Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath.

Tribal Council

  • Dan was voted out 6-3-2.
  • There are now half the amount of people remaining in the game than there were when the season started.
  • There are now an equal amount of Goliaths remaining as there are Davids.
    • Five Goliaths and five Davids have been eliminated.
      • All five Goliaths were voted out, while only three Davids were voted out since Pat was evacuated and Bi quit.
  • Angelina has received votes at four tribal councils in a row.
    • None of the votes against her have been from the same person twice.
      • Lyrsa voted for her in episode 6
      • Elizabeth voted for her in episode 7
      • Carl and Gabby voted for her in episode 8
      • Alec and Kara voted for her in episode 9.
        • Episode 9 is the first time she’s received votes from Goliaths.
  • Dan only got votes from Davids, while Christian and Angelina only got votes from Goliaths.
  • Christian is the only “Brochacho” left in the game.
  • The last two players voted out started on Goliath and were on post-swap Tiva.
  • Nobody from post-swap Jabeni has been voted out post-merge.
  • Christian has received votes from Angelina, Dan, and Mike in the past two tribal councils.
    • This was his first episode where votes against him counted as they were negated in episode 8.
  • Alison is the third person to have her vote stolen. The others are as follows:
    • Stephen Fishbach stole Joe Anglim’s vote in Cambodia.
    • Sarah Lacina stole Tai Trang’s vote in Game Changers.
      • Stephen is the only person to split his extra vote, and the only person to vote for the person he stole the vote from.
  • Both Dan and John won the reward challenge in the episode they were eliminated in.
  • Angelina is still the only remaining Goliath to have votes cast against her.
  • Nick and Christian are the only players to have a perfect voting record so far this season.
  • There have been six Dan/Daniels to play Survivor. Three made the jury and three were voted out pre-merge.
    • Daniel Lue (The Amazon), Dan Barry (Panama), Dan Kay (Gabon) – voted out pre-merge.
    • Dan Lembo (Nicaragua), Dan Foley (Worlds Apart), Dan Rengering (David vs. Goliath) – voted out during the jury phase.

Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage

  • Nick is the seventh person to use an extra vote advantage.
    • He’s the third person to use it in a majority vote. The others are as follows:
      • Debbie Wanner used her extra vote to vote out Ozzy Lusth in Game Changers.
      • Sarah Lacina used her vote steal to vote out Michaela Bradshaw in Game Changers.
        • Nick is the only non-returning player to use his extra vote advantage in a majority vote.
  • Carl is the first person to find and successfully use the idol nullifier.
  • Dan is the first person to play an idol and have it nullified.
  • Christian is the third person to find a hidden immunity idol this season.
    • The only players to find hidden immunity idols this season have been men.
  • Davie is the only player to find a hidden immunity idol this season and not be from Florida.
    • Christian is from Tallahassee, Florida and Dan is from Gainesville, Florida.

Confessionals

  • Kara had the most confessionals this episode with 5.
  • Carl had the least amount of confessionals this episode with 0.
    • This is his second episode in a row with 0 confessionals.
  • Nick still has the most confessionals this season with 29.

Reward Challenge – “All Mixed Up”

  • Alec has won both post-merge reward challenges.
  • Davie is the only David to win the reward in this episode.

Immunity Challenge – “Roll Away the Dew”

  • The immunity challenge name is a reference to a line from the Grateful Dead song “Franklin’s Tower”.
  • A variation of this challenge has been previously used in Philippines, Cagayan, San Juan Del Sur, Millennials vs. Gen X, and Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “Breadth-First Search” was said by Christian while describing his method for searching for a hidden immunity idol.
    • This is his fourth episode title this season.

  1. While I get what you mean about the brochacos, the scene at the merge suggests the brochacos existed before the tribe swap. Alec and Dan clearly reference it, which is why I think Christian was referred to as an honorary brochaco at first.
