Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor-related statistics and information based on the latest episode of Survivor 50.

Season

  • In the Hands of the Fans is the first season since Survivor 42 to have players from 3 different starting tribes make up the final 3, and the third season overall where this happened.
    • The other time was Worlds Apart.
  • None of the new era seasons have had a final tribal council that consisted of members from only one starting tribe.
  • Survivor 47, 48 & Survivor 43 are the only new era seasons where the runner-up and 3rd place were of different genders.

  • Rupert and Cirie are the only 4+ time players who have never made it to final tribal council.

    • Dee was a winner on her first season, and voted for Aubry, the winner of this season.
  • Coach has been a juror 3 times and has only voted for the winner of the season once (JT on Tocantins)
  • Cirie has correctly voted for the winner every time she was on the jury.

Immunity Challenge #1 – “The Obstacle Course”

  • Variations of this challenge have been used in Borneo, The Australian Outback, Africa, Thailand, Pearl Islands, All-Stars, One World, Philippines, Millennials vs. Gen X, Survivor 43, Survivor 45, Survivor 46, Survivor 47, Survivor 48, & Survivor 49
    • Tiffany, Joe & Rizo have competed in this challenge twice. None of them have won.

Immunity Challenge #2 – “Simmotion”

  • Variations of this challenge have been used in Tocantins, South Pacific, Cambodia, Ghost Island, David vs. Goliath, Winners at War, Survivor 42, Survivor 44, & Survivor 48.
    • Joe & Jonathan have competed in this challenge twice.
      • Joe lost both times, Jonathan lost once and won once.
  • Everyone who won immunity prior to episode 8 did not make it to the finale, while everyone who won immunity episode 8 on was in the finale.
    • Episode 6: Stephenie, Christian & Dee won immunity
    • Episode 7: Ozzy won immunity.
    • Episode 8: Joe & Tiffany won immunity
    • Episode 9: Joe won immunity
    • Episode 10: Tiffany won immunity

Firemaking Challenge

  • Rizo lost the fire making challenge against Jonathan in the F4 fire making twist.
    • Rizo is the 19th person to be eliminated from the game (outside of a quit, removal or medevac) without a vote taking place at all.
      • Rizo, Kamilla, Teeny, Liz, Katurah, Carson, Jesse, Jonathan, Heather, Lauren, Rick, Kara, Angela, Devon and Bobby Jon were eliminated due to a fire making challenge.
  • Rizo is the 22nd player to lose a firemaking challenge at final 4.
  • Rizo is the 23rd castaway to be eliminated without being voted out, removed, quitting, or being medically evacuated. The others are as follows:
    • Paschal English in Marquesas – Rock draw.
    • Jonathan Libby & Wanda Shirk in Palau – not chosen for a tribe in episode 1.
    • Bobby Jon Drinkard in Palau – Fire making challenge with only 2 tribe members remaining.

  • Tiffany, Aubry & Jonathan are the only players whose best placements are this season.
    • Tiffany’s prior highest placement was 8th, she came in 5th this season.
    • Jonathan’s prior highest placement was 4th, he came in 2nd this season.
    • Aubry’s prior highest placement was 2nd, she came in 1st this season.
  • Tiffany has the best placement jump of any player this season, having gone from 8th place to 5th place.

Fourth Place – Rizo

  • Rizo is one of 8 players to play Survivor more than once and never be voted out. The others are as follows:
    • Jenna Morasca – Won The Amazon, quit All-Stars
    • Michael Skupin – medically evacuated from The Australian Outback and made it to final tribal council on Philippines.
    • Colton Cumbie – medically evacuated from One World & quit Blood vs. Water

    • Coincidentally, he’s a firefighter.
  • He’s the first person to finish as the second runner-up on two separate seasons.
  • Joe and Rizo both have the same placements they came in on their previous seasons.
    • Rizo placed 4th on Survivor 49 & In the Hands of the Fans
    • Joe placed 3rd on Survivor 48 & In the Hands of the Fans
  • Joe and Rizo are the 9th & 10th players to finish with the same placement on two separate US seasons. The others are as follows:
    • Sandra: Winner of Pearl Islands & Heroes vs. Villains
    • Tony: Winner of Cagayan & Winners at War
    • Erik: 5th place on Micronesia & Caramoan

  • Joe is the second player to receive jury votes in one season and receive 0 votes to win on a following season after Russell in Samoa & Heroes vs. Villains.
  • Joe is the first player to be saved from the final 4 firemaking twice.
  • Joe holds the record for most days played by a new era player with 52.

