Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath.

Tribal Council

  • Jessica was voted out 5-4.
  • She holds the record for the latest that the first person was voted out of the game, which happened on day 6.
    • The previous record holder was Nina Acosta who was voted out on day 5 in One World after Kourtney Moon was evacuated on day 3.
    • Jessica and Nina share the distinction of being the first person voted out of a season but not be voted out in the first episode.
  • Jessica is the lowest ranking teenager to play Survivor, placing 19th. The other teenagers to play Survivor are as follows:
    • Spencer Duhm (19) – Tocantins – 12th Place
    • Julia Sokolowski (19) – Kaoh Rong – 7th Place
    • Will Wahl (18) – Millennials vs. Gen X – 8th Place
    • Michael Yerger (18) – Ghost Island – 9th Place
      • Spencer and Jessica are the only ones that were voted out pre-merge.
        • They also are both from Florida.
  • Jessica’s placement is the same as her age (19).
    • She’s the only person in Survivor history whose placement is the same as their age.
  • Jessica is the second person to be voted out first and come in 19th place. The other person coincidentally is Jessica deBen in Fiji.
  • She’s the youngest player ever to be voted out first from a season.
  • Jessica is the third person named Jessica to be the first person voted out of a season.
    • Jessica deBen in Fiji
    • Jessica “Sugar” Kiper in Heroes vs. Villains
  • This episode is the latest that the first tribal council of a season has ever occured, on day 6.
  • Jessica Lewis is the only Jessica to play Survivor and be on the jury.
    • Sugar made it to the jury phase in Gabon but was one of the final three.
    • Jessica Johnston made it to the merge in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, but didn’t make it to the jury.

Tribes

  • Every season filmed in Fiji that started with two tribes (with the exception of Millennials vs. Gen X) has had the first two immunity challenges lost by the same tribe.
    • Ravu lost the first two in Fiji
    • Mana lost the first two in Game Changers
    • Malolo lost the first two in Ghost Island
    • David lost the first two in David vs. Goliath
  • When an orange tribe was present in a season filming in Fiji, they lost the second immunity challenge.
    • Ravu lost in Fiji
    • Vanua lost in Millennials vs. Gen X
    • Malolo lost in Ghost Island
    • David lost in David vs. Goliath

Confessionals

  • Christian and Natalie had the most confessionals this episode with 5.
  • Alison and Bi had the least amount of confessionals with 0 each.
    • This is the second episode in a row where Alison and Bi had the least amount of confessionals.

Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage

  • Both people who have found idols so far this season have been men whose names start with the letter D.
    • Dan found on in episode 1, and Davie found one in episode 2.

Immunity Challenge – “Another Brick in the Wall”

  • This challenge name is based on a song by Pink Floyd.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “The Chicken Has Flown the Coop” was said by Christian when talking about the plan to vote out Jessica at tribal council.
    • Christian has had the first two episode titles this season.
