, but this rivalry between her and Ozzy could culminate in one of them going home.
11
Malcolm
While Malcolm should be safe, he'll always be a big target, and the fact the preview shows him colluding with JT could put him in the crosshairs of Queen Sandra.
12
Zeke
As we heard last episode, relationships coming into the game matter, and he simply doesn't have them.
12
Jeff
Jeff is set up pretty well but challenge liability is always a factor, and if Nuku loses, the big threats might decide to get rid of the weak link.
13
Tai
I couldn't like what I saw last week: Tai being manipulated into any vote Brad wanted. He has not shown himself to be a reliable ally. If I didn't like him so much, I'd call him a spineless-jelly-weasel.
13
Cirie
Troy's idol worries me, and while I think there's a more obvious idol target than Cirie, she is the next option, especially as Troy fears smart women.
14
Malcolm
We've been seeing a lot of him and his tribe. If they lose, his name could easily be tossed into the mix being the threat he is.
14
Andrea
She seemed to be set up as the person Troyzan would target if he played his idol. If Tavua loses, I think Andrea is most likely to get the chop.
15
Hali
She seems to be on the bottom, if her tribe loses, she's probably gone.
15
Sandra
Looks like we could be getting another champion vs. champion showdown. It could go either way but I have to stay loyal to the Queen.
16
Sandra
I really do think the queen will stay queen, but the teaser for this next episode highlighted that her name might be on the chopping block again.
16
JT
If you come at the Queen, you best not miss. JT is certainly capable of toppling Sandra, but I'm not sure he has the numbers to pull it off. Should have let her eat that goat!
17
JT
I think the editing has geared us up for a big sad goodbye of our beloved JT, protector of the fatherless goats. He's definitely on the outs with his tribe and is about to wage war on the queen.
17
Hali
It seems like the original Nukus on new Mana are solidly together and I don't think any argument from the budding attorney will help her.

  1. I’ve never been a huge fan of Tai’s, and I don’t think he is a terribly good Survivor player, but I’m not sure that the term “loyalty” should be extended to friendships outside of the game. Technically speaking, Tai was loyal to his alliance members, who happen to be his Nuku tribe mates (not Caleb). Furthermore, since Brad didn’t need Tai’s vote to eliminate Caleb, Tai’s vote was more ceremonial than anything else: a gesture to prove his loyalty; which is what he wisely did. It’s not like Caleb’s elimination rested on Tai’s vote. This was the subtext of Brad’s conversation with Tai, and Tai made the correct decision to stay on the good side of his alliance mates; most of all bc they have the #s right now to call the shots.
