Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Winners At War.

Season

  • This is the first season to have a double tribal council occur with three tribes in the game.
    • Game Changers and Edge of Extinction had a joint tribal council, where two tribes went to the same tribal and voted one person out.
    • If you count the Outcasts in Pearl Islands as a tribe, then this is the second time that a double tribal occurred in a three-tribe season.
  • This was the first double tribal council since episode 6 of Nicaragua.
    • Two women (Kelly B. and Yve) also went home in that episode.
  • Parvati and Sandra have attended the most double tribal councils with three each.
    • Every time Parvati attended a double tribal it was in episode 6.
  • The top four players on this season by number of days played in-game are all on the Edge of Extinction.
    • Rob – 130
    • Parvati – 131
    • Sandra – 110
    • Tyson – 92
      • Jeremy has the highest number of days played in-game for a player who is currently still in the game on Winners at War with 79 days.

Tribal Council #1 (Sele)

  • Parvati was voted out 3-2.
    • This was the first time Wendell received votes pre-merge.
  • Parvati received votes at every tribal council she attended this season except the first one.
  • This is the first time Parvati was voted out pre-merge.
  • Both Sandra in Game Changers and Parvati in Winners at War were voted out when they had reached 94 consecutive days played.
    • Sandra made it to day 39 in both Pearl Islands and Heroes vs. Villains, then was voted out on day 16 of Game Changers.
    • Parvati made it to day 39 in both Micronesia and Heroes vs. Villains, then was voted out on day 16 of Winners at War.
  • Yul voted Parvati out in this episode, he also voted her out in Cook Islands. He’s the 8th player to vote the same player out of the game twice
    • Amber voted Alicia out in both The Australian Outback and All-Stars.
    • Jerri voted Colby out in both All-Stars and Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Amanda voted James out in both China and Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Sandra voted JT out in both Heroes vs. Villains and Game Changers.
    • Phillip voted Francesca out in both Redemption Island and Caramoan.
    • Sierra voted Hali out in both Worlds Apart and Game Changers.
    • Aubry voted Debbie out in both Kaôh Rōng and Game Changers.
  • With Parvati being voted out, Amanda Kimmel is the only Survivor player to make the final tribal council twice (China and Micronesia) and never be voted out pre-merge.
    • Sandra made FTC twice (Pearl Islands & Heroes vs. Villains) and was voted out pre-merge twice (Game Changers & Winners at War).
    • Rob made FTC twice (All-Stars & Redemption Island) and was voted out pre-merge twice (Heroes vs. Villains & Winners at War).
    • Parvati made FTC twice (Micronesia & Heroes vs. Villains) and was voted out pre-merge once (Winners at War).
    • Russell made FTC twice (Samoa & Heroes vs. Villains) and was voted out pre-merge once (Redemption Island).
      • He was voted out pre-merge twice if you count his appearance on Australian Survivor 2018.
  • Parvati is the only player in Survivor to do all four of the following:
    • Be on the jury – Cook Islands.
    • Win Survivor – Micronesia.
    • Be a runner-up – Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Get voted out pre-merge – Winners at War.

Tribal Council #2 (Dakal)

