Survivor: Ghost Island

Next Time On Survivor – Episode 14

Tillie Reilly makes her predictions for the season finale!

Hey guys, we’re back for the final “Next Time” of the season, and I have to be honest, I’m glad this season is wrapping up. Ever since Episode 1, we have had a spotlight on both Wendell and Dom, and by this point, it’s beyond obvious one of them wins, so I’m glad to finally finish up watching the same ole’ same ole’ stuff each week.

As for last week, I’m glad Donathan finally stood up and started to explode. Donathan is feeling what most viewers are feeling and that’s aggravation that nobody wants to step up to make a move, so he thinks that his only option is to blow up other people’s games. He’s backed into a corner at this point and he knows it.

Don’t even get me started on Laurel. For someone who is such a huge fan of the game, why is she playing for third? What do you get out of being third? Being the goat of the season? If she makes it to Final Three with Wendell and Dom, which will probably happen, I have no idea how she is going to argue why she has earned the title to win over them.

Before watching last week’s episode, I was dead set on thinking Wendell was going to win but when Donathan made the comment, “I’m going to vote for Dom, not you (Wendell),” it made me change my perspective that maybe Dom will pull out the victory. Dom has been the biggest threat since Episode 1, with Wendell becoming a threat closer to the merge. What if Donathan’s comment was foreshadowing that people are going to vote for Dom over Wendell? No matter who wins between the two, they both played great games against a cast of players who should’ve belonged on Redemption Island or One World.

It Is Game Time Kids

Jumping into the preview for the finale, it looks like they’ve added a new player to the game: Sebastian. He’s finally shown up and is ready to play. Last week he was picked to go to Ghost Island where he played the game of chance to win the advantage of an Extra Vote and there’s no doubt he is going to use it. We see Sebastian talking to Donathan, and Donathan seems pretty happy, so I’m going to assume that Sebastian told him about the advantage. Sorry, Sebastian, you’re like a college student who skips every class but shows up on final exam day. You’re a bit too late to join in on the game now.

At this point, I’m almost confident that Laurel will get dragged to the end. In the preview, we can see her and Dom talking, but she doesn’t look too happy. Is this when Dom talks about getting Donathan out? I don’t think Dom and Wendell would come this far with Laurel only to blindside her by voting out Donathan, so they’d definitely tell her.

This Is What It All Comes Down To

Will a big move be made? Probably not… but one can dream! I think Sebastian will play his advantage, but I don’t think it will matter because both Dom and Wendell have an idol.

Side thought: remember when Dom made a fake idol and hid it in a coconut husk for someone else to find? They aired him hiding it, but nobody ever found it. Why would they air that for nobody to find? I’m going to suspect that someone finds it, and if so, I really hope they play it just for us to get a good laugh out of it. As it stands right now, there are three idols and advantages in play not including the hidden fake idol Jay used in Season 33, and Dom’s fake-fake idol he made earlier in the season, and then whatever the final advantage is at Ghost Island. One advantage we haven’t seen that made the season preview was Lauren’s shell idol that she gave to Mike last season. I could be wrong, but my guess is that the shell could be the final idol to find.

The Final 4 fire making challenge is making a return and I’m pretty excited because I loved the twist concept. I just wish it was added back during Second Chance to benefit Kelley. I don’t think Wendell or Dom would put each other up for the challenge. It’s going to boil down to probably Laurel and Sebastian or Laurel and Angela, with my predictions being that Donathan goes out first during the finale.

I think Laurel will pull out the win in any scenario against Donathan, Sebastian, or Angela for the challenge.

Predictions

Who will win immunity?

Looking at the Final 6 challenge, it is a giant maze in the shape of a skull where players have to go through the maze to find bags containing pieces of a puzzle. Who do I think will win? I think it will be someone who is great with puzzles. You can get all of the bags first and have a head start, but if you aren’t good with puzzles, you won’t win. So with that being said, I predict Wendell or Laurel to win this first immunity challenge.

Unfortunately, CBS didn’t offer photos of the second challenge.

Who is making the final visit to Ghost Island?

At this point in the game, Dom and Wendell would probably only send someone they want in the Final 3, so if Dom, Wendell, or Laurel win, I can see them choosing each other to go to Ghost Island. Donathan definitely won’t get picked.

Will an advantage or Idol get played?

I expect Sebastian to use his advantage, but when it comes to Wendell and Dom, there won’t be enough votes to make against them at this point. Yeah, Sebastian has an Extra Vote vote, but Laurel won’t flip, and I don’t see Angela flipping either. Let’s say Sebastian votes twice for either Dom or Wendell and that Donathan votes with him. That’s still only three. Whereas Dom and Wendell will have four votes with Laurel and Angela.

Remaining boot order prediction?

My boot order prediction will be Donathan, Sebastian and then Angela with the Final 3 being Laurel, Dom, and Wendell.

Final Winner Prediction

Man, this is a rough one. Both of these guys have been at it the whole game. There is no obvious winner between those two. For a while now I’ve been saying Wendell. In fact, I think I even put Wendell down as my winner prediction on Reddit. But after Donathan’s comment last episode, I think that was foreshadowing Wendell’s downfall mistake by sticking with Dom and losing the game. So I’m going to guess Dom wins the game but not by much. It definitely won’t be a sweep.

One response to “Next Time On Survivor – Episode 14”

  1. I don’t see how Laurel, somebody who never even practiced making fire before going on the show, could beat Angela, a war veteran, in a fire-making challenge. I think if Angela makes it to final four she’s going to make it to final three. I feel Angela would try to make a big move with Sebastian and Donathan, but they’ll try to target Wendell or Domenick and one of them will play an idol. The smart move would be to go for Laurel at final 6, becuase they could get Domenick & Wendell to flush their idols, but still send one of those three home.
