Merge (Manulevu)
- Manulevu is the largest merged tribe in Survivor history with 17 members.
- Manulevu is the 28th yellow tribe on Survivor.
- Manulevu is the 4th yellow merged tribe on Survivor.
- Ozzy has been a part of 3 of them. (Te Tuna, Maku Maku, & Manulevu)
- The only yellow merged tribe he wasn’t a member of was Chuay Jai in Thailand
- Ozzy has been a part of 3 of them. (Te Tuna, Maku Maku, & Manulevu)
- Manulevu is the 17th “M” tribe name and the 5th “M” merged tribe name.
- Manu from Edge of Extinction is the most recent “M” tribe name.
- Manu is Fijian for “bird” and Levu is Fijian for “great or big” so the tribe name is “great bird” or “big bird”, which is ironic considering the tribe color is yellow, like Big Bird from Sesame Street.
- The merged tribe camp hasn’t been at this beach since Survivor 47.
- The tribe name is two former starting tribe names combined. (Manu from Edge of Extinction & Levu from Heroes vs Healers vs. Hustlers.
- Coincidentally, Rick was on Manu and Chrissy was on Levu.
- Also, both of these starting tribes were blue.
- Ozzy holds the record for being part of the most merged tribes on Survivor.
- Every season he’s competed in, he’s been on the merged tribe.
- He’s been on 5 total merged tribes.
- Including Australian Survivor vs. the World, Cirie has also been on a merged tribe 5 times.
- Unlike Ozzy, Cirie was voted out pre-merge in Heroes vs. Villains and was not on the merged tribe.
- Every season he’s competed in, he’s been on the merged tribe.
- Coach has made it to the jury portion of the game every time he’s played, never being voted out pre-jury.
- He was voted out pre-merge in Heroes vs. Villains, but was a member of the jury.
- 48 players have made it to the merge/mergatory without attending a pre-merge tribal council, including Aubry, Chrissy, Coach, Colby, Genevieve, & Tiffany from this season. The others are as follows:

- Stephenie is the only remaining player this season to never be on Kalo or Cila.
- She started on Vatu and remained on Vatu after the swap.
- This is Ozzy & Cirie’s third time being on a merged tribe together.
- Stephenie has stayed on Vatu beach since the beginning of the game.
- She started on Vatu, was swapped to Vatu, and the merged tribe is at the old Vatu beach.
- She even won the reward portion of the challenge for her team, meaning her team is the only one that went back to the merged beach for their pre-tribal council time.

- Dee and Joe are the first new era players to reach 39 days of Survivor, making it to day 13 this season after lasting 26 days in their first seasons.

- Of the remaining players, 7 have made it to final tribal council and 7 have not.

Exile Island
- Both times Exile Island has been in play this season, Ozzy has been sent there.
- Ozzy has missed competing in a challenge twice by being sent to Exile Island.
- In episode 8 of Micronesia he was sent to exile by the Arai tribe before the immunity challenge.
- This episode he was sent to exile by finding an advantage, thus making him ineligible to compete in the immunity challenge and be voted out.
- Ozzy & Rizo, who were sent to exile, are the two recipients of Genveieve’s Boomerang Idols.
Immunity Challenge – “Chimney Sweeps”
- Variations of this challenge were previously used in Fiji, Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains, Redemption Island, Edge of Extinction, Survivor 44, Survivor 47, & Survivor 49.
- Coach, Colby, Rick, Genevieve, & Rizo have all competed in this challenge twice.
- None of them have ever won this challenge.
- Coach, Colby, Rick, Genevieve, & Rizo have all competed in this challenge twice.
- Stephenie set a record by winning this challenge for the longest time between winning individual immunity challenges.
- She last won an individual immunity challenge in Guatemala in 2005, which was 21 years ago.
- The 3 players voted out in this episode were on team colors that matched either their starting tribe or swap tribe color.
- Kamilla was on the orange team and was on post-swap Cila
- Genevieve was on the pink team and was on original Vatu
- Colby was on the blue team and was on post-swap Kalo
- Dee is the 5th player to win the first individual immunity challenge in two separate seasons. The others are as follows:
- Kathy Vavrick O’Brien in Marquesas & All-Stars
- Joe Anglim in Worlds Apart & Cambodia
- Ozzy Lusth in Cook Islands & South Pacific

- Both times Dee won, there was a team reward aspect involved.
Confessionals
- Jonathan & Ozzy the most confessionals this episode with 8.
- Coach had 1 confessional this episode.
- Ozzy has the highest confessional count with 42.
- Chrissy currently has the lowest confessional count with 7.
- Tiffany quadrupled her confessional count this episode, she went from 2 confessionals to 8.
- Jonathan and Ozzy had the same number of confessionals in this episode that Tiffany has had all season.
Tribal Council #1
- Kamilla was voted out 3-2.
- The most recent player to be voted out 3-2 was Genevieve in Survivor 47, who was also voted out in this episode.
- This is Kamilla’s first time being voted out of Survivor, as she was eliminated at the F4 firemaking challenge in Survivor 48.
- It’s also the first time that Kamilla received any votes against her.
- Joe is the only player left from Survivor 48.
- Each newbie season that had 3 players on this season only has one player left.
- David vs. Goliath – Christian is the only one left
- Survivor 46 – Tiffany is the only one left
- Survivor 48 – Joe is the only one left.
- Tiffany is the only player to vote incorrectly this episode and not go home.
- Kamilla is the first player voted out this season who has previously lost a firemaking challenge.
- Kamilla is the only player voted out this episode that previously attended tribal council.
- Stephenie was the only player at this tribal council who didn’t start on the Kalo tribe.

Tribal Council #2
- Gevevieve was voted out 4-0.
- Both Canadian players were voted out this episode.
- The 16th place player in Survivor 47 (Aysha) and In the Hands of the Fans (Geneveieve) started Survivor 47 on the Lavo tribe.
- Genevieve is the first player to use her shot in the dark since Mary in episode 3 of Survivor 48.
- Genevieve is the 14th player to attend tribal council in a season but not cast an elimination vote. The others are as follows:

- All 3 players who were eliminated without casting a vote this season started on the Vatu tribe.
- Of all the times he’s played, Colby lasted the least amount of days (13) and placed lowest (15th) this season.
- This season is Colby’s first time being on a yellow tribe.
- Colby was the only original Vatu member at this tribal council.
- In Heroes vs. Villains, Colby was one of the votes for Cirie when she was voted out, and this season, Cirie was one of the votes for Colby when he was voted out.
- This is the second time multiple players have gone home on day 13 on a returnee season.
- In Cambodia, Monica was voted out and Terry was pulled from the game on day 13.
- Heroes vs. Villains players have been eliminated in 15th place in the 3 all-returnee seasons since then (with the exception of Cambodia which was only first-time returnees)
- Sandra was voted out in 15th place on Game Changers
- Parvati was voted out in 15th place on Winners at War
- Colby was voted out in 15th place on In the Hands of the Fans
- This tribal council had players from either Heroes vs. Villains or Survivor 45.
- Stephenie is the only Heroes vs. Villains player who wasn’t at this tribal council.
- No original Cila members have been eliminated since Savannah was voted out in episode 2.
- Everyone at this tribal council has first names that are alphabetically in a row, with no other player’s first names coming between them.

Episode Title
- The episode title “The Blood Moon” was said by Jeff Probst describing the triple tribal council twist.
- This is the first time someone other than Christian had an episode title since the premiere.
