Tribal Council
- Aurora was voted out 5-1.
- This is the only unanimous post-merge vote so far this season.
- Julie is the second original Kama member to survive being voted for this season (after Aurora).
- Every other eliminated Kama member was voted out at the first tribal council where they received votes.
- Rick has voted for Aurora at the past three tribal councils.
- The only players Rick has successfully voted out post-merge (Julia, Kelley, and Aurora) are the only female players voted out post-merge.
- Lauren has the highest successful vote count this season with 10 correct votes.
- She voted out Keith, Chris, Rick, Wendy, Eric, Julia, David Wardog, Ron, and Aurora.
- Lauren has only been immune for one tribal council this entire season.
- Lesu won immunity in episode 5.
- Eric is still the only post-swap Manu member to be voted out post-merge so far.
- Gavin is the only male to not have any votes against him this season so far, and Victoria is the only female.
- Julie is the only post-swap Kama member remaining in the game.
- She got her first vote against her this episode.
- Everyone on post-swap Kama and post-swap Lesu has votes against them this season.
- Both players who haven’t gotten any votes against them (Gavin & Victoria) were both on post-swap Manu.
- This is the first episode where the person who was voted out didn’t vote for the person who went home at the previous tribal council (this doesn’t include Reem, Aubry, & Joe who were voted out at their first tribal council they attended).
- Keith voted for Reem in episode 1, then he was voted out in episode 2.
- Chris voted for Keith in episode 2, then he was voted out in episode 3.
- Rick voted for Chris in episode 3, then he was voted out in episode 4.
- Wendy voted for Aubry in episode 5, then she was voted out in episode 6.
- Eric voted for Joe in episode 7, then he was voted out in episode 8.
- Julia voted for Eric in episode 8, then she was voted out in episode 9.
- David voted for Julia in episode 9, then he was voted out in episode 10a.
- Kelley voted for David in episode 10a, then she was voted out in episode 10b.
- Wardog voted for Kelley in episode 10b, then he was voted out in episode 11.
- Ron voted for Wardog in episode 11, then he was voted out in episode 12.
- Aurora voted for Rick in episode 12, but he wasn’t voted out. She was then voted out in episode 13.
Hidden Immunity Idol
- Rick is the fifth person to have three idols in a season, he ties the record with the following players:
- Russell Hantz in Samoa.
- Tony Vlachos in Cagayan.
- Tai Trang in Game Changers.
- Ben Driebergen in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
- However, Rick’s first idol was not “found” by him, it was given to him as a reward for returning from the Edge of Extinction.
Confessionals
- Rick had the most confessionals this episode with 10.
- This is his second episode in a row with 10 confessionals.
- Ron, Wardog, and Kelley had the fewest confessionals this episode with 0.
- Rick has the most confessionals so far this season with 51.
- In the past two episodes, Rick’s confessional total is more than eight people have in the entire game.
- Aurora, Julia, Eric, Joe, Chris, Reem, Wendy and Keith have less than 20 total confessionals this season.
- Chris and Julia have the fewest confessionals so far this season with 10 each.
- Rick had the same amount of confessionals in this episode that Chris and Julia have had all season.
Edge of Extinction
- Reem has beaten Matt Elrod’s record that he set in Redemption Island for most time spent voted out of the game but still eligible to return to the game (he spent 29 total days on Redemption Island).
- She’s been out of the game since day 3, spending 31 days on the Edge of Extinction.
- Aubry is the second player to make it to the final episode three times (while she isn’t currently an active player, she does still have a chance to make it back into the game).
- The first is Cirie Fields (Panama, Micronesia, Game Changers).
- Aubry is the first player to make it to the finale three seasons in a row.
- The first is Cirie Fields (Panama, Micronesia, Game Changers).
- This season holds the record for most people in a finale that could possibly win the game, with 16 players still eligible to win.
- It beats the previous record of eight held by Redemption Island in which there were five active players (after Andrea won her way back into the game), plus three players on Redemption Island.
Reward Challenge – “Running Down a Dream”
- Similar versions of this challenge have been previously seen in Millennials vs. Gen X and David vs. Goliath
- This is the first time it wasn’t used in a “vs” season.
- Every time this challenge has been used it was played in a season filmed in Fiji.
- This is also the first time it was used as an individual reward challenge.
- This is the first post-merge episode where nobody that participated in the reward was voted out at the same tribal council.
Immunity Challenge – “Home Stretch”
- This challenge was previously seen in Worlds Apart, Kaoh Rong and Millennials vs. Gen X.
- Rick is the only person to win this challenge while not on a black tribe.
- Rick is the is the first person to win individual immunity three times this season.
- He’s been immune at the past four tribal councils.
- He won individual immunity in episode 10b, 11, and 13.
- He played a hidden immunity idol in episode 12.
- He’s been immune at the past four tribal councils.
- Lauren and Victoria are the only remaining players to not win individual immunity this season.
- Gavin took both of them on the reward in this episode.
- Aurora is the first person that’s won individual immunity and been voted out post-merge.
Ratings
- The thirteenth episode received 7.28 million viewers and 1.5/7 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share.
Episode Title
- The episode title “Idol or Bust” was said by Rick while he was searching for a hidden immunity idol.
