Rob Brodeur breaks down all the latest stats from the tenth episode!

Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Ghost Island.

Tribal Council

  • Desiree was voted out 8-2.
  • Both people named “Desiree” that have played Survivor were voted out in 11th place.
    • Desiree Williams from Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers was the other one.
  • Kellyn and Laurel are the only remaining players with a perfect voting record (Chelsea had a perfect voting record until this episode).
  • Michael Yerger is the first person named Michael to go by “Michael” and not be eliminated in 11th place on their first season.
    • Michael Skupin The Australian Outback – 11th place.
      • When he came back for Philippines, he was referred to as “Skupin” and made it to Final Tribal Council.
    • Michael Jefferson – One World – 11th place.
    • Michael Snow – Caramoan – 11th place.
      • Everyone named Michael, but who went by a nickname on the show, were never voted out in 11th place.

Ghost Island/Advantage

  • Angela is the second person to receive a “no vote” parchment at Ghost Island, after Chris.
  • So far, Kellyn is the only person remaining to go to Ghost Island more than once. Chris also went twice.

Hidden Immunity Idol

  • Donathan found both Tai and Scot’s unused idols from Kaoh Rong. In Kaoh Rong, they could be combined to create a super idol, which could be played after the votes are read. This season, Donathan had to find both idols in order to create a regular hidden immunity idol.
    • Scot was voted out with his idol, while Tai never used his.
  • Every male that made it to the merge has found a hidden immunity idol, with the exception of Sebastian.

Confessionals

  • Desiree had the most confessionals this episode with 5.
  • Chelsea, Jenna and Wendell had 0 confessionals this episode
    • Chelsea hasn’t had any post-merge confessionals.

Reward Challenge “Caged Tigers”

  • This challenge was previously seen in Marquesas and All-Stars.
    • This challenge holds the record for most seasons between appearances, with 28 seasons between All-Stars and Ghost Island.
    • This is the first time it’s been used as a post-merge challenge.
  • Chelsea is the only person so far to be on both winning teams for the reward challenges.

Immunity Challenge “Take The Reigns”

  • This challenge has previously been used in Redemption Island, One World, San Juan Del Sur, Cambodia and Kaoh Rong.
    • Two different versions of this challenge have been used.
      • Balance a ball on a disk while holding it – Redemption Island, One World, Kaoh Rong.
      • Balance a ball on a disk that is supported by two ropes- San Juan Del Sur, Cambodia, Ghost Island.
  • The first three individual immunity challenges were all won by original Naviti women.
  • Including last season, the past 10 individual immunity challenges have been won by women.
    • Chelsea, Angela, Kellyn, Chrissy (x3), Ashley, Chrissy, Ashley, Lauren.
      • Cole won before Lauren, but Desi won before Cole, so the last 11 out of 12 individual immunity challenges have been won by women.
    • This is the longest streak in Survivor history of women winning individual immunity challenges.
  • The top three players in this immunity challenge have all finished in third place in the three individual immunity challenges this season.
    • Chelsea finished third in the first immunity challenge
    • Sebastian finished third in the second immunity challenge.
    • Kellyn finished third in this immunity challenge.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “It’s Like the Perfect Crime” was said by Jeff Probst at tribal council.

    • If there is a break of more than 10 seconds between confessionals, they are counted as separate confessionals.

      • Ah! I do my own pool and count confessionals, but wasn’t understanding why they were so different than mine! I only count them when their name appears again on the screen. Thanks!