  • Sandra was voted out 1-0.
    • Denise played an idol for herself, negating 4 votes against her.
    • She also played an idol for Jeremy, negating 0 votes against him.
    • This was the first time this vote has occurred in Survivor, where a 4-1 vote was made a 1-0 vote due to a hidden immunity idol being played.
  • Sandra has both played an idol during a double idol play and also been the victim of a double idol play.
  • Sandra is the second person to be eliminated by only one vote (not including the three-person votes on day 38).
    • The first was Lauren Rimmer in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
      • Ben used a hidden immunity idol negating all votes against him, leaving his vote for Lauren as the sole vote.
  • Both times Sandra was voted out, she was voted out by someone from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
    • Sarah voted her out in Game Changers.
    • Denise voted her out in Winners at War.
  • Sandra is the first player voted out so far this season who played a previous season in Fiji.
  • Denise voted for Sandra in the Dalton Ross EW first vote out and voted her out in this episode as well.
  • Sandra voted for Parvati in the Dalton Ross EW first vote out and both of them were voted out this episode.
  • Denise, who was the oldest woman on the Sele starting tribe, voted out Sandra, who was the oldest woman on the Dakal starting tribe.
  • Both players who were mentors on Island of the Idols have been voted out.
  • This episode has parallels with episode 6 of Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Both were the sixth episode of the season.
    • Parvati and Sandra were present at a tribal council.
    • There was a double tribal council in which a red tribe and blue tribe went to tribal council.
    • Two players of the same gender were voted out (Tyson & James, Parvati & Sandra).
    • A player on the red tribe was voted out due to a hidden immunity idol being played (Tyson, Sandra).
  • This episode also has parallels with episode 10 of Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Parvati and Sandra were both present during a tribal council in the episode.
    • Two idols were played by the same player (Parvati, Denise).
    • One of the idols that was played was used to vote out the player that gave away their idol.
      • Parvati used JT’s idol and he was voted out.
      • Denise used Sandra’s idol and she was voted out.
    • One player would have been voted out if the idol wasn’t used (Jerri, Denise) while the other player didn’t receive any votes (Sandra, Jeremy).
  • Rob is the only player so far who was voted out of a tribe he didn’t start the game on.
    • Parvati and Sandra were voted out post-swap, but they were voted out while on the tribe they started on.
    • Everyone voted out post-swap has played Survivor 4+ times.
  • In both episodes this season where two players were voted out, the players voted out were women.
    • Episode 1 – Natalie and Amber voted out.
    • Episode 6 – Parvati and Sandra voted out.
  • All four times Sandra has played, she’s either made it to day 39 or been voted out on day 16.
    • Pearl Islands & Heroes vs. Villains – Made it to day 39 and won.
    • Game Changers & Winners at War – Voted out on Day 16.
  • Sandra has attended either a double tribal council or joint tribal council in every season she’s played.
    • Pearl Islands – Episode 7.
    • Heroes vs. Villains – Episode 6.
    • Game Changers – Episode 3.
    • Winners at War – Episode 6.
  • Denise is the second person to play her idol for someone that also voted for her at that tribal council.
    • She played her idol for Jeremy, who voted for her in this episode.
      • Reynold in Caramoan is the first to do this, as he played an idol for Malcolm, and Malcolm voted for him in the same episode.
      • Both times this happened someone from the Matsing tribe in Philippines was involved.
  • The last four vote-outs have been all the players from Heroes vs. Villains who were on the Villains tribe together.
    • They also were voted out in the same placement order they had in Heroes vs. Villains (Tyson, Rob, Parvati, Sandra).
    • They were also voted out in the reverse order in which they’ve won Survivor.
      • Tyson won season 27.
      • Rob won season 22.
      • Parvati won season 16.
      • Sandra won season 7 (and 20).
  • All of the 4 and 5-time players have been voted out.
    • Sarah, Jeremy, and Tony are the only 3-time players left.
    • Danni and Natalie are the only 2-time players who have been voted out so far.
  • Yul is the only player left in the game that played his first season before Heroes vs. Villains.
    • Other than Yul, nobody left in the game played before season 23.
  • None of the players who won in the 30s seasons have been voted out yet.
  • All three post-expansions tribes have gone to tribal council.
    • This is the second time where all three post-expansion tribes attended tribal council during the 3-tribe period.
      • Millennials vs. Gen X was the first time.
        • Adam was in both seasons where this occurred.
    • All three tribes are going into the upcoming episode with four members each.
  • The final three of Heroes vs. Villains have all been voted out pre-merge in a subsequent season.
    • Sandra won Heroes vs. Villains and she was voted out pre-merge in Game Changers and Winners at War.
    • Parvati was the runner-up in Heroes vs. Villains and she was voted out pre-merge in Winners at War.
    • Russell was the second runner-up in Heroes vs. Villains and he was voted out pre-merge in Redemption Island.
      • All three of them also played in a season where they were voted out pre-merge but had the chance to return to the game, as Redemption Island had the Redemption Island twist, and Winners at War has the Edge of Extinction twist.

Reward/Immunity Challenge – “Rice Race”

  • Yara is the third tribe to win an immunity challenge in a 3-tribe season and be the only winner of the challenge.
    • Tavua in Game Changers.
    • Kama in Edge of Extinction.
      • This was the first time where the two losing tribes attended separate tribal councils.

Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage

  • Parvati is the first player who had an idol nullifier and was voted out before she could use it.
  • Denise is the second player to negate a unanimous vote against herself.
    • Ben was the first person to do this in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
      • Coincidentally, they both started on the Sele tribe and both have the same birthday (January 1st).
  • Last season, Kellee gave her idol to Dean (who started on the opposing tribe) and he voted her out in the next tribal council, Sandra did the same this season by giving her idol to Denise, who then voted her out.
    • Both of these idols were temporary ones that expired at the tribal council they were used.

Edge of Extinction/Fire Tokens

  • Nick is still the only player to be on a tribe other than Sele when he received fire tokens from someone who was voted out.
  • Michele has been willed the most fire tokens so far, she received 3 from Parvati.
  • Michele and Natalie have the most fire tokens with 4 each.
    • Coincidentally, both of them are from New Jersey.
  • Sarah is the only player left in the game with 0 fire tokens.
  • The players who have bought advantages from a player on the Edge of Extinction have alternated between tribes.
    • Sandra – Dakal.
    • Jeremy – Sele.
    • Sarah – Dakal.
    • Parvati – Sele.
  • Tyson is the first person to buy a reward/advantage without it being a fire token exchange with another player.
    • He bought peanut butter from the Edge of Extinction menu with his fire token.
  • Denise is the first person to use a fire token to buy an item from someone still in the game.
    • She gave Sandra one fire token for her hidden immunity idol.

Confessionals

  • Tyson had the most confessionals this episode with 5.
    • Parvati had the most in-game confessionals this episode with 4.
  • Sarah and Sophie had the least confessionals with 0.
    • Ethan, Danni, and Natalie, who are on the Edge of Extinction, also had 0 confessionals.
  • Adam has the most confessionals so far this season with 23.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • Jeremy said the episode title “Quick on the Draw” when discussing the possibility of using his safety without power advantage.

  1. Sandra so should’ve learned from Kellee getting too cute with that expiring idol. That inside knowledge from having been part of IOI was such an advantage for her, and she blew it.
