Things are about to get spooky on Wednesday, February 28, when Survivor returns to our screens and enters Ghost Island. The 36th season of the legendary reality-show, titled Survivor: Ghost Island, was filmed in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, the same location as last year’s Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. The cast was initially revealed by Inside Survivor back in July 2017, but today CBS has officially confirmed the line-up.
Twenty all-new castaways will battle it out for the $1 million grand prize and the title of Sole Survivor. The theme of the season revolves around past mistakes and fatal errors made by former players. Ghost Island will be populated with hidden immunity idols and misplayed advantages from Survivor’s past, giving a chance for the new group of castaways to “reverse the curse” by putting those tainted items to good use. The twenty players will be divided into two tribes of ten – Malolo and Naviti – and for the first time in years will not be separated based on theme-related criteria.
The new line-up includes several Survivor superfans. An NFL Cheerleader. A Killer Whale Trainer. An 18-year-old model. A Deep Sea Fisherman. And even a former Inside Survivor writer!
