CBS have revealed their Winter scheduling plans for 2018, including several primetime premiere dates. The reality heavy line-up features the return of Survivor and The Amazing Race, plus the first ever U.S. edition of Celebrity Big Brother, which will air over three weeks on a condensed schedule.
But most important to Survivor fans is the air date of the upcoming thirty-sixth season, Survivor: Ghost Island, which will premiere Wednesday, February 28 at 8:00 PM with a special two-hour episode. The season, which was filmed in Fiji earlier this year, will feature twenty brand new castaways vying for the $1 million prize.
“The next installment of the Emmy Award-winning SURVIVOR taking place in Fiji debuts with a special two-hour episode on Wednesday, Feb. 28 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), after BIG BROTHER and THE AMAZING RACE conclude. It moves to its regular Wednesday (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period on March 7.”
It is unclear at this point if the premiere will feature two separate one-hour episodes – much like we saw with Survivor: Game Changers – or if it will be a two-hour feature length episode with just one elimination.
Stay tuned to Inside Survivor over the coming months for more news and features regarding season 36.
