The cast of Survivor 50 will be officially revealed on CBS Mornings on Wednesday, May 28, just before they depart for Fiji later that day. In the lead-up to this milestone season, the Survivor community has been abuzz with rumors and speculation about which familiar faces will return to compete.
Today, Inside Survivor is breaking down the cast expected to be announced tomorrow, plus two Survivor 49 castaways who may or may not be part of the reveal. The final cast size is still unknown, and it’s possible two or more of these players could be alternates. The rumored line-up was first shared by long-time Survivor spoiler source, SurvivorsUnite.
Check out our breakdown below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
JENNA LEWIS DOUGHERTY
Seasons: Borneo, All-Stars
Age: 47
Last Played: 2004
The earliest representative on the cast, Jenna first played in Survivor’s inaugural season all the way back in 2000. When Borneo aired, she was a 22-year-old college student and mother of twin daughters, and her youthful exuberance showed, with her enthusiastic chattiness sometimes grating on her fellow tribemates. Her most memorable moment came when her family video didn’t arrive in time for the Day 23 reward challenge, leaving her distraught. Like most people in that season, Jenna took too long to adapt to the strategic aspect of the game and became a victim of the Tagi 4 alliance, finishing in 8th place.
Jenna returned to the show four years later for All-Stars and made it her mission to vote out the former winners, which she succeeded at. She formed a close alliance with Rupert Boneham, and together, they linked up with Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich at the swap. Jenna remained loyal to Rob and Amber for the rest of the game and even voted against Rupert at the final four to avoid a tie-breaker. Unfortunately for her, Rob won the final immunity challenge and voted her out in 3rd place.
COLBY DONALDSON
Seasons: Australian Outback, All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains
Age: 51
Last Played: 2010
Colby was the all-American hero when he first appeared on Survivor back in 2001. His time in the Australian Outback was marked by his rivalry with fellow tribemate Jerri Manthy (a feud that carried through each of his three seasons), his immunity challenge dominance, and his crucial endgame decision that cost him the game when he chose to bring Tina Wesson with him to the Final 2.
Returning for All-Stars in 2004, Colby had a grittier edge, not wanting to trust easily. However, his game never truly got going, and he ended up being voted out by his nemesis Jerri in 12th place. Remarkably, the relationship between Colby and Jerri softened when both returned for Heroes vs. Villains in 2010. As part of the Heroes tribe, Colby lacked the edge of his previous appearances, with poor challenge performances and a heart seemingly not in the game. Despite his lack of control, Colby was the last Hero voted out that season, finishing in 5th place.
STEPHENIE LAGROSSA KENDRICK
Seasons: Palau, Guatemala, Heroes vs. Villains
Age: 45
Last Played: 2010
Stephenie’s Survivor journey had an inauspicious as part of the cursed Ulong tribe on Palau, the losingest tribe in the show’s history. Unable to win a challenge to save their lives, the Ulong tribe was whittled down to one surviving member, Stephenie, who defeated tribemate Bobby-Jon Drinkard in a tense fire-making challenge to earn her spot in the merge. Despite this run of bad luck and finishing in 7th place, Stephenie became a huge fan favorite for her never-give-up attitude and determination.
This popularity led to Stephenie returning the next season in Guatemala alongside her former Ulong tribemate, Bobby-Jon. Things were very different this time, though, as Stephenie formed a strong alliance that dominated the season. This took her all the way to the Final 2; however, her betrayals and perceived arrogance led her to lose the jury vote 6-1. Her bad luck continued when she returned to Heroes vs. Villains, dislocating her shoulder in the very first challenge, being dubbed a tribe curse by James Clement and voted out in 19th place.
CIRIE FIELDS
Seasons: Panama, Micronesia, Heroes vs. Villains, Game Changers
Age: 54
Last Played: 2017
As an icon of the franchise, Cirie’s Survivor run is well-documented. She was the mom who “got off the couch” in Panama, entirely out of her element in the wild. Yet, she became one of the most socially adept and strategic players in the show’s history, making it to 4th place in Panama and 3rd place in Micronesia, where she cemented her legend.
Cirie’s reputation as one of the best players never to win made her a massive target in Heroes vs. Villains. Even then, her early exit in 17th place only came about due to J.T. Thomas’ double-dealing and a crafty idol play from Tom Westman. Returning in 2017 for Game Changers, Cirie proved once again she was a force to be reckoned with, making it to 6th place and only leaving due to a technicality caused by the controversial “Advantageddon.”
