Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Game Changers.

Vote-out

  • Caleb was voted out 5-1.
  • Both times Caleb was eliminated, it was on day 9.
  • In his nine days in Kaoh Rong, Caleb never attended a single tribal council. In his nine days in Game Changers, he attended every single tribal council.
    • Both Culpeppers have voted out a former Big Brother player.
      • Monica voted out Hayden from BB12 in Blood vs. Water.
      • Brad voted out Caleb from BB16 in Game Changers.
        • Both Culpeppers have also voted out someone named Caleb.
    • Caleb is the fifth person to be a returning player and only be affiliated with two tribes.
      • Francesca Hogi, Tom Westman, Colton Cumbie, and Russell Swan are the others.
    • Both times Caleb was eliminated, spices were part of the reward for winning the challenge.
    • Caleb is the only former Big Brother player to play Survivor twice.
    • Caleb is the fourth person who was previously medically evacuated to be voted out in their returning season. The others are as follows:
      • James Clement – evacuated in Micronesia, voted out in Heroes vs. Villains.
      • Russell Swan – evacuated in Samoa, voted out in Philippines.
      • Jonathan Penner – evacuated in Micronesia, voted out in Philippines.
    • In seasons with a three-tribe expansion, during the three-tribe period, the person voted out was always in the majority with their original tribe on their new tribe. Caleb is the first person to be in the minority on his new tribe and be voted out.
      • Peih-Gee and Jeff were in the Ta Keo majority on Angkor in Cambodia.
      • Monica was in the Bayon majority on New Bayon in Cambodia.
      • CeCe was in the Takali majority on New Vanua in Millennials vs. Gen X.
      • Figgy was in the Vanua majority on New Takali in Millennials vs. Gen X.
      • Michaela was in the Vanua majority on Ikabula in Millennials vs. Gen X.

Tribal Council

  • Just like Cambodia, the first three voted out players were from the same starting tribe.
    • Ta Keo in Cambodia.
    • Mana in Game Changers.
  • In Worlds Apart, Hali never received a vote against her pre-merge. This season she received one from Caleb.
  • Jeff, Malcolm, Sandra, and Troyzan are the only remaining Mana members with 0 votes against them.
    • Nobody from the Nuku tribe has received any votes against them yet.

Hidden Immunity Idol

  • This is Troyzan’s second time finding a hidden immunity idol.
  • He is the third person to find a hidden immunity idol at a challenge.
    • Kelley Wentworth and Jeremy Collins were the other two in Cambodia.

Confessionals

  • JT had the most confessionals this episode with 8.
    • He got the same number of confessionals as the entire Tavua tribe combined.
  • Aubry and Sarah received 0 confessionals this episode.

Swap

  • Tavua is the third “expansion tribe” after Angkor in Cambodia and Ikabula in Millennials vs. Gen X.
    • Ikabula and Tavua are both green tribes.
  • This is Jeff, Michaela, and Zeke’s second time participating in a “tribe expansion” type of swap.
    • All three have been a part of one of the “expanded” tribes.
      • Jeff on Angkor in Cambodia.
      • Michaela on Ikabula in Millennials vs. Gen X.
      • Zeke on Tavua in Game Changers.
  • Tavua is named after a town in Fiji.
  • The first and last people in the cast alphabetically by first name (Andrea and Zeke) are on Tavua.
  • This is the first time Brad, Caleb, JT, and Sandra have participated in a tribe swap.
  • This is the first time Cirie and Ozzy have been swapped from their original tribes.
    • Coincidentally, they both ended up on Tavua.
    • Both times Ozzy and Cirie participated in a swap together, they ended up on the same post-swap tribe.
      • Malakal in Micronesia.
      • Tavua in Game Changers.
    • This is also Cirie and Ozzy’s second time on a green tribe together.
      • The first was Dabu in Micronesia.

Immunity Challenge

  • Sandra, Ozzy, and JT have all previously competed in a Survivor “obstacle course” similar to the one seen in this episode.
  • This challenge is infamously the one that Missy broke her leg in during San Juan Del Sur.
  • This is the first time Jeff has won an immunity challenge since Episode 4 of The Australian Outback, 17 years ago.

Overall Records

  • Ozzy has now surpassed Amanda for Most Days Played in All Appearances with 113 days to her 108.
  • Cirie has also moved up the Most Days Played in All Appearances, jumping ahead of Russell Hantz and Jerri with 94 days.
  • And Sandra likewise has moved up, pushing ahead of Tina and Tyson, with 87 days.
  • Sandra has also surpassed Russell Hantz in Consecutive Days Played Without Being Voted Out, with 87 to his 86 (he was voted out Day 8 in Redemption Island). Amanda still holds the record at 108.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “Survivor Jackpot” was said by Malcolm in a confessional talking about the Nuku camp.

  1. Also, Caleb now joins Francesca and Randy as the only returning players to not accumulate a total of 39 days playing the game.

  2. Hali is the last remaining player to attend all Tribal Councils thus far.

    Caleb is the fifth player in history to play twice and be eliminated pre-merge or jury both times, joining Russell Swan, Francesca Hogi, Colton Cumbie, and Jeff Varner.
