Episode 4 Stats

Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X.

    • David is the only person on Takali to vote correctly at every tribal he’s attended so far.
    • CeCe has received votes at every tribal she’s attended.
      • This is the first episode where she didn’t receive three votes against her.
  • There was a “voting triangle” in this episode.
    • CeCe voted for Lucy, Lucy voted for Jessica, and Jessica voted for CeCe.
  • The only women to be voted out this season have been Asian.

Confessionals

  • This is the first episode where Lucy Huang had confessionals.
    • Lucy is the 7th person not to get a confessional until her boot episode. The others are as follows:
      • Kel Gleason in The Australian Outback (Episode 2)
      • Liliana Gomez in Fiji (Episode 4)
      • Mary “Who?” Sartain in Micronesia (Episode 2)
      • Paloma Soto-Castillo in Gabon (Episode 3)
      • Candace Smith in Tocantins (Episode 2)
      • Hope Driskill in Caramoan (Episode 3)
  • David and Adam had the most confessionals with four each.
  • Figgy, Taylor, Sunday, Hannah, CeCe, Will, and Michelle did not receive any confessionals this episode.

Tribal Council

  • This was the earliest successful (negated the majority of votes) idol play in Survivor history.
    • Tom Westman held the previous record in Heroes vs. Villains.
      • His idol negated votes in a tied vote situation.
    • The earliest idol play (negated a minority of votes) was by Kristina Kell in Redemption Island.
  • This was only the third successful pre-merge idol play.
    • Tom Westman and Russell Hantz in Heroes vs. Villains were the other two.

Reward Challenge – “Water Slaughter”

  • This challenge has been previously seen in Palau and Caramoan. A variation on the challenge has been seen in Panama, Micronesia, and Heroes vs. Villains.
    • This challenge has only ever been won by a blue or purple tribe.

Immunity Challenge – “Angry Chair”

  • The winning pattern is still on track with Survivor: Nicaragua in that the younger tribe won the first, third, and fourth immunity challenges, where the older tribe won only the second immunity challenge.

  • The episode title “Who’s the Sucker at the Table?” was said by Chris Hammons during tribal council.

    • Nope. The earliest successful idol play to negate the majority of votes. Tom’s only negated a tie vote. 🙂

      • It’s bit confusing because you talk about it being the EARLIEST, yet the other idol plays you compare it to are based on number of votes being eliminated, not what episode they happened in.

Are there other idol plays that canceled a majority of the votes that happened in later episodes within their season?

Did the two other votes you compared this one to also happen on episode 4?

        • Tom’s also happened in episode 4 (negated a tied vote), Kristina’s happened in episode 2 (negated a minority vote)
