Welcome to Season 47’s Next Time On Survivor weekly feature on the Inside Survivor site! If you’re new around here, I’m Steph from sunny, tropical, humid Singapore. This is a tiny space where I give my best attempts at understanding preview trailers and make my predictions for the show’s next episodes.
Jumping right in, the NTOS trailer teases a women’s alliance again—something that happens every other season (and once already this season!). This time, the hinted alliance consists of Caroline, Sue, Rachel, and Teeny. The four players have plotted and worked together in the last two episodes, at least as a part of the “underdogs” alliance of five, which included Andy.
It does seem like they’re going to continue voting together and trim off Andy sooner or later. He’s been talking a big game, especially in confessionals, trying to position himself with multiple options with different players. I believe these four women have their reservations about him and it’s a matter of time before they exclude him from their plans. With Andy removed, I think they’re better aligned with each other, and I predict they’ll play together as far as they possibly can.
Next, the trailer flashes a shot of Genevieve tying beads to make a fake immunity idol. She’s been at the bottom of the tribe, narrowly escaping the last two tribal councils where she was targeted. As the players have called, Genevieve peaked and made herself a big strategic threat too early in the game. I’m sure she’s going to continue struggling to make it through the next votes.
This fake idol shows that she’s attempting all sorts of wild moves to help her stay in the game. It’s not the most cool and calculated move as I imagine she’d like but one she’s forced to play because of her unfortunate position. This is probably a last-ditch effort to cause some chaos as she’s unable to sway the numbers to her side.
However, I predict Genevieve will make it through this episode. I think the tribe understands that she can’t be allowed to slip to the end, but there’s no urgency to vote her out immediately.
Instead, I think that Andy’s next to go. In the NTOS trailer, Sam describes him as “the straw that stirs the drink,” identifying Andy as the player in the power position able to influence others. We then see Sam, Genevieve, and Andy planning something together, likely involving the fake idol Genevieve crafted.
I wonder if Genevieve will use the fake idol to trick Andy into turning on the “underdogs.” Sam’s description of Andy as the player in control seems a little misguided to me—we’ve been fed boastful confessionals by Andy in the past few episodes about him coming out of his shell, blossoming into a strategic prowess in control of how the game’s going to develop.
Yet, the concrete happenings don’t match the big game he’s been talking. He’s failed to convince his allies to target Genevieve instead of Kyle, resulting in him getting left out of the vote last episode. He talks about the relationships he has cultivated in a tone that suggests he has cleverly massaged them into the exact positions he wants, but other players prove to have more power to reason and get support for their plans. I predict it’s Andy’s time to go, which may be at the hands of Genevieve and her fake idol.

Is that what Sam meant with the straw comment? I thought he meant Andy is the one stirring things up not that it is a power position. All last episode I felt like the edit was telling us Andy was going to be in for a rude awakening/downfall. I thought it would be last week so I totally agree that Andy could go here. I hope he does also
Andy isn’t going anywhere. He’s making the end 100%. I really don’t get what you’re seeing at all. Sam is the next to go, followed by Genevieve. Also, stop removing my comments, please.
Again, nobody is removing your comments. They stay unposted until I manually approve them.
