The next Survivor season is never too far around the corner, and on Wednesday, September 27 the world’s greatest reality-gameshow will return for its 35th edition. This season, titled Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, was filmed in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji earlier this year, the same location as Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X and Game Changers. The cast was initially revealed by Inside Survivor back in May 2017, but today CBS have officially confirmed the line-up.
Eighteen all new castaways will battle it out for the $1 million grand prize and the title of Sole Survivor. When it comes to the ever increasing ridiculous themes, this season will see the castaways separated into three tribes based on the positive attributes that best represent them in life – Heroes, Healers, and Hustlers. It bears somewhat of a resemblance to season 30’s Blue Collar vs. White Collar vs. No Collar theme where the cast was divided by occupation, however, this latest division makes even less sense.
The new line-up includes a former Olympic swimmer. An NFL football player. A personal assistant to a YouTube celebrity. A lifeguard captain from Florida. A Survivor superfan bellhop. And a former Miss Virginia USA.
