Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X

Power Rankings Round 7

Julia Sokolowski, Randy Bailey, and Martin Holmes rank the players in Round 7 of the Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X Power Rankings.

Previously on Power Rankings…

In Round 6, Martin finished in first place, receiving 11 points for ranking Figgy in 11th place and 10 bonus points for Jay finding an idol, giving him a total of 21 points. Julia finished in second place with 13 points, and Randy came in third with 7 points. Martin remains in the lead with 99 points, Randy follows closely behind with 82 points, and Julia is last with 69 points.

The Rules

We use the Gordon Holmes format of Power Rankings. Each week the three power rankers create separate rankings based on least likely to most likely to be eliminated. The ranking of the player who is voted out of the next episode will determine the number of points the three rankers will earn. For example, if Taylor is voted out in Episode 7, Julia will receive 13 points, Randy will receive 12 points, and Martin will receive 11 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X Power Rankings Champion.

If a ranker wants to take a more strategic approach to their rankings they can play for…

Bonuses:

If the player ranked in 1st place finds an idol you gain 10 points.
If the player ranked in last place isn’t eliminated but receives a vote(s) against them you gain 5 points.
If the player ranked in 1st place wins individual immunity you gain 10 points (post-merge).

1
Jay
Jay’s edit shifted from a good edit to a winner’s edit. I hope you do buy a house for your mother.
1
Ken
Ken is killing it. He’s got Jessica under his wing, Adam on his side – I think he’s safe for a while.
1
Adam
Whoever said that romance was dead? Adam did. All couples beware.
2
Adam
Adam now needs to get rid of Taylor ASAP. Adam does not want Taylor anywhere near the jury.
2
Zeke
Power player, let’s f**king go!!!!! Based on the commercials, it seems as if Zeke is about to be the vessel of all juicy information. With knowledge of David’s idol, a solid relationship with Chris, and Michelle a co-millennial desperate to stay in the game… Zeke might have a few shining moments this episode.
2
Ken
He's now in the majority on his tribe so shouldn't be in any immediate danger.
3
Will
Another quiet episode for young Willy. Now I am starting to respect Will!
3
Adam
I think he made the right move last week by voting off Figgy. I understand how some may think he burned bridges with his other millennial counterparts by cutting one of his own. However, anyone who is somewhat intelligent will be pleased the power-couple is broken up.
3
Michaela
The Eskimo Hunter.
4
Jessica
I might have ranked her higher if she did not unfollow me on Twitter.
4
Michaela
I love Michaela; she’s a beast. But, I’m starting to get nervous for her. Her abruptness and nosiness could start to scream “red-flag.”
4
Zeke
Being an afterthought in this game isn't always a bad thing, it means they're less likely to see you coming when you strike.
5
Zeke
Looks like Zeke will be in a good spot with both Chris and David trusting him implicitly.
5
Jay
Jay has a lot of power, I simply just hope he can properly execute it.
5
David
It didn't seem to hurt him last time he told someone about his idol, so I don't think it will this week either.
6
Ken
The Jessica, Adam, Ken threesome is looking strong at this point.
6
Chris
Chris is just plowing his way through this game, using players as pieces – he has his eyes on the prize.
6
Jessica
Having been physically blind and blindsided, why did she sit out of the blindfold challenge with all that experience?
7
Michaela
Michaela was not as likable this week as she was last week. It will be interesting to see which way her edit goes this week.
7
Jessica
Jessica is a sidekick, she’s a supporting character and an information gatherer. That is it.
7
Jay
Whatchu got there?!! Power. Use it wisely.
8
Chris
OU beat KU this week 56-3. This could be an omen for the weeks to come for Chris. As soon as David’s idol is gone, then Chris will be ranked much higher.
8
Sunday
I forget you are on the show until I hear your voice.
8
Will
Can the Stranger Things kids help us find this Will too?
9
Sunday
Kind of a quiet week for Sunday (the way I like it).
9
Will
Please just do something.
9
Chris
"Nerdy comedy writers" might be a stronger connection than "from Oklahoma."
10
Bret
Thank God Hannah is on your tribe.
10
Bret
Not really sure what’s going on with you, but you melted my heart helping Hannah last week, and I’m hoping that’s a good sign?
10
Sunday
Patiently waiting for Sunday to come around.
11
Hannah
If you do not vote Hannah out the first chance you get it will come back to haunt every one of you. She will go to the end. Trust me.
11
Michelle
I’m “trusting” Michelle will make her way to the merge… it might just be a rocky few more days.
11
Taylor
With Figgy leaving, Taylor has lost part of his heart, and his brain.
12
Taylor
Listening to Figgy throw you under the bus all week in her exit interviews was glorious. You are a disgrace to real Survivor applicants.
12
David
Not only is he the weakest challenge performer, but based on the preview, it seems he’s running around left and right announcing his idol. Stay calm and quiet, buddy.
12
Hannah
First Zeke told her to shut up, then Michaela told her to shut up, no wonder she's in a constant state of panic!
13
Michelle
Michelle’s screaming during the reward challenge almost made me forget about Sunday’s voice. I am still blaming the unfair random tribe swap for Michelle’s demise.
13
Taylor
He doesn’t have an alliance, an idol, or any brain cells… I think his chances at this point are slim to none.
13
Bret
He told Michaela "there's nothing you can't do" and I'm sure that also includes writing his name down at tribal council.
14
David
It appears David will not have to use his idol this week. He should get Michelle’s vote at tribal and me 5 bonus points.
14
Hannah
Panicking will send you packing, my friend.
14
Michelle
You can tell Figgy how much you love her too at Ponderosa.

One response to “Power Rankings Round 7”

  1. I’m not a fan of these bonus point thingies. Keep it pure.

Also Martin’s comment on Jessica was brilliant!