OZZY LUSTH
Seasons: Cook Islands, Micronesia, South Pacific, Game Changers
Age: 43
Last Played: 2017
Ozzy built his reputation in Cook Islands as part of the iconic Aitu 4 underdog alliance, finishing as runner-up and becoming a fan favorite for being an impressive challenge performer and provider. Those elements remained a core part of Ozzy’s game in Micronesia, though he tried to establish a more strategic hold over the game. However, his control early on led to a cockiness that saw him blindsided in 9th place with an idol in his pocket.
South Pacific marked Ozzy’s most creative season. He used the Redemption Island format to his advantage, asking to be voted out in hopes of winning his way back in and pulling a ruse on the opposing tribe. While he won his way back in, his acting skills left a lot to be desired, and the plan failed when John Cochran flipped. Ozzy won his way back in again, only to be voted out in 4th place, one day short of the Final Tribal Council. His return in Game Changers was unmemorable. He leaned into the camp provider role and formed bonds early on, but as soon as the merge hit, he became a target and was voted out in 12th place.
BENJAMIN “COACH” WADE
Seasons: Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains, South Pacific
Age: 53
Last Played: 2011
Coach arrived on the scene in 2009 and quickly became one of Survivor’s most memorable characters. With his larger-than-life stories, “Dragon Slayer” moniker, and legendary stint on Exile, Coach established himself as one of the show’s most unique personalities. Despite often being mocked for his anecdotes and “iron-sharpens-iron” gameplay, Coach made it to 5th place on Tocantins. While his reputation earned him a spot on the Villains tribe in 2010, it also came too soon for Coach to learn from his previous mistakes, and he was booted in 12th place.
Returning alongside Ozzy for South Pacific in 2011, Coach entered the game with a new attitude and different strategic approach. He tamed a lot of his idiosyncrasies and focused instead on forming tight bonds with his fellow tribemates, which allowed him control of the numbers in an almost- cult-like fashion for the majority of the game, even being able to swing Cochran over to his side at the merge. However, he lost to Sophie Clarke 6-3 at the Final Tribal Council for not fully owning his moves.
AUBRY BRACCO
Seasons: Kaôh Rōng, Game Changers, Edge of Extinction
Age: 39
Last Played: 2019
Aubry’s Survivor journey didn’t get off to a hot start in Kaôh Rōng, as she suffered a panic attack early on and doubted her place in the game. However, she eventually found her footing, becoming a fierce strategic force who controlled many of the votes. Despite making it to the Final Tribal Council as a great strategist, Aubry lost to Michele Fitzgerald after several jurors criticized her lack of social game.
Her subsequent returns never matched the peak of her first season. She struggled to find her footing in Game Changers, ending up on the bottom twice in the pre-merge only to be spared by a tribe switch. After making it to the merge, Aubry focused on her social game, which allowed her to fly under-the-radar until she was voted out in 5th place. Despite the less flashy game in Game Changers, Aubry entered Edge of Extinction with the reputation of a big strategic threat and could not gain momentum. Even though she found an idol, her tribemates hoodwinked her into not playing it, and she was voted out in 16th place.
CHRISSY HOFBECK
Season: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers
Age: 54
Last Played: 2017
Chrissy started as an outsider in the original Levu tribe but avoided becoming the dreaded first boot. From there, she upped her social and strategic game, forming a tight bond with Ben Driebergen and forging a tight alliance with Yawa member Ryan Ulrich, who had gifted her a Super Idol on Day 1. Following a tribe switch, she cemented her alliance with Ryan and tightened her relationship with JP Hilsabeck. This trio joined forces with the original Levus and Yawas to target the OG Soko members at the merge. At this point, things looked great for Chrissy, who stood firmly in the controlling alliance and had ties to different sub-alliances within the larger majority.
However, things took a turn after members of the alliance flipped and blindsided JP. This essentially severed Chrissy’s relationship with Ben and put her at the bottom of the tribe. Yet, she secured her safety by winning a crucial immunity challenge (she’d go on to tie the record for most immunity wins by a woman). All Chrissy had to do to win was make sure Ben didn’t win immunity at the final four, and she did just that. Yet, an unannounced fire-making twist changed everything, gifting Ben a win and dropping Chrissy into the runner-up position. (originally written by Martin Holmes as part of our 50 For 50 feature).
