With the news that Australian Survivor is to begin filming in Queensland in the coming months, Survivor US is also looking to resume production, as members of the crew are set to arrive in Fiji in the coming days.

As first reported by FBC News, Fiji’s Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism, and Transport, Faiyaz Koya, confirmed that Survivor and other film productions have been given the green-light to film in Fiji.

Survivor will be filming in Fiji with the crew expecting to arrive in the next few days,” Koya said during a February 11 parliament meeting. “They have to stagger the way they actually come because most of the crew are sitting in different parts of the world, but all done under the guidance of the Ministry of Health. We follow the necessary protocol to protect our own citizens.”

As previously reported on Inside Survivor, cast and crew will not be allowed to board their plane without proof of a negative COVID-19 test and must enter a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival in Fiji.

Inside Survivor sources tell us that the cast for season 41 is expected to depart for Fiji in March, with filming expected to begin in April. The production team, which is comprised of people from all over the world, will start arriving in Fiji in groups over the coming days and weeks.

According to Koya, Survivor, alongside other productions approved for filming, is expected to generate around $30 million in economic activity while creating approximately 400 local jobs.

  1. The worst decision that the Americans have made, when we see that a lot of foreign productions have left Fiji.

I hope that after seasons 41 and 42, they will leave Fiji for good, they need a renewal, not only in the twist, but mainly in terms of landscape, there are still plenty of places possible. The Dominican Republic and Tahaa in Polynesia are perfect places.

    • It isnt perfect for sure. My hope is that with there being a bit of time between them filming and the previous seasons that the trails, beaches, camps will all bit a bit more over-grown/less kept. It’ll be good if it is harder to identify the same landmarks. 100% no where near as good as a new location, but if that’s the price we pay for keeping Survivor I’m OK with it.

Now we play the timing game for S43 casting & video submissions! Year 8 for applying here. Good luck everyone! Anyone got Jeff’s #?

    • Fiji is a good place for shooting with friendly and smiling faces. Although the lifestyle and development is a long way off from developed countries like the US and Europe including Australia and other countries. It’s still have some really cool places and lovely culture .

    • Agreed. Survivor is much more interesting when they find new places to film and actually use the location when figuring out a theme. I hope they visit countries like Vietnam, India or Peru for upcoming seasons.

  2. I am glad to see/hear they are going to be filming “soon”. But weren’t they planning on starting filming in April? It seems like 1 person’s idea of “soon” is different than another’s. When I saw the headline I was hoping you’d say they would be filming soonER then previously announced.

      • Like I said, “1 person’s idea of ‘soon’ is different than another’s”. I don’t know why you have to nitpick & judge every single thing I say just because you don’t like/agree (with) it.
You think I’m crazy but what do you think you’re content attacks says about you? I’m just saying….

          • I’m not sure if that is a compliment or an insult….but considering it’s coming from you it has to be an insult. Somehow I’m not offended though because I’ve come to expect nothing less from you….

  3. Will he time they are playing be considered part of he 14-day quarantine? Or do the players have to arrive, quarantine for 14 days in a hotel room then they start the game?

    • Hey Sairusi, unfortunately we are not affiliated with Survivor or CBS. We are just a fan website for the show. Good luck!

  4. Hey! Does anyone know when we should submit our audition tape for Season 43? Like what months are they going through the process of casting people? With covid going on I know everything’s a little different this year. Also, they haven’t got around to updating the CBS website, so that’s why I’m wondering.
    Thanks 🙂

  5. Hey Martin, do you know more about if anyone from the Survivor crew is in Fiji now? I saw that the casting director is still in LA but I guess he wouldn’t be there that soon.

Just excited for things to start 🙂

  6. If they are TRULY going to be “filming soon”, when are they going to reveal the theme/season (which they usually do at the finale of the previous season)? I won’t believe Survivor is coming back unless/until they reveal details of the (next) season….
