Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction.

Tribal Council

  • Eric was voted out 8-2-2.
    • Every Eric/Erik to play Survivor has made it to the merge and been on the jury.
      • Erik Huffman – China
      • Erik Reichenbach – Micronesia & Caramoan
      • Erik Cardona – Samoa
      • Eric Hafemann – Edge of Extinction
  • Eric is the first Kama member to receive votes that wasn’t a returning player.
  • Every time a Kama member received votes this season so far, they were voted out.
    • None of the Kama members that are left in the game have any votes against them.
  • Kelley has received votes at 5/7 of the tribal councils she’s attended this season.
  • Julia is the only person with a perfect voting record so far this season.
  • Kelley, Lauren, and Wardog have voted together at all 7 tribal councils they’ve attended.
  • Wardog is still the only original Manu member/Lesu member to not have any votes cast against him so far.
  • Rick hasn’t cast a correct vote since episode 3.
    • He’s the only player left in the game that hasn’t cast at least one correct vote during the merge.
  • Joe is the fifth player to be on the jury three times. The others are as follows:
    • Rupert Boneham – Pearl Islands, All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains
    • Cirie Fields – Panama, Micronesia, Game Changers
    • Ozzy Lusth – Micronesia, South Pacific, Game Changers
    • Andrea Boehlke – Redemption Island, Caramoan, Game Changers
      • Joe and Andrea are the only people to play three times and be on the jury every time they played.

Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage.

  • Rick received an extra vote when he was on Edge of Extinction that he had to send to someone still in the game. He sent it to Aubry, and she was voted out with it. Aubry then received an extra vote at Edge of Extinction that she had to send to someone still in the game and she sent it to Aurora.

Confessionals

  • David and Ron had the most confessionals this episode with 4 each.
  • Julie, Victoria, and Chris had the least amount of confessionals this episode with 0 each.
  • This was the first episode since episode 2 that Aurora got a confessional.
  • Kelley has the most total confessionals this season with 25.
  • Everyone on Edge of Extinction had 2 confessionals this episode with the exception of Chris who had 0.

Edge of Extinction

  • Despite more Manu members being voted out so far, there are more Kama members currently on the jury/on Edge of Extinction.
    • Aubry, Joe, and Eric were on Kama.
    • Reem and Chris were on Manu.
  • Joe is the only player on Edge of Extinction to never be a member of the Manu tribe.

Reward Challenge – “Planks A Lot”

  • This is the first time Rick and Wardog have won a reward since episode 3.
  • Kelley and Lauren haven’t won a reward since episode 3.

Immunity Challenge – “Keep on Your Toes”

  • Aurora is the first openly gay woman to win individual immunity since Jolanda Jones in Palau.
    • Aurora won it in a challenge while Jolanda won it during the “swim to the beach” challenge in the premiere episode of the season.
  • David was the last man standing in the challenge.
  • Aurora won both challenges this episode.
  • This challenge has previously been played in Cagayan, Worlds Apart, and Game Changers.
    • This was the first individual immunity challenge Joe lost in Worlds Apart and he was voted out at the tribal council in the episode.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “I’m the Puppet Master” was said by Ron when talking about his position in the “Kama Strong” alliance
    • Ron is only the second non-returning player to have an episode title this season so far.
      • Wardog was the first.

  1. About Joe being on jury 3 times. I would like to point out that isn’t a guarantee he might come back and be in the final 3

    • He is currently on the jury, so regardless of whether he comes back in, he was on the jury in this season

  2. So with Victoria getting 0 confs this episode, that means only Aubry – the first eliminated – has the perfect confessional count from Kama. That is ridiculous.
