Next Time On Survivor – Episode 11

Welcome to Season 44’s Next Time On Survivor weekly feature on the Inside Survivor site! If you’re new around here, this is a tiny space where I give my best attempts at understanding preview trailers and make my predictions for the next episodes of the show. Let’s jump right in!

The NTOS trailer opens with the aftermath of Episode 10’s tribal council. Carolyn is furious, telling Yam Yam and Carson, “You lied to me all day!” Later in a confessional by Yam Yam, he reflects on how leaving Carolyn out of the decision to blindside Frannie may have backfired.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen differing views within this three-person Tika alliance, and I think there’ll definitely be more to come. Nonetheless, as I’ve mentioned in previous weeks, I do feel like the three players from the original Tika will continue being aligned.

In the past episode, Yam Yam made a remark suggesting that he wished to vote out Frannie to cut the connection Carolyn has with her. My guess is this really is what happens—with Frannie gone, Carolyn returns to Yam Yam and Carson, despite feeling betrayed by them. I don’t see her turning to other players on the tribe, and I think she’ll be able to put aside her grudges to work with some closer and known allies.

The next part of the trailer shows Carson saying, “I worked so hard, but it’s all crumbling down,” highlighting a sequence of fire in the reflection of his glasses. We’ve seen the same before a few weeks ago, and my prediction is that Carson is going to make fire at the final four. It’s a bit on the nose, but I wouldn’t put it past the editors for a not-so-subtle foreshadowing on the show.

Next, we have Jaime and Lauren together and the former revealing that “now Lauren and I have all the power.” Jaime hasn’t been giving us the most accurate information thus far, so I think this is an exaggerated statement rather than a true depiction of what is happening in the game.

I’m guessing that one of the plans we’ll see in the next episode has Jaime and Lauren in the swing vote position, and they’re able to choose between working with the three Tika stooges or the two players from the original Soka, Heidi and Danny. I predict that they choose Tika over Soka as they have a closer bond with Carolyn, especially after Lauren went on the challenge reward with Carolyn in the last episode.

And finally, we have a confessional from Danny saying, “I think it’s either Carson or Yam Yam,” to Heidi and Jaime. Naturally, this makes sense if he’s pitching an alliance to Ratu, as they have been letting Tika fly by without any damage since the merge, where Josh was the final Tika member voted out. I predict that Danny wants to target Carson and is trying to gather the numbers.

On the other hand, I think the three stooges will be targeting Danny. He’s someone Carolyn has been wanting out for a few episodes now, and I believe that Carson and Yam Yam will accede to Carolyn’s decision for the next vote as damage control after betraying her last week. So I predict that, ultimately, Danny gets voted out and becomes the fifth jury member.

  1. I agreed with you last week about Danny, but this week I don’t see it. I think Danny finally wins an immunity and I think Danny saying “Carson or Yam Yam” is him guessing who voted for him not realizing that it was Heidi. As for Jamie’s comment I think that one of them found something like an idol. I think they play it but misplay it and the other goes home.

  2. Does inside survivor know who going home ahead of time I said who I think is going home and it would not let me post it did that with frannie too. When I was right.