MIKE WHITE
Season: David vs. Goliath
Age: 54
Last Played: 2018
The only Primetime Emmy winner on the cast, Mike White is best known as the creator of HBO’s The White Lotus and Enlightened, as well as writing the hit Jack Black movie School of Rock. However, he’s also a huge Survivor fan and competed on David vs. Goliath, where he finished as runner-up.
His game started low-key, focusing on his social relationships and showing himself to be amiable and adaptable. He turned things up later in the game, showing a more aggressive side, cementing a strong three-person alliance with Nick Wilson and Angelina Keeley, and orchestrating several blindsides, most notably against Christian Hubicki. Mike also beat Kara Kay in the fire-making challenge to earn his spot at the Final Tribal Council. While Mike had a strong case, the jury ultimately awarded the win to Nick, whose “David” story was more appealing.
ANGELINA KEELEY
Season: David vs. Goliath
Age: 35
Last Played: 2018
Placed on the Goliath tribe to start the game, Angelina was a clear power player from the get-go who was conscious and vocal about the challenges women face when playing Survivor. It wasn’t until she swapped to the Jabeni tribe that we saw Angelina’s full potential as a Survivor character. At the swap tribe’s first Tribal Council, Angelina asked the question that would catapult her to Survivor stardom: “Natalie, can I have your jacket?” Angelina didn’t ever get that jacket, but a star was certainly born that night.
Angelina was all gas, no brakes from the moment Jacketgate happened. There was at least one hilarious Angelina moment in every episode: leaking the Elizabeth Olson vote and having it blow up in her face, begging Dan Rengering to play his idol on her, flipping on her alliance to join the Davids, giving up immunity for rice, and crafting a bizarre and ill-advised plan to trick her former ally Alison Raybould into playing a fake idol. And who could forget her historic ladder climb to find an idol in the finale while a wine-drunk Mike White looked on? Despite all the chaos she was involved in, Angelina made it to the Final 3, but her unique but ultimately very messy gameplay didn’t earn her a single vote. (originally written by Christine Pallon as part of our 50 For 50 feature).
CHRISTIAN HUBICKI
Season: David vs. Goliath
Age: 39
Last Played: 2018
From the moment he mastered the puzzle at the marooning and went into a thorough, detailed explanation in confessional, viewers knew Christian was one to watch. He wore his nerd badge proudly and had no trouble making friends, quickly bonding with Gabby Pascuzzi and Nick. He found a way to connect with people no matter their background or life experience. He could nerd out with Gabby but just as easily bro-down with The Mayor of Slamtown and the Brochachos alliance.
At the merge, it soon became clear how big of a threat Christian was, especially after he rambled his way to an impressive endurance immunity challenge win. But he’d made such strong bonds with his fellow Davids that when he did come under attack, Davie Rickenbacker chose to play his idol to save Christian. He’d later find an idol of his own and used it to defend himself against a blindside from his closest ally, Gabby. Ultimately, Christian’s threat level caught up with him and he was eliminated in 7th place. (originally written by Martin Holmes as part of our 50 For 50 feature).
RICK DEVENS
Season: Edge of Extinction
Age: 41
Last Played: 2019
Despite an early exit, Devens became one of the biggest characters on Survivor in recent years. He started the game on the Manu tribe, aligning with David Wright and forming a connection with the majority alliance. However, after an unfortunate tribe swap, Rick found himself outnumbered and voted out. That wasn’t the end of Rick’s Survivor journey, though, as he battled back from the Edge of Extinction, where he vowed to play more aggressively at the merge.
Devens was viewed as a massive threat but staved off elimination with four immunity wins and clutch idol plays. He ultimately made it to the final four, where he’d be forced to face off in a fire-making challenge against fellow EOE returner Chris Underwood. After a tense showdown, Chris won the challenge, sending Devens to the jury just one day short of the Final Tribal Council.
JONATHAN YOUNG
Season: Survivor 42
Age: 32
Last Played: 2022
Moving onto the New Era players, Jonathan made his mark on Survivor 42 as a challenge beast, at one point dragging his struggling tribemates out of the water. He established himself as a core member of the Taku Four alliance in the pre-merge, using his position as a challenge asset and camp provider to keep him in his tribe’s good graces. However, his relationship with his original tribemates frayed at the merge when he was deemed condescending and unwilling to listen.
