Tribal Council
- Ron was voted out 3-1-0
- Rick played a hidden immunity idol on himself negating four votes against him.
- Aurora is the only original Kama member to survive being voted for so far this season.
- Every other voted out Kama member was voted out at the first tribal council where they received votes.
- Both times Rick has received votes post-merge, Aurora has voted for him.
- Also, all of his post-merge votes have come from only original Kama members.
- Rick has only successfully voted out two people post-merge (Julia and Kelley).
- Coincidentally, Julia and Kelley are the only female players voted out post-merge.
- Wardog is the only male player that Rick has voted for post-merge.
- However, it wasn’t on the episode where Wardog was voted out.
- Conversely, Aurora has only voted for male players post-merge with the exception of Kelley in the episode where Kelley was eliminated.
- Lauren has the highest successful vote count this season with nine correct votes.
- She voted out Keith, Chris, Rick, Wendy, Eric, Julia, David Wardog, & Ron.
- Lauren has only been immune for one tribal council this entire season.
- Lesu won immunity in episode 5.
- Gavin, Julie, and Victoria are still the only players not to receive votes against them so far this season.
- They are all original Kama members.
- Julie is the only post-swap Kama member to not receive any votes yet this season.
- Victoria no longer has a perfect voting record post-merge.
- She was however part of the vote-split plan, so even though she didn’t vote for Ron, she wasn’t blindsided by the vote.
- Eric is the only post-swap Manu member to be voted out post-merge so far.
- There are now two members of each post-swap tribe remaining in the game.

- Kelley voted for David in episode 10a, then she was voted out in episode 10b

- Ron voted for Wardog in episode 11, then he was voted out in episode 12.
Hidden Immunity Idol/Advantage
- Rick played a hidden immunity idol this episode negating four votes against him.
- He’s the only player to successfully play any hidden immunity idols this season.
- He played one for David negating one vote in episode 9.
- He played one for himself negating four votes in episode 12.
- He’s also the only player to save himself with an idol this season.
- He’s the only player to successfully play any hidden immunity idols this season.
- Rick is the only player this season so far to possess multiple hidden immunity idols.
- He was gifted the half-and-half idol after returning from the Edge of Extinction.
- He found one in episode 12.
- Gavin used the extra vote to cast two votes against Ron.
- He’s the first person to use someone else’s extra vote to vote a player out.
Confessionals
- Rick had the most confessionals this episode with 10.
- This is the highest single-episode confessional count this season.
- Julie had the fewest confessionals this episode with 0.
- Julie was the only player remaining in the game to not have at least one confessional this episode.
- Despite there being four women in the game during this episode, 17/21 confessionals this episode were given by the three men.
- The four women had the lowest four confessional counts this episode.
- Rick has the most confessionals so far this season with 41.
- Chris and Julia have the fewest confessionals so far this season with 9 each.
- Rick had more confessionals in this episode than Chris and Julia have had all season.
Edge of Extinction
- There was no Edge of Extinction footage shown during this episode (other than after tribal council when Ron was voted out).
- This also means that nobody on Edge of Extinction had a confessional this episode.
Reward Challenge – “Stuck in Love”
- Similar versions of this challenge have been previously seen in Vanuatu, Cook Islands, Heroes vs. Villains, and Cagayan.
- It’s been used three times as the reward challenge during the family visit episode.
- Parvati won in Cook Islands.
- Jerri won in Heroes vs. Villains.
- Ron won in Edge of Extinction.
- Ron is the first male to win this as an individual reward challenge.
- It’s been used three times as the reward challenge during the family visit episode.
- Ron won the challenge and took Julie (and her husband) and Gavin (and his wife) on the reward.
- Rick and his wife were the only married couple to not participate in the reward.
- Every post-merge episode where there’s been a reward challenge, one of the people that won it went home in the same episode.
- Eric won the reward challenge in episode 8 and was voted out.
- Wardog won the reward challenge in episode 11 and was voted out.
- Ron won the reward challenge in episode 12 and was voted out.
Immunity Challenge – “Chimney Sweeps”
- This challenge was previously seen in Fiji, Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains, and Redemption Island.
- This challenge has only been won by males when played as an individual immunity challenge.
- Both challenges in this episode were previously seen in Heroes vs. Villains.
- Jerri won both of the challenges in this episode during Heroes vs. Villains.
- Gavin is the third person (after Aurora & Rick) to win individual immunity more than once this season.
- Lauren and Victoria are the only remaining players to not win individual immunity this season.
- Nobody that’s won individual immunity has been voted out post-merge yet.

- The twelfth episode received 7.34 million viewers and 1.4/7 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share.

- The episode title “Awkward” was said by Rick after he found Aurora searching through his bag.