Second Place – Jonathan

  • Jonathan is the first person to lose a firemaking challenge and win on a returning season.
  • All 3 players that voted for Jonathan to win are former runners-up.
    • Stephenie was runner-up in Guatemala
    • Coach was runner-up in South Pacific
    • Chrissy was runner-up in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
      • Ozzy is the only former runner-up who didn’t vote for Jonathan to win.
  • Joe & Jonathan both have a placement average of 3.
  • Jonathan is the first person to make it to final tribal council on a returning season after being eliminated right before tribal council on a prior season.
  • Jonathan, Joe, & Rizo join Michele as the only multi-time players to never be voted out, quit, or get medically evacuated.
  • Joe is the 6th player to make it to final tribal council in his first two seasons. The others are as follows:
    • Amanda in China & Micronesia
    • Russell in Samoa & Heroes vs. Villains
    • Sandra in Pearl Islands & Heroes vs. Villains
    • Natalie in San Juan del Sur & Winners at War
    • Michele in Kaoh Rong & Winners at War.

Winner – Aubry

  • Aubry won 8-3-0.
    • She’s the first winner to win with this vote count.
  • Aubry is the second winner to win $2 million after Tony in Game Changers.
    • Coincidentally, they both started on the Mana tribe that season.
      • Mana also had Sandra who won a total of $2 million across her two winning seasons.
  • Aubry is the first player to start on a tribe with Stephenie and win.
    • Nobody from Ulong, Yaxha, or Heroes won the season that they were on a starting tribe with Stephenie.
  • Aubry is the 7th winner with a perfect voting record.
  • Aubry and Boston Rob have some similarities:
    • Both received 7 votes against them on their winning season
    • They both won with 8 votes
    • They won on their 4th time playing.
    • They were a runner-up on one season, and voted out pre-merge on at least one other season.
    • They each played in 4 total seasons within an 18-season span.
    • They’re the only players to finish as a runner-up one season and return to win another season.
  • All of the original Cila members on the jury voted for Aubry to win
  • 4 of the jury members voted for Aubry when they were voted out.
  • Pink and brown starting tribes are the only ones with 100% win rates.
    • Aubry & Jeremy started on pink tribes
    • Tom started on a brown tribe.
  • Aubry’s most recent all-returning player season, Game Changers, also had a female winner and two males at final tribal council with the runner-up receiving 3 votes to win and the second runner-up receiving 0 votes to win.
  • Aubry is the 5th winner from a “V” starting tribe and the first winner since Tommy in Island of the Idols to start on a “V” tribe.
  • To Tang is now the only tribe from Kaoh Rong to not produce a winner.
  • Both starting tribes from Edge of Extinction have produced a winner.
  • Ozzy has been on the jury 4 times, he’s voted for the winner twice (Sophie & Aubry) and the runner-up twice (Amanda & Brad)
  • A woman has won an all-returning player season 4 out of 6 times.
    • Amber won All-Stars, Sandra won Heroes vs. Villains, Sarah won Game Changers, & Aubry won In the Hands of the Fans
    • Jeremy and Tony are the only men to win an all-returning player season.
    • Amber is the only woman to win an all-returning player season but not be on Game Changers.
  • Aubry is the only 4+ time player to be on a different colored starting tribe every season she played.
    • She’s the second 3+ time player who won and was on a different colored starting tribe every season, after Sarah Lacina.
      • Coincidentally, both women played on Game Changers together, won an all-returning player season and the merged tribe was yellow on both seasons.
  • With Aubry winning this season, at least one brawn, brain, & beauty player have all won Survivor.