Even though his original alliance fell apart, Jonathan made a deep run by forming strong bonds with other tribe members, most notably Mike Turner, who professed a similar “strong and loyal” approach to the game as Jonathan. This allowed Jonathan to make it to the final four despite being a massive physical threat. However, he ultimately lost the fire-making challenge to Mike and became the final member of the jury.
EMILY FLIPPEN
Season: Survivor 45
Age: 30
Last Played: 2023
Emily made her presence known as soon as the game started, calling out returning player Bruce Perreault at the marooning. She continued to get herself into trouble on the disastrous Lulu tribe, with her abrasive personality rubbing her tribemates the wrong way. However, with some guidance from fellow tribemate Kaleb Gebrewold, Emily learned to adapt and took control of the majority on Lulu.
At the merge, Emily continued to evolve her social game, forming new bonds and ingratiating herself with the Reba Four alliance. While this allowed her to make a fairly deep run, Emily became collateral damage of a Reba Four inner war. She grew close to Austin Li Coon and Drew Basile, who wanted to bring her aboard a plan to vote out Julie Alley. But when Dee Valladares caught wind of the plot, she instructed Julie to play her idol and vote for Emily, sending her to the jury in 7th place.
DEE VALLADARES
Season: Survivor 45
Age: 28
Last Played: 2023
One of only two winners rumored for the cast, Dee played one of the most dominant winning games of the New Era. She had an easy-going, personable approach that allowed her to make friends and allies quickly, leading to the formation of the Reba Four alliance that exercised control over the majority of the season. With a flirtmance with Austin and a ride-or-die partnership with Julie, Dee had options on top of options the further she made it into the game.
Despite her threat level, Dee’s vice-like grip on the game made it difficult for anyone to mount an attack against her. Even when the Reba Four eventually turned against one another, Dee used her cunning to help save Julie and cut off Austin and Drew’s ties to Emily. After winning the final immunity challenge, Dee secured her spot at the Final Tribal Council, where she was rewarded with the title of Sole Survivor with five votes.
Q BURDETTE
Season: Survivor 46
Age: 31
Last Played: 2024
Starting on the disastrous Yanu tribe, Q aligned himself with Tiffany Ervin and Kenzie Petty, though his distrust in the latter led to many contentious moments between the trio. From early on, Q was trying to plot ways to vote Kenzie out but could never gain the traction needed. This made for some tense and hilarious exchanges between the trio as they struggled to get on the same page at the merge, where Q formed his “Journey 6” alliance. This alliance voted together at just one tribal council before the wheels fell off.
Q’s post-merge game was a mix of comical antics, like his introduction of the “Q-Skirt” and playing Hide n Seek, as well as baffling game decisions. After trying and failing to turn the vote on his ally Tiffany, Q announced at tribal council that his tribemates should vote him out, setting off a wild scramble before the vote. This would turn Q into the tribe’s pariah, with his decision not to take Liz Wilcox on a reward only adding fuel to the fire. Yet he kept scraping through, being used as a smokescreen by the others to blindside players with idols in their pockets. Q would ultimately meet that same fate, leaving the game with an idol in his pocket after Charlie Davis rallied the troops against him at the final six. (originally written by Martin Holmes as part of our 50 For 50 feature).
CHARLIE DAVIS
Season: Survivor 46
Age: 27
Last Played: 2024
Self-confessed Swiftie and Survivor superfan Charlie made an impressive run on Survivor 46 that many fans thought was deserving of the win. He formed a partnership with tribemate Maria Shrime Gonzalez early on, which allowed them to control the Siga tribe and put them in a great position as needed votes at the merge. Even though Charlie went rogue and voted for Venus at the first merge vote, this “mistake” ended up in his favor as Q brought him aboard the Journey Six alliance.
At the merge, Charlie operated from the sidelines as the Journey Six alliance fell apart, using his various relationships to help orchestrate several blindsides, with each person eliminated with an idol in their pocket. As it got down to the final six, Charlie and Maria realized they needed a way to differentiate their games. Maria joined Q in an attempt to blindside Charlie, but he was one step ahead, voting Q out instead and then Maria at the next tribal. Despite a strategically impressive game, Charlie lost in a 5-3-0 vote at the Final Tribal Council to Kenzie Petty.
TIFFANY NICOLE ERVIN
Season: Survivor 46
Age: 34
Last Played: 2024
Tiffany was another member of the cursed Yanu tribe on Survivor 46 alongside Q. The tribe was full of inner conflicts and poor challenge performances, leading to them being whittled down to just three members: Tiffany, Kenzie, and Q. Tiffany often found herself in the middle of Kenzie and Q’s squabbles, trying to play peacemaker and figure out a way for them to work together, which was easier said than done.
