To anyone wondering how Survivor legend Cirie Fields is doing on Big Brother season 25, as well as her son Jared Fields and Cory Wurtenberger (Survivor 42 Zach Wurtenberger’s brother), this is the place for you!

This will be a time-pending cover of how Cirie, Jared, and Cory are doing in the show as long as they remain in it. These articles will also be significantly helped by Taran Armstrong’s entire season’s coverings which can be viewed or listened to on the Rob Has a Podcast website and YouTube channel.

COVERING DATES: Late August 29th – Early September 5th, 2023

CIRIE FIELDS

  • Cirie, Matt, Cory, and Jag get the fan votes to compete for a new power called the Power of Invincibility. The winner must choose to save one of the nominees before the live eviction. If said person is voted out of the house, they are protected from elimination, the house resets, and all the houseguests can compete again for the HOH. However, if the person whom the winner chose isn’t voted out, this power can be saved for next week, as it can ultimately be used for two eviction rounds.
  • Matt reveals to Cirie he won the Power of Invincibility.
  • Though there is a plan to keep Jag over Blue, Cirie and her allies get worried the new power will ruin their plans to target Cameron and Red. Matt (aka Cirie) uses the Power of Invincibility to save Jag. Cirie’s plan ends up placing all the votes to evict Jag, saving him and throwing the blame initially on Cory and America. Jag is surprised to hear this info later as he and America are friends.
  • Jag and Blue clock Cirie’s game and know she’s in the middle of every alliance. They want to pull in America, Jared, Cory, and Matt as numbers against Cirie but decide not to tell all their plans to anyone besides America, as she’s said she would put Cirie on the block if she ever wins HOH.
  • After Cameron wins the veto, Cirie starts hatching a plan for Cameron to use the veto on Red instead of himself by mentioning Red’s birthday, and Cameron will be safe either way. (Basically, an Erik Reichenbach 2.0 situation). If Cameron disagrees, Cirie wants to target Jag once again.
  • Izzy tells Cirie that Cory’s brother, Zach Wurtenberger, was in Survivor 42. Cirie recalls Maryanne Oketch having a crush on Zach but doesn’t remember him exactly. Cirie wonders if everyone in the house is related to someone on Survivor, and Izzy exclaims that she isn’t. Cirie then officially adopts Izzy as she’s a Fields. (Fans had previously monikered Izzy as Izzy Fields, so now it’s canon.)
  • Cirie starts catching up on Jag’s multiple deals with people as everyone keeps pushing for America to be the replacement nominee instead of Jag. Even when Blue volunteers Jag as a pawn, and he ultimately agrees, Cirie wants Jag gone as multiple people are willing to protect him over Red.
  • As Jag is chosen as the replacement nominee, Cirie and her allies want to get rid of Jag as he has more people fighting for him as opposed to Red. Cirie wants a 6-4 vote to leave Cameron, Bowie Jane, Cory, and America as targets for “voting out” Red.
  • Cirie has been wary of Felicia with each passing day, ever since Felicia talked with Jared about a final two between them. Felicia has also been making her allies worried as she keeps spilling info everywhere, to the point that Cirie and Izzy have considered targeting her sooner rather than later.
  •  Cirie’s alliances so far:
  1. The Fields trio: Cirie, Jared, Izzy (named by the fans)
  2. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  3. Bye-Bye Bitches: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Izzy, Bowie.
  4. Felirie/The Bookends: Cirie and Felicia
  5. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red. (extinct alliance)
  6. The Crossroads: final four with Jared, Cory, and Izzie.
  7. The Seven Deadly Sins (formerly the Savage Seven): (fake alliance) Cirie, Jag, Blue, Matt, Izzy, Felicia, and Jared.
  8. Legend 25: (fake alliance) Cirie, Izzy, Felicia, Red, Cameron, Mecole, Matt, and Bowie.
  9. For Real For Real alliance: Cirie, Jared, Cory, Mecole, America, Felicia, and Izzy.

