Tribes

• Yanu broke the new era record for most days without having their flint with 11 days
• Nami is the first starting tribe in Survivor history to compete in every tribal challenge and never lose.

Immunity Challenge – “Knock One Back”

• Variations of this challenge were used in South Pacific, Millennials vs. Gen X, Game Changers, David vs. Goliath, Edge of Extinction, Island of the Idols, Winners at War, Survivor 41, Survivor 42, and Survivor 45.
  • South Pacific is the only season where this challenge was used in a location other than Fiji.
• This is the first time this season that Charlie sat out of a challenge.
• Nami has come in first in every immunity challenge this season.
• This was the first immunity challenge that Yanu won this season.
• This was the first immunity challenge that Siga lost this season.
• Every time this challenge has been used in the new era, the green tribe lost.
  • Ua lost in Survivor 41
  • Vati lost in Survivor 42
  • Siga lost in Survivor 46
• Yanu is the third tribe in Survivor history to lose the first four immunity challenges but win the fifth immunity challenge after Maraamu in Marquesas and Tadhana in Blood vs. Water.

Confessionals

• Hunter had the most confessionals this episode with 10.
  • He went from the fewest number of confessionals for a Nami tribe member to highest number of confessionals for a Nami tribe member.
• Everyone else on Nami had the least amount of confessionals with 1 each.
• This was the first episode where someone from a different tribe than Yanu had the highest confessional count.
  • Episode 1: Tiffany and Bhanu had 9
  • Episode 2: Kenzie and Tiffany had 10
  • Episode 3: Bhanu had 13
  • Episode 4: Bhanu had 10
• Kenzie has the highest total confessional count of the season so far with 32.
• Tim and Liz have the lowest total confessional counts with 10.

Tribal Council

• Jem was voted out 4-2.
• Maria used her extra vote for Jem.
  • She’s the sixth player to use her extra vote to successfully vote for the player who went home.
• Jem is the 12th Asian-American woman to be the first player voted out of her tribe.
  • Michelle was the first player voted out of Bula Bula (merged tribe) in Fiji.
  • Nadiya was the first player voted out of Coyopa in San Juan del Sur.
  • So was the first player voted out of Masaya in Worlds Apart.
  • Rachel was the first player voted out of Takali in Millennials vs. Gen X.
  • Mari was the first player voted out of Vanua in Millennials vs. Gen X.
  • Simone was the first player voted out of Yawa in Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
  • Kellee was the first player voted out of Lumuwaku (merged tribe) in Island of the Idols.
  • Natalie was the first player voted out of Sele in Winners at War.
  • Jenny was the first player voted out of Vati in Survivor 42.
  • Justine was the first player voted out of Vesi in Survivor 43.
  • Helen was the first player voted out of Tika in Survivor 44.
• Jem is the 23rd player voted out with a hidden immunity idol.
  • Bruce in Survivor 45 was the most recent.

Ratings

• The fifth episode received 4.721 million viewers and 0.70 in the Adults 18-49 demo.

Episode Title

• The episode title “Tiki Man” was said by Tim when talking to the tribal immunity idol, asking it to help him poop.
