Immunity Challenge – “Blue Lagoon Bustle”
- Variations of this challenge have previously been used in Blood vs. Water, Game Changers, and Winners at War.
- This is the first season where there were no red, yellow, or blue tribes competing.
- This is also the first season this challenge was used with all new players.
- Blood vs. Water had half new/half returning players, while Game Changers and Winners at War were full returning player seasons.
- Yanu has lost every challenge they’ve played in so far.
- Nami has won every challenge they’ve played in so far.
- In the first three episodes, the tribes finished in the same order for the immunity challenge.
- Nami came in first, Siga came in second, and Yanu lost.
- Yanu is the third tribe to lose the first three immunity challenges in a three-tribe season.
- The first was Matsing in Philippines, and the second was Lulu in Survivor 45.
- Yanu is the first purple tribe to lose the first three immunity challenges in a season.
The Summit
- This is the first summit since Survivor 42 where multiple players left without an advantage that was available.
Confessionals
- Bhanu had the most confessionals this episode with 13.
- He also has the highest total confessional count so far this season with 25.
- Bhanu had the most confessionals of any player in Survivor history in the third episode of a season.
- Maria, Tim, Soda, and Tevin had 0 confessionals in this episode.
- This is the first episode this season where not everyone had a confessional.
- Hunter and Jem have the lowest total confessional count with 5.
Medical Evacuation
- Randen is the 8th player to never attend tribal council. The others are as follows:
- Jonathan Libby & Wanda Shirk in Palau
- Gary Stritesky in Fiji
- Kourtney Moon in One World
- Dana Lambert in Philippines
- Pat Cusack in David vs. Goliath
- Jackson Fox in Survivor 42
- In all three even-numbered seasons of the new era, a man was medevaced from an orange tribe.
- Jackson was medevaced from Taku in Survivor 42
- Matthew was medevaced/quit from Ratu in Survivor 44
- Randen was medevaced from Nami in Survivor 46
- Randen is the 23rd person to be eliminated from the game (medevaced or quit) due to medical reasons.
- Randen is the 4th player to be eliminated from the game after winning tribal immunity.
- The first was Liliana in Fiji when Moto gave up immunity to keep their camp, the second was Bill in One World when Manono gave up immunity, and the third was Matthew in Survivor 44 when he was medevaced/quit.
- Nine of the 23 players were on orange starting tribes.
- Kaoh Rong is the most recent season with a medical evacuation, during which nobody from an orange-starting tribe was evacuated.
- Every season with a medical evacuation AND an orange starting tribe had someone from the orange tribe evacuated/quit for medical reasons except for Fiji.
- Panama: Bruce started on La Mina and was evacuated
- Micronesia: Kathy started on Airai and quit for medical reasons
- One World: Colton started on Malolo and was evacuated
- Caramoan: Shamar started on Gota and was evacuated
- David vs. Goliath: Pat started on David and was evacuated, Bi also started on David and quit for medical reasons.
- Survivor 42: Jackson started on Taku and was evacuated
- Survivor 44: Matthew started on Ratu and was evacuated/quit for medical reasons.
- Survivor 46: Randen started on Nami and was evacuated.
- Ravu from Fiji is the only orange tribe to be on a season with a medical evacuation/medical quit and not have someone from the tribe evacuated/quit.
- Both Randen and Matthew were medevaced from orange tribes, and a purple tribe’s tribal council was canceled because of this.
- Randen is the first player to be evacuated on day 7.
- Brad Reese (Survivor 41) is the only man to be voted out at a single tribal council on day 7.
- John Palyok was voted out as part of a double tribal council episode on day 7 in Vanuatu
- Colton Cumbie quit on day 7 in Blood vs. Water
- Randen was medically evacuated on day 7 in Survivor 46
- Randen is the first male since David Voce in Survivor 41 to place 16th.
- Bhanu is currently the only player in the game with any votes against him.
Ratings
- The third episode received 4.783 million viewers and 0.75 in the Adults 18-49 demo.
Episode Title
- The episode title “Wackadoodles Win” was said by Q when talking to Bhanu who referred to himself as a wackadoodle.
Survivor Birthdays
- This week’s episode aired on Kim Mullen (Palau), Mike Borassi (Samoa) and Frannie Marin’s (Survivor 44) birthday.
- Frannie is the only one of the three to make it to the jury phase of the game.
