Cast/Season

  • This is the first US season to have 24 players on a cast.
    • Previously, the highest number of players in a season was 20.
  • This is the 6th season with all returning players
    • All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains, Cambodia, Game Changers, & Winners at War are the others.
      • Cambodia is the only all-returning player season that didn’t feature any returning winners.
  • This is the first returning player season to only last 26 days.
  • This is the 2nd returning player season where the cast was announced before the season filmed, after Cambodia
  • This is the first season since to not follow the diversity initiative (in which half the cast are to be BIPOC players).
    • 10/24 players are BIPOC, which is only 42% of the cast.
  • Winners at War has the highest placement average for an all-returning player cast:
    • All Stars: 4.72
    • Heroes vs Villains: 4.50
    • Cambodia: 6.60

  • Kalo’s tribe emblem is a moon.
  • Kalo is the first tribe since Espada to have 3 players over the age of 50.
  • Kalo is the 27th blue starting tribe and the 33rd blue tribe overall on Survivor.
    • Blue is the most used tribe color and starting tribe color on Survivor.
  • Fiji, Millennials vs. Gen X, Ghost Island, Survivor 44, & Survivor 46 are the only Fiji-set seasons without a blue tribe.
    • There’s been a blue tribe on every season since Survivor 47.
