Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X Rumored Buffs

The thirty-third edition of Survivor will hit our screens this fall, and with it comes 20 brand new castaways who will battle it out for the chance to be crowned Sole Survivor. During the live reunion for Survivor: Kaôh Rōng this past Wednesday, host Jeff Probst revealed the title and theme of the upcoming season – Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X.

Earlier we posted the tribe names and divisions. Now, thanks to reader Andy Anders, we can reveal the rumored tribe buffs.

The Millennials tribe aka Vanua will wear a red and orange buff design. The Gen X tribe aka Takali will wear a purple buff design. The last tribe to wear red was the Totang tribe (aka Brawn) on Survivor: Kaôh Rōng. The last tribe to wear purple was the Solana tribe (aka Beauty) on Survivor: Cagayan.

  1. The buff designs look exactly like the buffs in the photograph. I’d say it looks real. How do you get these sort of things? I’m always amazed!

  2. Someone usually create the Buffs based on what they see on the season preview.They do,however,slightly differ from the original buffs

  3. Also, is that a pink buff next to the Vanua buff? Is that the merge buff or maybe a Bayon buff or what? Pink would be a disappointing merge color since they are already using red and purple.

  4. I like the fact that it’s more of a non-traditional colour mix (red and purple) just like teal and pink were in Second Chances. More of this, survivor – I’m tired of seasons where the buffs are red/yellow/blue with a Black or Green merge buff. So predictable. The early seasons used to mix up colours so much more, and I prefer it by far.

  5. So were these buffs early concept designs? I could have sworn they were real when I saw the picture of the physical buffs but the official designs prove these buffs to be inaccurate. ???
