Tribal Council
- Morgan was voted out 4-3-1.
- She’s the first Naviti member to be voted out.
- She’s the third Morgan to play Survivor, and she’s the lowest placing Morgan to play the game, placing 18th.
- Morgan McDevitt made it to 17th place in Guatemala.
- Morgan McLeod made it to 10th place in Cagayan.
- Libby was the only former Malolo member to receive votes in this episode.
- There was another voting triangle in this episode.
- Libby voted for Morgan.
- Morgan voted for Angela.
- Angela voted for Libby.
- Laurel and James have gone to three tribal councils and have voted for the person who went home every time.
- This episode was the first time this season that a man did not get any votes at tribal council.
- Everyone that has been voted off this season has been voted off at their first tribal council they attended.
- Gonzalez voted out at the first tribal.
- Jacob was on Ghost Island for the first tribal and was voted out at the second tribal.
- Morgan was on Naviti and won the first two challenges.
- This streak could continue if Bradley, Chelsea, Chris, Desiree, Kellyn, or Sebastian are voted out in the next episode.
Ghost Island
- Chris was sent to Ghost Island, but didn’t receive a clue to an advantage.
- He’s the first Naviti tribe member to go to Ghost Island.
- He’s also the first person sent to Ghost Island by a rock draw as Malolo couldn’t come to a unanimous decision on who to send.
Tribes
- Malolo uses the same beach as Yawa from Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and Vanua from Millennials vs. Gen X.
- Naviti uses the same beach as Soko from Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, Takali from Millennials vs. Gen X, and Mana from Game Changers.
Confessionals
- Angela, Libby, and Morgan had the most confessionals this episode with 4 each.
- Domenick has the most confessionals of anyone left in the game, with 13.
- Jacob still has the most confessionals this season with 14.
- Bradley, Chelsea, Desiree and Laurel had the least amount of confessionals this episode with 0 each.
- Bradley & Chelsea have not had any confessionals so far this season.
- Laurel is the only new Naviti member to not have a confessional this episode.
- Everyone from the Malolo tribe has had at least one confessional this season.
- In both of his confessionals, Sebastian has mentioned candy.
- In his confessional in the first episode, he talked about getting gummy candies with Chris.
- In his confessional in the third episode, he compared himself to banana Laffy Taffy.
Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage
- Michael found a hidden immunity idol.
- This was one of James Clement’s two hidden immunity idols that he was voted out with in China.
- This idol was the one found at Fei Long’s camp.
- Michael is the youngest person ever to find a hidden immunity idol.
- This was one of James Clement’s two hidden immunity idols that he was voted out with in China.
- Morgan had the legacy advantage when she was voted out.
- She’s the first person to be voted out with the legacy advantage pre-merge.
- This is the first time a legacy advantage has been willed to more than two people in a season.
Swap
- This is the first two-starting tribe season since San Juan Del Sur to not have a swap from 2 to 3 at the first tribe swap.
- This is also the first season since Cook Islands to swap at 18 and have two tribes of nine after the swap.
- Both tribes ended up with a 5-4 (5 Naviti, 4 Malolo) split after the tribe swap.
- Malolo had 5 women and 4 men.
- Naviti had 5 men and 4 women.
Immunity Challenge – “All Along the Watchtower”
- This challenge name is a reference to a Bob Dylan song.
- This was the first time Malolo won an immunity challenge.
- Similar iterations of this challenge have been previously seen in Cagayan and San Juan Del Sur.
Ratings
- The third episode received 8.23 million viewers and 1.7/7 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share.
Episode Title
- The episode title “Only Time Will Tell” was said by Morgan at Tribal Council, when talking about alliances going into the upcoming vote.
