Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X

Power Rankings Round 9

Julia Sokolowski, Randy Bailey, and Martin Holmes rank the players in Round 9 of the Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X Power Rankings.

Previously on Power Rankings…

In Round 8, Julia finished in first place, receiving 10 points for ranking Michelle in 10th place. Martin came in second with 8 points and Randy finished third with just 1 point. Martin remains in the lead with 110 points overall, Randy follows in second with 90 points, and Julia is last with 83 points.

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the three power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the three rankers will earn. For example, if Adam is voted out in Episode 9, Randy will receive 12 points, Julia will receive 9 points and Martin will receive 8 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X Power Rankings Champion.

If a ranker wants to take a more strategic approach to their rankings they can play for…

Bonuses:

If the player ranked in 1st place finds an idol you gain 10 points.
If the player ranked in last place isn’t eliminated but receives a vote(s) against them you gain 5 points.
If the player ranked in 1st place wins individual immunity you gain 10 points (post-merge).

1
Ken
This is simply my roll of the dice pick to win this week’s immunity challenge. See #2 to see my real winner pick.
1
Zeke
Calm, cool and collected: the ideal mindset heading into the merge.
1
Zeke
He's got all his nerds in a row.
2
David
On the premiere of this season, I tweeted that David could possibly be the worst player in Survivor history. Man, was I ever wrong. David FTW
2
Chris
He has a plan and is ready for action.
2
Ken
Staying silent like a doll.
3
Chris
The merge only strengthened Chris’ already solid position.
3
David
David seems to be chillin’. His relationships are growing stronger and he is becoming more relaxed.
3
Sunday
No change. No danger.
4
Bret
Barney and Fred are back together and in the driver's seat again.
4
Hannah
If Hannah gets revenge, it will be like Trump winning the election- extremely unexpected.
4
David
Suddenly everyone wants to play ball with David.
5
Zeke
Second best Hawaiian shirt wearing contestant ever.
5
Ken
But actually, does Ken have a single flaw?
5
Chris
He's in a pretty decent spot right now. Former Gen X allies and new Millennial allies.
6
Sunday
Sunday is playing kind of an under the radar Joe Del Campo type game up to now. Don’t remember Joe? Exactly! Not really a strategy I respect but you can’t argue with its effectiveness. Sunday is going deeeeep! Oh, almost forgot, Sunday’s voice annoys me.
6
Sunday
I simply have no idea what Sunday’s gameplay is… I don’t know what she has done, or where she is going but I can almost guarantee Sunday has zero shot.
6
Hannah
Ready to play, ready to slay, ready to betray Jay.
7
Hannah
Does anybody even know that Hannah is still there?
7
Jessica
Ken’s Goat.
7
Jessica
Strong challenge performance last week shows her determination but it might have increased her threat level.
8
Jessica
Pretty impressive performance in last week’s immunity challenge. Jessica is the last of my elite 8. With the exception of Hannah, I believe any of these above 8 could win.
8
Bret
Chris’s Goat.
8
Adam
Sometimes less is more, Adam. When Hannah is telling you to chill, you know what's up.
9
Jay
Congratulations Jay for being at the top of my bottom 4. If Jay did not get off on the wrong foot by choosing Taylor and Figgy to align with on Day 1 I think he could have been a force.
9
Adam
Cool your jets. Don’t jump the gun. Keep your mouth shut.
9
Bret
I'm as suspicious about that bump in air-time as Hannah is about you being a cop.
10
Taylor
If CBS ever does a season of returning players called SURVIVOR: THE WORST OF THE WORST, Taylor is a lock!
10
Jay
People will start to recognize Jay as a power-player. I have a feeling that idol could come into play sooner than later.
10
Taylor
There's a thin line between kingpin and pinhead.
11
Will
Not sure why but I just have a gut feeling that it is Will’s time. FORGET YOU. GO HOME. GOODBYE.
11
Will
Will is lucky he won immunity because he isn’t the most strategic player. Overall he seems intelligent, but he is definitely a chess piece.
11
Taylor
Revenge is a dish best preserved in a mason jar.
12
Adam
Adam said that he knew everything about this game. I doubt he still feels that way. Good thing he didn’t play his idol last week because he might need it this week.
12
Taylor
Don’t steal the cookies from the cookie jar.
12
Will
School's out.