JARED FIELDS

  • Jared keeps pushing to save Blue over Jag, going over the same arguments with everyone willing to listen. Meanwhile, Blue is bonding with her “mother-in-law,” Felicia Washington. (Blue thinks she’s Jared’s mom, and Cameron thinks she’s Denzel Washington’s sister.)
  • Jared and Cory get into a discussion regarding whether or not they would get the fan votes to compete for the new power. Jared said Cory wouldn’t get chosen due to his personality, and Cory retorted Jared’s isn’t much better. (Cory did compete, unlike Jared)
  • Jared’s misogyny is rampant, as he continuously makes unwarranted comments about and towards Blue and other women in the house.
  • On day 30, after no one was evicted from the house, Jared wins the HOH competition. Jared nominates Cameron and Red for eviction, with Cameron as his primary target.
  • Jared, Red, Cameron, America, Matt, and Felicia are chosen to play for the veto power. The winner is later revealed to be Cameron.
  • Jared and Cory’s relationship has been deteriorating over the last few days, as both have spent most of their time with their respective showmances. Jared has also made derogatory comments about America, which have angered Cory.
  • Before the veto competition, Jared tells Cory that if Cameron or Red win, he is considering America as a replacement nominee, as he thinks America has been throwing comps. Cory refutes this, and they go back and forth for a while. Feeds cut, and when they return, Jared apologises to Cory about calling America the “r” word. Cory calls him a moron as he leaves the room.
  • As Cameron wins the veto, the target roulette lands on America. Another reason Jared wants to target America is what happened when Jared went to the “doctor’s office” (aka the Diary Room, where the houseguests talk with producers to vent and have their confessionals.) Jared says the questions he got asked pointed him towards America as she’s likely to come after him. It’s safe to point out that the DR is prohibited from informing houseguests of this info as it would be cheating, and houseguests aren’t allowed to target each other with info learned from the DR.
  • As America has a conversation with Jared, and later with Cirie, about working with them, Jared then considers other pawn options such as Matt, Jag, and Bowie Jane.
  • Jared’s target starts to lean towards Jag as Red has distanced himself from Cameron, and Jag has been making many waves by asking around about last week’s vote. Also, Jag ratted Jared out to Cirie about Jared telling him he was getting saved in the previous elimination, which didn’t help matters either.
  • After Cameron uses the veto on himself, Jared nominates Red and Jag for eviction, with Jag being his primary target. Red later starts bonding with Cameron again, so it isn’t clear who will be voted out at this point.
  • Jared’s alliances so far:
  1. The Fields trio: Cirie, Jared, Izzy. (named by the fans)
  2. Brown Sugar Babes: Jared, Cirie, Felicia, Mecole.
  3. The Professors: Cirie, Felicia, Mecole, Jared, Izzy, Bowie, Hisam, Red. (extinct alliance)
  4. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag. (extinct alliance)
  5. The Crossroads: final four with Jared, Cory, and Izzie.
  6. Final two with Cory: Cory doesn’t plan to uphold it.
  7. The Seven Deadly Sins (formerly the Savage Seven): Cirie, Jag, Blue, Matt, Izzy, Felicia, and Jared. (fake alliance)
  8. For Real for Real alliance: Cirie, Jared, Cory, Mecole, America, Felicia, and Izzy.
  9. Showmance with Blue

CORY WURTENBERGER

  • Cirie, Matt, Cory, and Jag get the fan votes to compete for a new power. This power allows its winner to save one of the following two evictees (including themselves).
  • Cory is in a precarious place as Matt has replaced him in Cirie’s group as an informant, and his showmance with America has rubbed various houseguests the wrong way. To diffuse the notion they’re close, Cory drags America’s name through the mud, saying how bad of a player she is. However, this strategy later helps Jared’s delusions of thinking America is throwing competitions and America becomes an easy target.
  • America tells Cory if she wins the next HOH, she wants to target Cirie and her allies. Thinking he’s still in Cirie’s inner circle, Cory tells her this is a bad idea.
  • Cameron wants to form a new alliance, which includes Cory. Matt tells this info to Cirie, increasing Cory’s chances of getting targeted earlier than he thinks.
  • Cory is angry about Cameron’s and Red’s comments about America, especially when Cameron says “he can’t control himself” around America. America wants to confront them directly, but Cory tells her they need to find another way to do it so it doesn’t impact their game.
  • Day 32 is highly hectic for Cory and America, as Jared wants America on the block after Cameron wins the veto. Cory and America have several conversations to diffuse the target (which Cory helped to increase for the last couple of days) until, due to their combined efforts, Jared decides to nominate Jag instead.
  • Cory reveals to Izzy about his brother Zach being on Survivor. Izzy doesn’t recall Zach either until Cory mentions Maryanne.
  • Cory wants to get rid of Red as they don’t have a game relationship, though he’s aware Jag is Cirie/Jared’s target.
  • Cory’s alliances so far:
  1. Family Style: Jared, Matt, Reilly, Blue, Cameron, America, Cory, Jag. (extinct alliance) Still “working” with this side but knows he was on the outs alongside Jared.
  2. Mecory: has a deal with Mecole to look out for one another.
  3. The Crossroads: final four with Jared, Cory, and Izzie.
  4. Final two with Jared: Cory doesn’t plan to uphold it.
  5. Final two/Showmance with America: real deal for Cory
  6. For real for real alliance: Cirie, Jared, Cory, Mecole, America, Felicia, and Izzy.
  7. 3-Way/The Reliable Rats: Cory, America, and Matt.
