Twist/ Advantage

• Erika found the final advantage, which was an advantage in the upcoming immunity challenge.
• Xander used his idol on himself and negated 0 votes.
  • This is the only idol that was played this season.
• This is the first season since Kaoh Rong where no votes were nullified by a hidden immunity idol.
• This is the first season since Cagayan where at least one idol was played but no votes were negated with idols.

Immunity Challenge #1 – “Born to Rung”

• This challenge was previously used in Kaoh Rong, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, and Island of the Idols.
  • The two most recent newbie female winners (Michele & Erika) won this challenge.
  • Everyone that’s won this challenge made it to Final Tribal Council.
    • Michele in Kaoh Rong.
    • Chrissy in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
    • Dean in Island of the Idols.
    • Erika in Survivor 41.

Tribal Council #1

• Ricard was voted out 4-1.
• Ricard is the 33rd player voted out on Day 24.
  • Greg Buis in Borneo was the first.
  • Jamal Shipman in Island of the Idols was the most recent.
• Ricard is the highest ranking hard of hearing player.
  • Christy Smith was 6th in The Amazon.
  • Nina Poersch was 16th in Worlds Apart.
• Cagayan is the most recent season to have 3 starting tribes where each tribe didn’t have a representative going into the finale.
  • Worlds Apart: 3 Escameca, 1 Masaya, 1 Nagarote.

Immunity Challenge #2 – “Let There Be Rock”

• This challenge was previously used in Blood vs. Water, San Juan del Sur, Kaôh Rōng, Game Changers, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, Ghost Island, David vs. Goliath, Edge of Extinction, and Winners at War
  • Cydney in Kaoh Rong is the only woman to win this as an individual immunity challenge.
• Erika, Xander, and Ricard won individual immunity multiple times this season.
  • Evvie and Danny are the only players to win individual immunity only once this season.
• Since the forced fire-making challenge began, Nick Wilson is the only player to win (and keep) final immunity and win the game.
  • Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers: Chrissy won the final challenge and came in 2nd.
  • Ghost Island: Domenick won the final challenge and came in 2nd.
  • David vs. Goliath: Nick won the final challenge and won the game.
  • Edge of Extinction: Chris won the final challenge, gave up immunity, and won the game.
  • Island of the Idols: Noura won the final challenge and came in 3rd.
  • Winners at War: Natalie won the final challenge and came in 2nd.
  • Survivor 41: Xander won the final challenge and came in 3rd.

Tribal Council #2

• Heather lost the fire-making challenge against Deshawn in the final four fire-making challenge.
  • She’s the tenth person to be eliminated from the game (outside of a quit, removal or medevac) without a vote taking place at all.
    • Wanda and Jonathan in Palau were the first and second (not chosen during the initial schoolyard pick for tribes), Bobby Jon in Palau was the third, Devon in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers was the fourth, Angela was the fifth in Ghost Island, Kara was the sixth in David vs. Goliath, Rick was seventh in Edge of Extinction, Lauren Beck was the eighth in Island of the Idols, and Sarah Lacina was the ninth in Winners at War
      • Sarah, Lauren, Rick, Kara, Angela, Devon, and Bobby Jon were eliminated due to a fire-making challenge.
  • Ian Rosenberger in Palau, Brandon Hantz in Caramoan, and Jeff Varner in Game Changers were eliminated without a formal vote taking place but were still voted out.
• Only men have won the forced final four fire-making challenge.
  • Ben in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
  • Wendell in Ghost Island.

Final Tribal Council – Third Place – Xander

• Xander is the youngest man to make it to FTC.
  • Natalie Tenerelli in Redemption Island is the youngest player to make it to FTC.
• The final 3 this season were the winners of the episode 12 reward challenge.
• The final 3 were also separated during the “merge” twist.
  • DeShawn was on the team that initially won.
  • Xander was on the team that initially lost.
  • Erika was forced to sit out, then was sent to Exile.
• Xander is the fourth person to win the final immunity challenge and finish in third place. The others are as follows:
  • Amanda Kimmel in China.
  • Russell Hantz in Heroes vs. Villains.

• Ever since Ghost Island, there’s been someone who received 0 votes at final tribal council.

  • Tony: won both.
• Deshawn is the first African American player since Wendell and Laurel in Ghost Island to make it to FTC.
• He’s the first runner-up since Lisa and Skupin in Philippines to not attend a pre-merge tribal council.
• Deshawn is the first African American man to make it to FTC and not win since Will Sims in Worlds Apart.
  • Jeremy Collins won Cambodia.
  • Wendell Holland won Ghost Island.

Final Tribal Council – Winner – Erika

• Erika won 7-1-0.
  • She has the highest percentage of jury votes for a woman with 7/8 (87.5%) jury votes.
    • The previous record was held by Jenna Morasca, Sandra (Pearl Islands), and Danni with 6/7 (85.7%).
  • She’s tied with most jury votes for a woman with Natalie White, Kim Spradlin, and Sarah Lacina.
  • Tyson is the only other player to win 7-1-0.
• Erika is the first woman to win since Sarah in Game Changers.
  • She’s the first newbie woman to win since Michele in Kaoh Rong.
    • Both Michele and Erika won while receiving 2 votes against them during the season.
• Erika is the first Asian player to win since Natalie in San Juan del Sur.
  
• Erika is the 9th winner to have a perfect voting record following:

• This is the third time in Survivor history where the final votes were read on the island.
  • Borneo: The final votes and winner were announced on the island.
  • Ghost Island: A tied FTC vote forced Jeff to have to read the votes on the island, with the winner being crowned at the finale by Laurel’s tiebreaker vote.
  • Survivor 41: The winner reveal was on the island due to uncertainty with the pandemic.

Confessionals

• Xander had the most confessionals this episode with 17.
• Heather had the least with 3.
• Deshawn and Xander tied for most confessionals this season with 56 each.
  • This is the first time that the highest confessional count was shared by two players.
• Erika had only 1 fewer confessionals in the final two episodes (19) than she did in the rest of the season (20)
  • Erika and Wendell both had 39 confessionals in their winning seasons.
