Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage

• Austin is the first player this season to play an idol and negate 0 votes against himself.
  • The most recent player to do this was Heidi in Survivor 44, who also played hers at the final 6, on a 4-2 vote.

Reward Challenge: “Barreling Along”

• This is a new challenge that hasn’t been used before.
  • Both challenges in this episode were new.

Immunity Challenge: “Give Me One Step”

• There have been similar ones to this challenge before in Redemption Island, Blood vs. Water, and Kaoh Rong.
  • Every time this type of challenge was used, at least one woman won.
  • Tai is the only man to win this type of challenge.

Tribal Council

• Drew was voted out 4-2.
  • Kaleb, this season, was the most recent player voted out 4-2.
  • Both times, the two votes were for Julie.
• Jaime in Survivor 44 is the only woman in the new era to be voted out on Day 23.

  • Drew in Survivor 44
• Drew is the first Reba member to be on the jury.
• He’s the highest-ranking Drew/Andrew on Survivor.
  • Andrew Savage in Pearl Islands – 10th place
  • Drew Christy in San Juan del Sur – 15th place
  • Andrew Savage in Cambodia – 12th place
• The oldest player this season (Julie) and the youngest player this season (Drew) received votes at tribal council.
• This is the first tribal council this season where none of the votes were for a Belo or Lulu member.
• Austin and Katurah are the fourth and fifth players in the new era to make it to the finale without any votes cast against them, after Lauren in Survivor 44 and Gabler & Jesse in Survivor 43.
• The final 5 were on the same “team” during the split tribal council in episode 7.
  • Kaleb is the only one who was on this team and is not still in the game, while every member of the other team is now out of the game.
• Excluding the Kaleb vote that was nullified by the Shot in the Dark, Julie still has a perfect voting record this season.
• The final 6 was an even split between the three post-swap tribes.

Confessionals

• Dee had the most confessionals in this episode with 10.
• Katurah had the lowest number of confessionals, with 4.
• Of the remaining players, Austin has the most total confessionals with 58, and Julie has the lowest number of total confessionals with 42.
• None of the new era players that had the first confessional in a season have won.
  • Evvie in Survivor 41, Jonathan in Survivor 42, Ryan in Survivor 43, Carolyn in Survivor 44, and Drew in Survivor 45.

Ratings

• The twelfth episode received 5.334 million viewers and 0.84 in the Adults 18-49 demo.

Episode Title

• The episode title “The Ex-Girlfriend at the Wedding” was said by Drew when talking about Julie in a confessional.

Survivor Birthdays

• This week’s episode aired on Wendy DeSmidt-Kohlhoff and Jane Bright (Nicaragua) and Dana Lambert’s (Philippines) birthday.
