CBS has released a sneak peek of the upcoming Survivor 45 premiere, which is set to air at 8 pm ET on Wednesday, September 27.
The clip (watch below) shows the first three minutes of the season with the 18 castaways arriving by boat. As usual, we’re introduced to a handful of players, including grad student Drew Basile, civil rights attorney Katurah Topps, investment analyst Emily Flippen, attorney Jake O’Kane, and gym owner Nicholas “Sifu” Alsup.
Drew touts himself as the smartest person to ever play Survivor, while Katurah reveals that she’s going to keep her job a secret to hide her intelligence. Meanwhile, Emily says she isn’t there for the experience and only has eyes on winning.
Jake talks about living with his 85-year-old grandma and how he needs the money to help buy a place of his own. And Sifu introduces us to his tai-chi techniques and life as a touring heavy metal musician, even giving us an original song.
There are also brief introductions for school principal Sean Edwards, critical care nurse Kellie Nalbandian, and entrepreneur Dee Valladares.
Perhaps surprisingly, there is no intro for insurance agent Bruce Perreault, who is returning for his second shot after being medically evacuated in the first episode of Survivor 44.
Survivor 45 was filmed in Fiji and will premiere on September 27. For the first time ever, each episode will be 90 minutes.