She entered the merge with an idol in her ammunition and was seemingly in a solid position until Q decided to blow up her game. In a chaotic tribal council, Q confessed to attempting a move on Tiffany before going back on it and asking the rest of the tribe to vote him out instead. While Tiffany survived that tribal, her idol was exposed, and she was blindsided at the next tribal while falsely believing everyone was voting out Q.
GENEVIEVE MUSHALUK
Season: Survivor 47
Age: 33
Last Played: 2024
With only three confessionals in the first three episodes, Genevieve seemed poised to be in a supporting role. That was, of course, until her breakout in episode four, when she leveraged her relationships with Lavo tribemates Sol Yi and Rome Cooney to force the two rivals into an unlikely truce and blindside Kishan Patel. She quickly went from a supporting character to a main character, and leading up to the merge, she continued her delicate balancing act of maintaining her close game and personal relationships with Sol, Teeny Chirichillo, and Rome.
Genevieve’s game took a downturn at the Final 10 when she orchestrated a blindside against Sol. It was an impressive show of her abilities, but it brought her game out of the shadows and put a massive target on her back. She was fighting for her life from then on and struggled to balance her strategic decisions with her personal relationships, although she was part of the impressive Operation Italy ruse at the Final 7. After Rachel LaMont won the Final 5 immunity, Genevieve made some last-minute hail-mary plays to save herself, but Sam revealed that her idol was fake, sealing her fate as the seventh juror. (originally written by Christine Pallon as part of our 50 For 50 feature).
JOE HUNTER
Season: Survivor 48
Age: 45
Last Played: 2025
Joe came into Survivor 48 hoping to play a game built on “honor” and “integrity,” an approach that rarely meshes well on Survivor. He formed a strong bond with Eva Erickson early on after she opened up to him about her Autism, leading to perhaps the most memorable moment of the season when Joe comforted Eva after a post-swap immunity challenge.
Joe linked back up with Eva at the merge, along with Shauhin Davari, and soon formed an alliance with David Kinne and Kyle Fraser built on mutual “honor and integrity.” This alliance took control of the game, but there were speedbumps along the way, like the group turning on David after he tried targeting Kamilla Karthigesu. As the game went on, Joe and Eva continued to be a strong duo, but Kyle and Kamilla were the ones running the show, even convincing Joe to turn on Shauhin at the final six. Despite making it to the Final Tribal Council, Joe only received one jury vote.
KYLE FRASER
Season: Survivor 48
Age: 31
Last Played: 2025
The second winner in the mix, Kyle, started the game on the back foot after losing the tribe supplies challenge. But he didn’t face any flack for his blunder, as his social game quickly ingratiated him to his tribemates, and he found himself in the majority alliance. After a tribe swap put him and his original tribemate Kamilla on the outs, the pair put on their acting skills, fooling their fellow castaways into thinking they weren’t close. This ruse allowed them to pull off a blindside of Thomas Krottinger.
Kyle and Kamilla kept their alliance on the down-low at the merge, keeping a distance and only meeting up to share intel. As part of the majority, Kyle was able to use his influence to keep Kamilla safe while Kamilla filled Kyle in on any potential uprisings from the underdogs. They pulled off blindsides on David and Shauhin while pulling the wool over Joe and Eva’s eyes. However, both realized they couldn’t sit next to each other at the end, and after Kyle won the final immunity, he sent Kamilla to fire, where she lost against Eva. Meanwhile, Kyle went on to win the title of Sole Survivor.
KAMILLA KARTHIGESU
Season: Survivor 48
Age: 31
Last Played: 2025
Kamilla came into Survivor 48 wanting to play a bold and brash game, but the cast she ended up with wasn’t about big moves and backstabbing. Fortunately, Kamilla knew how to adapt, adjusting her gameplay to fit the season’s vibe. She formed a strong connection with Kyle early on and grouped up to create the majority of her tribe. As mentioned above, Kamilla and Kyle pulled off an expert acting job and blindside on Thomas at the swap while somehow still keeping their tightness a secret.
