Each week Inside Survivor contributor Rob Brodeur will be collecting various Survivor-related statistics and information based off the latest episode of Survivor 43.

Reward Challenge: ”Put a Ring on It”

  • This challenge was previously used in Island of the Idols, Survivor 41, and Survivor 42.
    • It has been used in every “new era” season.
    • This is the first time it was not used in the penultimate episode of the season.
    • Noelle is the first woman to win this challenge.
  • Every time this challenge has been used, the color of the tribe competing was different.
    • Island of the Idols: blue tribe (Lumuwaku)
    • Survivor 41: red tribe (Viakana)
    • Survivor 42: purple tribe (Kula Kula)
    • Survivor 43: green tribe (Gaia)
  • This is the first reward challenge since episode 4.
  • Noelle won the reward challenge
    • Two Baka and Two Vesi went on the reward.
    • Nobody from Coco went on the reward.

Immunity Challenge: “Teeter Tower”

  • This challenge was previously used in Gabon, Heroes vs. Villains, Redemption Island, South Pacific, Caramoan, Blood vs. Water, and Game Changers.
  • The first person to win this challenge was Susie Smith in Gabon.
  • Cassidy won the immunity challenge.
    • Both Coco women that made the merge have won individual immunity.
    • Lindsay is the only Coco woman who didn’t win individual immunity this season.
  • Every individual immunity winner so far has been a different person.
    • Jesse and Sami are the only players left who haven’t won immunity.
    • None of the players who have been voted out won individual immunity.
      • Everyone that’s won individual immunity so far this season is still in the game.

Confessionals

  • Jesse had the most confessionals this episode with 9.
    • Jesse now has the most confessionals this season with 44.
      • This is the first time since episode 1 where Cody wasn’t in the lead for confessionals.
  • Sami had 0 confessionals this episode.
  • Cassidy has the least confessionals of the remaining castaways with 24.

Tribal Council

  • Noelle was voted out 5-2-1.
    • The most recent person voted out 5-2-1 was Jacob Derwin in Ghost Island.
    • The first person voted out 5-2-1 was Peter Harkey in Marquesas.
  • Kelly Bruno is the only amputee on Survivor to not be voted out in 8th place.
    • Chad in Vanuatu and Noelle were voted out in 8th place.
    • Coincidentally both Chad and Noelle started on red starting tribes that were against a yellow tribe.
  • The first five people alphabetically voted for Noelle.
  • Jesse and Gabler are the only players left without any votes against him.
  • Karla and Sami got their first votes this episode.
  • There are no more Vesi women in the game.
    • The only women left are from Coco.
  • Elizabeth Olson in David vs Goliath is the most recent player to be the first jury member and the first player voted out during the post-merge portion of the game.
    • Reem (first jury member) & Joe (merge boot) in Edge of Extinction.
    • Jack (first jury member) & Kellee (merge boot) in Island of the Idols.
    • Amber (first jury member) & Wendell (merge boot) in Winners at War.
    • Sydney (first post-merge boot) & Tiffany (first jury member) in Survivor 41.
    • Lydia (first post-merge boot) & Chanelle (first jury member) in Survivor 42.
    • Elie (first post-merge boot) & Jeanine (first jury member) in Survivor 43.

Ratings

Episode Title

  • The episode title “Get That Money Baby” was said by Jesse; it was in his letter from his son.
