When Does Survivor UK Air?

The series kicks off on BBC One on Saturday, October 28, at 8:25 pm, immediately following Strictly Come Dancing. The episode will also be available on the BBC iPlayer.

Episode 2 airs the following night, Sunday, October 29, at 8 pm, on BBC One. This episode will be immediately available on BBC iPlayer following the conclusion of Saturday’s episode.

The 16-episode series will continue to air over the next eight weeks on Saturdays and Sundays.

How Can You Watch Internationally?

So far, only Australia has confirmed how viewers from outside the UK can watch Survivor UK. New episodes will be available on Sundays and Mondays at 8:30AM AEDT, exclusively on 10 Play in Australia.

Who is the Survivor UK Host?

British comedian Joel Dommett will be presiding over the action for this series revival. Dommett is best known in the UK for hosting The Masked Singer and its spinoff The Masked Dancer. He also finished runner-up on Series 16 of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and went on to present the spin-off show I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp from 2017 to 2019.

What is the Survivor UK format?

The show will see 18 castaways divided into two tribes, competing in challenges for immunity and reward. It is set to follow the show’s original format, with the losing tribe having to vote someone out at Tribal Council.

Once 10 players remain, the tribes will merge, and the game will become individual, with a jury of eliminated castaways deciding the Sole Survivor.

The competition lasted 34 days, five days fewer than the original 39-day format but eight days longer than the current 26-day format in US Survivor.

Is There a Prize Fund?

Yes, the winner of the show will receive £100,000. This is significantly less than its US counterpart and many other international versions of the show. However, it should be noted that the BBC is a publicly funded channel and must abide by strict rules regarding prize money.

Where Did Survivor UK Film?

The series was filmed in the Dominican Republic earlier this year. This is a location that has been used for several international versions of the show, including in Israel, Serbia, and Croatia.

Who Are the Survivor UK Castaways?

The 18 players represent people from across the UK, including contestants from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. You can read more about the 18 castaways here.

Will There Be Hidden Immunity Idols?

In an interview with ICYMI.co.uk, Dommett confirmed that hidden immunity idols will be part of the game for this season.

  1. When is the casting for season 2? Will BBC accept contestants that were not born in the UK, but currently live there?