At the merge, Kamilla wasn’t brought into the “honour and integrity” alliance as an official member, but she was kept in the loop through her undercover duo with Kyle. This allowed her to stave off attacks from the likes of David, keeping her in the game long enough to find her footing, even winning immunity challenges along the way. As the numbers dwindled, she and Kyle pulled off another ruse on Joe and Eva, blindsiding Shauhin at the final six. Unfortunately for Kamilla, she knew that she and Kyle couldn’t go to the end together. Kyle won the final immunity and sent Kamilla to fire, where she was unable to get a flame to catch and became the final member of the jury.
RIZO VELOVIC & SAVANNAH LOUIE
Season: Survivor 49
Age: 25 and 31
Last Played: 2025
Then we have our two unknown quantities, Rizo and Savannah, who haven’t even been officially revealed as Survivor 49 cast members (you can check out our full cast reveal here), though the “Rizgod” certainly made an impression in the season preview. We have no idea what kind of games they played or where they finished, but they obviously stood out enough to be invited straight back.

Uhhgg!!! A terrible cast, IMO.
I was so hoping to see players like Sean Rector, Rob Cesternino, Kelly Goldsmith, Natalie Bolton, Greg Buis, Twila Tanner, Kenny Hoang, Jay Starrett, Ian Rosenberger, Heidi Strobel…
Jenna Lewis a huge let-down for “old-school.” From her season alone I would have preferred Colleen, Gretchen, Sue or Kelly Wigglesworth.
So sick of Coach, Ozzy, Cirie and Stephenie. Hope they are the first four out.
And the choices of “new age” are boggling.
The only two people I am rooting for are Genevieve and Chrissy.
Terrible cast for Survivor 50.
Way, WAY too many people from the 40s.
I’m thrilled that Queen Cirie is back and I don’t care what the haters say! GO season 50!
Sadly, not a lot of these players really get me excited. I think I’m all about Christian and otherwise it’ll be like watching 2 teams I don’t care about play a sport I love. So we’ll see what happens.
omg. this is going to be so exciting. Very happy at the thought of Colby, Aubry and unforgettable legend Tiffany Nicole playing together in Jeff’s new dAngErOUs game.
jk, this is utterly horrible lol.
This made me lol
Survivors 50 go rick devins
The Players From Seasons 47,48,49 SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY AGAIN SO SOON…. *THATS UNFAIR WHEN MORE DESERVING PAST CONTESTANTS LIKE JERRI MANTHEY, RUPERT BONEHAM , KELLY WIGGLESWORTH, COLLEEN HASKELL , AMANDA KIMMELL , ROB CESSTERNINO , GERVISS PETERSON , SHOULD BE COMING BACK * AND MOST OF ALL CIRIE FIELDS DOESN’T DESERVE ANOTHER SHOT 2 PLAY SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK OF HER*
Literally every single full returnee season, except for Winners at War, has had someone on the season who competed on the season immediately prior. All-Stars had Rupert from Pearl Islands, Guatemala (not a returnee season but my point stands) had Bobby Jon and Stephenie return immediately from Palau, Micronesia had James AND Amanda from China, Heroes vs Villains had Russell from Samoa, Caramoan had Malcolm from Philippines, Cambodia had several people from Worlds Apart on the ballot, and Game Changers had Zeke and Michaela back. It’s far from unprecedented.
Let’s look at the people you mentioned. Jerri has played three times, Rupert has played four times (same as Cirie, who you very clearly don’t want on here), Kelly has played twice, Colleen wants nothing to do with Survivor anymore, Amanda has played three times, Rob has played twice, and Gervase has played twice. What makes them more deserving than players who haven’t had the chance to come back before?
I disagree these people had great game play, and I think that most people including myself might be over seeing the same people try again and again it makes it more special to even get a chance unlike THE CHALLENGE. The people they chose from old seasons in my opinion are over played imo cerie is great but she has played like 3 times and BB maybe Shane from her season would be more of a shake up but still nostalgic.
Wtf is this, they couldn’t take Richard Hatch because he was walking naked on the beach and it’s a family show, Ozzy is doing serious p*rn now and that’s fine for them…i really hoped I would never see him again.
Ozzy did some show produced by Playboy before he was ever on Survivor. It’s not because of him walking around naked that Richard isn’t welcome back, it’s the incident that happened with Sue in All-Stars, and everything that happened with Dan Spilo in IoI.
Well playboy was nothing compared to what he’s doing now…
Considering what was on that show? No, it’s really nothing different than what he’s doing now. You prudes need to lighten up, it’s not like he killed someone.
