Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor: Island of the Idols.
Tribal Council #1 (Purple Team)
- Aaron was voted out 5-1.
- With Jamal being voted out at the previous tribal council, Dean became the highest-ranking male on the post-swap Lairo tribe. He also became the highest-ranking male on the original Lairo tribe after Aaron was eliminated this week.
- This also makes Dean the only male left in the game that was ever on the Lairo tribe, as the other remaining men (Dan & Tommy) were only on Vokai pre-merge.
- Aaron voted for every Vokai member whose name starts with J that he was on a tribe with.
- He voted for Jason in episode 6, Jamal in episode 8, and Janet in this week’s episode.
- The only one he didn’t vote out was Jack, but he was never on a tribe with him.
- He voted for Jason in episode 6, Jamal in episode 8, and Janet in this week’s episode.
- Aaron Meredith is the only Aaron to be a jury member, as Aaron Reisberger was voted out pre-merge in China.
Tribal Council #2 (Orange Team)
- Missy was voted out 3-2.
- Elizabeth and Lauren are the only players to not have votes against them yet this season.
- Every man has received at least two votes this season.
- Tommy was the last male player to receive votes this season.
- With Missy’s elimination, there are double the amount of women left in the game than men (3 men, 6 women).
- This week, two original Lairo/post-swap Vokai were voted out.
- With Missy being voted out, original Vokai now has a majority over original Lairo again.
- Both players voted out in this episode were voted out the first time they received votes.
- Everybody on the jury so far has been voted out at the first tribal council they received votes at.
- The youngest man (Jack) and the youngest woman (Missy) that played in this season are on the jury.
- Missy Byrd is the first Missy to not make it to a final tribal council, as Missy Payne was a finalist in San Juan del Sur.
Twist
- This is the third time in which a merge tribe was split into two separate “tribes”.
- The first time was in Fiji, but only one tribe went to tribal council.
- The second time was in Ghost Island.
- All three times this “merge tribe split” happened, the season was filmed in Fiji.
- This is the second time where two teams went to tribal council to vote someone out after being split, the first was Ghost Island.
- Both times this happened, a man and woman from the less dominant orange tribe were voted out.
- Ghost Island – Michael and Jenna from Malolo.
- Island of the Idols – Aaron and Missy from Lairo.
- Both times this happened, a man and woman from the less dominant orange tribe were voted out.
Confessionals
- Karishma had the most confessionals this episode with 7.
- She has the most confessionals of anyone in the game currently with 25.
- Kellee is still in the lead for the highest confessional count in the season with 34.
- Dan, Dean, Elizabeth, Lauren, and Tommy had the least amount of confessionals this episode with 1 each.
- This was the first episode this season where everyone in the game received a confessional.
- Nobody that’s left in the game has had a confessional in every episode.
- The only players that had a confessional in every episode going into this week’s episode were Aaron and Missy, who were both voted out this week.
Hidden Immunity Idols/Advantage
- Karishma found a hidden immunity idol.
- This is the 8th hidden immunity idol that has been in play this season.
- The only other season to have this many hidden immunity idols present was Edge of Extinction (eight idols) and Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (nine idols).
- This is the 8th hidden immunity idol that has been in play this season.
- As Karishma is the first Indian-American to play Survivor, she’s also the first Indian-American to find a hidden immunity idol.
Island of the Idols
- There was no Island of the Idols segment on this week’s episode.
Immunity/Reward Challenge – “We Will Go Round”
- This challenge was previously used in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
- Prior to that season, it was also used in two seasons of Australian Survivor.
- The orange team consisted of Elaine, Elizabeth, Karishma, Missy, and Tommy.
- Tommy was on a team with the four remaining original Lairo women.
- The purple team consisted of Aaron, Dan, Dean, Janet, Lauren, and Noura.
- They were sent to the old Lairo camp after the challenge.
- This was the first time Dan and Lauren were at Lairo’s camp.
- They were sent to the old Lairo camp after the challenge.
- Noura and Elaine won individual immunity.
- Noura is the first original Vokai member to win individual immunity, and the first post-swap Lairo member to win individual immunity.
- Elaine lasted the longest and won a reward for her team, which consisted of PB&J sandwiches and the privilege of having their tribal council second.
- Only women have won this challenge in US Survivor, while it’s been won by one man and one woman in Australian Survivor.
- Desi won in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
- Elaine & Noura won in Island of the Idols.
- This is only the second time two individual immunity necklaces were available post-merge without there being a guaranteed male and female winner.
- The first was during the same twist in Ghost Island.
- This is the first time two women won individual immunity during the same challenge.
- Dean was the last man standing in the immunity challenge.
- Both players who won immunity last week (Aaron & Missy) were voted out this week.
- Aaron and Missy’s individual immunity wins last week was the first time two African-American players won individual immunity during the same challenge.

- The tenth episodes received 6.63 million viewers and 1.2/6 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share.
Episode Title
- The episode title “Two for the Price of One” was said by Aaron when discussing the split tribal in which Janet and Karishma (the large alliance’s targets) could be voted out on the same night.

Noura had two confessionals this episode: one talking about Karishma and one talking about getting rid of Aaron. I believe Lauren had only one confessional, though.

The opposite happened last week when two original Vokai/post-swap Vokai were voted out.

Just thought I’d point out that it says under “Tribal Council #2” that Kellee and Jamal were post-swap Vokai. Weren’t they post-swap Lairo?
