  1. I noticed a couple of mistakes this time. First, you say this is the second episode to air on halloween, but then mention two previous ones, which would make this the third.

Second, you mentioned that Tiva were the only players left to only attend one tribal council, but this isn’t true. Carl has only attended one tribal, due to being on exile.

  2. Some people might say Natalia is a Caucasian since her ethnic group is literally from the Caucasus mountains. I believe she was born here in the US. But both of her parents are from Jordan. But both of them are of Circassian descent. Not Arab, Turkish, Persian, Kurdish, etc. The Circassian people were killed & expelled from their homeland in the 1860’s by the Russian army. Many fled to the Ottoman empire of which the current Kingdom of Jordan was a part. But issues of identity with regards to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, culture, etc. can be difficult to assess. Especially with regards to diversity & representation on Survivor. Also I believe Gabby is 1/2 Filipino heritage. Think that makes this season (with 8 or 9; depending on how Natalia is classified) one of the most diverse. Excluding obvious examples like Cook Islands & Fiji. Both of which were 50% or less non Hispanic White Caucasian contestants. Can’t remember how Millennial vs Gen X ranked. And I’d personally put an asterisk next to any all returnee season such as Game Changers or 2nd Chances with regards to diversity. Because of the pool of potential players they have to draw from. So they get less credit & blame vis a vis racial/ethnic diversity of contestants IMHO. Always enjoy the facts & figures in your blog posts!

  3. Does this season have the least amount of pre-merge tribals? 5 is less than the first few seasons, and I can’t think of another one that had so few.

    • Australian Outback had 5 pre-merge tribals (Skupin was evacuated), One World only had 4 people voted out pre-merge, but there was the combined tribal with Salani and Malolo after Colton was evacuated.