Aubry Bracco (Kaoh Rong) – Please no. I never liked her and she was boring the second 2 times
Q Burdette (Survivor 46), – I Figured
Charlie Davis (Survivor 46) – Yes please, I loved him on his season
Rick Devens (Edge of Extinction) – not a fan but i get it
Colby Donaldson (The Australian Outback) – Seriously? I like him but surprised. Redemption for HvV?
Tiffany Nicole Ervin (Survivor 46), – ok
Cirie Fields (Panama) – please not again
Emily Flippen (Survivor 45) – YES
Kyle Kraser (Survivor 48) – pass he won
Chrissy Hofbeck (Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers) – Don’t like her but i know others do
Christian Hubicki (David vs. Goliath) – Figured hed be back, don’t think he’ll do as well
Joe Hunter (Survivor 48) – yes
Kamilla Karthigesu (Survivor 48) – yes
Angelina Keeley (David vs. Goliath) – Why? For comedy? If no one has a jacket she has nothing
Stephenie LaGrossa (Palau) – been a while shell have to play different
Jenna Lewis (Borneo)- This has got to be fake right? Or is she to represent season 1?
Ozzy Lusth (Cook Islands) – i like him but going for 5? I don’t want his legacy getting ruined
Genevieve Mushaluk (Survivor 47) – yes
Dee Valladares (Survivor 45) – pass
Coach Wade (Tocantins) – i like him but i think 3 is enough
Mike White (David vs. Goliath) – no thanks
Jonathan Young (Survivor 42) – yes
Can’t judge the new ones but I found Rizzo annoying in the previews.
I doubt the cast is 24 people so I think 4 or 6 will be cut. Hoping they are Cirie, Kyle, Dee, Mike. And if 2 more then Angelina and Ozzy. Even though I hope some that aren’t listed make it.
I’ll be honest, this seriously killed my excitement for the season. Too many 3-5 time players, and I say that with Cirie being my favorite player of all time. Also a bunch of new returnees that I couldn’t stand on their first time out. I guess I’m rooting for Christian or Emily.
Yay joe is coming back!
Totally agree with you! Tired of seeing same old people keep coming back. Would love to see Kelly back!
OMG Ozzy is back and Coach can’t wait to watch season 50 it’s going to be great
this is such a D cast…not even D+….. who the heck is casting.
SO MANY WASTED SPOTS
Mike White is SUCH a waste…he does NOT need the money and there’s ZERO chance of him winning so why even waste it…oh a dumb PR move that’s why.
Winners also should not be allowed to compete again.
And 48-49 are really a waste of space, I can understand MAYBE one or two (max) but that’s alot.
Ozzy and Circie I get are part of Survivor history but damn….give it up.
This is a very big disappointment from someone who has been obsessed with survivor since I was 11 and currently 33.
I actually think Mike has a scary good chance. Given how all-star seasons usually go, it tends to be a relative nobody who wins, and I think Mike fits the bill pretty well. No one’s going to come after him anytime soon, so he’s got a pretty easy path to the merge, and probably even close to the finale. I doubt anyone will be talking about him until near the end of the game, and even then he’s unlikely to be the biggest threat but in prime position to pip someone at the post last-minute.
My official prediction is a Mike/Angelina/Jonathan final 3 with Mike taking it home.
Why does Uncle Jeffrey Probst hate us so much?
So, I realize this is a game show – and now a cheaply produced one at that. So, I’m going to do my one screaming into a void here – and then move on. Because one, I know it comes from a place of envy that I’ve never been able to play – and a place of passion, because I love this show and this game – and will still watch. But, I definitely miss the original seasons.
This cast is SUCH a fumble.
First off, why is it Jeff’s favorites? Why are we being asked to watch Colby, Cirie, Coach and Ozzy play again? In a Legends season – how legendary can they truly be if they have never won? Cirie has moved so far from her origin story in Panama. A get off the couch player has evolved into “doing reality TV as a living.” And with this group – the majority of them have all played together numerous times. You can already tell that Probst and the producers are going to meddle as much as possible to get them as close to the end as possible.
To say “no winners”, and then to pick DEE of all people? and Kyle? When we could’ve had Todd? Earl? Vecepia? (I know they all have real lives outside of Survivor that may have precluded them) – but to end up with Dee, one of the most underwhelming new era winners? and Kyle so fresh off his win? Again – cannon fodder to protect the repeat players.
