Survivor South Africa Season 8 Power Rankings (Round 14)

Jacques and Meryl make their Episode 15 predictions.

For the first time ever here on Inside Survivor, we will be bringing you Survivor South Africa Power Rankings. As the battle to outplay and outwit goes down on the Wild Coast of South Africa, another showdown will be taking place right here between two Survivor veterans.

Fighting it out for Power Rankings supremacy are two past Survivor SA castaways, both from Island of Secrets, Jacques Burger and Meryl Szolkeiwicz. Meryl finished in 13th place on Survivor SA, while Jacques made it to 7th place. But who will come out on top in the Power Rankings? Let battle commence!

In Round 13, Jacques and Meryl both had Kiran ranked in 6th place, earning them both 6 points. Let’s see how this week turns out!

RULES

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if the person you ranked in 1st place is eliminated in the next episode, you will recieve 1 point. If the person you ranked in 20th place is eliminated, you will receive 20 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Power Rankings Champion.

Nicole
Are we potentially looking at a finalist? Nicole has been saying that her outwit part of the game isn't all that strong. Yet she is still here. If she can hit the NOS button and take out big threats now, it will be interesting to see if the jury respects her game. Did she do enough to justify her position or was she dragged to the end?

Francois
Chappies is relentless in getting himself to the end, which is the way the game should be played. There can only be one Sole Survivor, and I like how aggressively he is playing for himself. Whether he can keep up his winning streak til the end of the game, only time will tell. He has the determination, and I think out of the last 4 standing, the one most likely to win in the end.
2
Anela
Anela is also sitting pretty. He's got a good relationship with Nicole on the one side, as well as a strong connection with Chappies. I don't think we will lose Anela at this stage with there being two clear targets left in the game. The big question will be if Anela can recover from the blunder the previous two weeks and get the respect of the jury at this stage of the game.
2
Tyson
What a beautiful scene to see how close Tyson and Kiran were. It reminded me of Dom and Wendell in Survivor: Ghost Island. Both strategic, both physical. I do think Tyson has his work cut out for him in terms of social playing (if he wants to). He has a great CV, and I hope that his leg injury doesn’t impair him too much in challenges.

Francois
After going double-or-nothing for five rounds in a row now, the question is if Chappies can keep doing it? If he loses, I think it's clear that he goes home. Whilst stealing food he has also antagonized a lot of the jury members. He might still get to the end and not win the game... let's wait and see!

Nicole
Nicole is probably the most liked person in the game. She has shown pure grit in challenges. Whether she wins or loses, she has made no enemies and she is the last woman standing. The Jury also consists of most of her alliance members. She deserves her spot at the end.
4
Tyson
If Chappies wins immunity, Tyson is the obvious choice to take out. It's unfortunate that he is harboring an injury as well. He has been extremely resilient and has an epic story if he gets to the end. A lot of the jury was also close to him, which just amplifies his threat level at this point. This week Tyson has to take destiny into his own hands if he wishes to survive another round!

Anela
Anela, although likeable, hasn’t drawn me in. His missed opportunities and unclear gameplay still leave me puzzled. I’m not sure where he sits in the tribe and how he has built up his game CV. What I do believe is that there is another big twist coming, and perhaps a final 2???
