Survivor South Africa Season 8 Power Rankings (Round 13)

Jacques and Meryl make their Episode 14 predictions.

For the first time ever here on Inside Survivor, we will be bringing you Survivor South Africa Power Rankings. As the battle to outplay and outwit goes down on the Wild Coast of South Africa, another showdown will be taking place right here between two Survivor veterans.

Fighting it out for Power Rankings supremacy are two past Survivor SA castaways, both from Island of Secrets, Jacques Burger and Meryl Szolkeiwicz. Meryl finished in 13th place on Survivor SA, while Jacques made it to 7th place. But who will come out on top in the Power Rankings? Let battle commence!

In Round 12, Jacques ranked Santoni in 4th place, earning him 4 points. Meryl had Santoni ranked in 5th place, earning her 5 points. Let’s see how this week turns out!

RULES

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the two power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the rankers will earn. For example, if the person you ranked in 1st place is eliminated in the next episode, you will recieve 1 point. If the person you ranked in 20th place is eliminated, you will receive 20 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Power Rankings Champion.

Francois
Similar to Rob Bentele, Chappies is in a position where very few individuals can compete with his physical prowess in the last stages of the game. The big test for him right now is to vote off the remaining players with grace and regain the favour of the jury. Alternatively, he has to sit next to someone whose game the jury rates extremely low.
1
Tyson
Tyson has really been coming out of his shell. He has had an edit that indicated him getting to the end, which is why I place him at number 1. He speaks his mind with little tact, which I think does not bode well with the jury members. He has built up an incredible game CV, coming in with minority numbers and flipping the game from the first merge vote. Again, he adds another notch in his belt by escaping elimination this round.
2
Anela
Anela had a rough episode last week with his share price dropping quite quickly. However, this makes him a prime candidate to take to the end. That being said, throughout this season Anela has made quite strong social connections that saved him a couple of times. If he can make one or two big moves now, he can quickly regain that favor and make a case why he should receive the title of Sole Survivor.
2
Francois
Chappies is still public enemy no.1 and he lost his closest ally. His strategy has been proven round-after-round, he is a challenge beast and he has all the credentials to take it all the way. The absolute humanity when he saw his pregnant wife was really touching.
3
Tyson
Tyson has a played an exceptional game. People have been coming after him time and time again and still, he prevailed. Last week's fire-making boosted his resume and made him a serious contender to win the game---at the expense of everybody else realising it as well. If he can pull out a big challenge win and take out Chappies, expect him to walk away R1m richer.
3
Nicole
Nicole hasn’t really made any big waves with players and she has proven herself to be loyal. She is also so strong when it comes to challenges and her (hopefully) upcoming partnership with Chappies could take her to the end.
4
Nicole
Nicole and Kiran have been the only two that have proven that they can physically compete against Chappies. Nicole also has great connections with the original Zamba tribe. This elevates her threat level substantially and makes her a logical choice to vote out if you want to secure a win.
4
Anela
I think we are all confused at Anela’s gameplay. NOTHING he did made sense. NOTHING! It was very frustrating to watch, but made for a nail-biting tribal council. I don’t think he can win this, which is why he is probably someone to take to the end.
5
Kiran
Cometh the hour, cometh the man. If ever there was a round where Kiran needs to deliver on his strategic brilliance, this is the one! He is highly regarded by his peers and an obvious winner if he gets to the end. I believe the rest of the players know this. If he can't win immunity, I feel we will be saying goodbye to a stellar strategist and one of the best cerebral players this franchise has seen in quite some time.
5
Kiran
King Kiran is so brilliant at this game. I absolutely loved how we saw some of his flavour during tribal as he has been so calculated with his word. How on earth did he stay calm when Anela revealed the flopped plan? If it wasn’t for the edit, he wins this season easily. But I have placed him at last place because the edit just doesn’t favour him and his brilliance.