Then, the idea that rather pick strong players and give them a second chance – a majority of this cast is clearly there so the producers and editors can manipulate their story lines regarding past conflict –
Joe – Kyle – Kamilla. The amount of confessionals we are going to get about Kyle and Kamilla’s secret relationship and Joe losing to Kyle is already making me roll my eyes.
Q and Tiffany. I’m sorry, in no Survivor universe would Tiffany be considered a legend. They clearly brought her in given their past relationship and drama, so we are going to be subject to THAT ad nauseam. At least it isn’t Bhanu. Throw in the fact they played with Charlie, there’s going to be so much about that previous relationship.
Also, speaking of random – what is Probst’s hard on for Jonathan? Short of just being a strong bro (which we know Jeff has a hard on for), his Survivor story is unremarkable at best.
Happy to see Angelina and Christian – but it was clear Mike White called up Jeff and pulled in a favor.
Also thrilled to see Chrissy, a robbed queen. I know I’m in the minority here, but I hate Rick Devens and his adoration by fans is all due to producers realizing they bungled the Edge twist – and when Underwood won – they decided to make him the golden child.
I know we all got excited that this would be a potential for Second Chance – and we flew too close to the sun.
No Sean Rector? No Jesse Lopez? Jenna Lewis is who they got from the 1st season? There’s a whole list of people I’d rather see play for a 2nd or 3rd time, rather than see the same olds coming back.
But you know immediately once Jeff decided he wanted Cirie back (which mind you, advantagegeddon – his producer’s decision – is what led to her last exit) – he decided it was time to go back and pull some of these repeat players out.
Also, another sign they are paving the way to a super returner to win is if they put the OGs on a tribe of their own (thus a chance one or more goes home pre merge), or if they mix it up.
Survivor haters – Maybe the ones you’d rather have back didn’t care to participate.
I made a suggestion to Survivor to do a season (would take 2) with all those that were voted off first. Some who were deserving, but several who were not. A season of redemption. But I guess they weren’t interested.
I’m just glad Survivor is still on. Go Jeff!!!!
Ugh to Colby, Ozzy and Stephanie. They’ve had enough times.
Ugh to Genevieve, Angelina, Q and Emily.
No to Kyle – he just won.
Yay to Mike, Christian, Charlie, Dee, Kamilla and Joe!
I just barfed.
so many from the catastrophic “new era” seasons.
Only Cirie as legend.
And more than that, Joe the worst from S48, who made it soooo boring, and 2 from 49, so we know that they’ll do some stuff in the S49
I’m pretty sure the only reason Jonathan Young is back is so he can be put on a tribe with Cirie to help her make the merge. They will also probably try to hype up the old school challenge beast in Ozzy vs the new era challenge threat in Jonathan.
Okay, I’m also not 100% happy with this cast, but I’m happy with Aubry, Genevieve, Chrissy, and Kamilla, and most of the rest of the cast is somewhat decent. I’m not really sure why they felt like putting Stephenie, Angelina, Charlie, and Ozzy on the cast would make the season better, but hey, they can’t make everyone happy.
Interested in your thoughts…
To me, this looks like casting was aiming for an era v era feel. 12 cast members from pre-WaW, and 12 from post-WaW (aka new era).
Maybe this is the “new direction” they were referring to when they cut (I think it was) Rob C?
Some of the “legends” have too broad a development to fit into an “archetype” from each era??
Here’s how I see the casting breaking down when you look at it era v era and by archetype:
“Secret assassin who didn’t expect to do well”:
Cirie v Kamila
“Emotional young woman who really wants it”:
Jenna v Tiff
“Awkward Strategist”:
Aubry v Emily
“Aggressive woman who dominates strategy”:
Chrissy v Dee
“Floundering strategist who plays game alone”:
Angelina v Genevieve
“Female physical powerhouse”:
Steph v S49?
“American Hero”:
Colby v Joe
“Male physical powerhouse”:
Ozzy v Jonathan
“Brainy Geek”:
Christian v Charlie
“Quirky but with strategic potential”:
Coach v Q
“Insightful male narrator”:
Devens v Kyle
“Sarcastic comedy relief?”:
Mike v S49
We all know Probst LOVES his “match-ups” and face-offs…. I can TOTALLY hear him saying:
“Ozzy vs Jonathan for reward! Old school dominating challenge beast vs the new era challenge beast for the win!”
What are your thoughts???
