Tribal Council

  • Jenny was voted out by consensus after a 2-2 tied vote forced a revote that ended up 1-1.
    • Lydia is currently the only person in the game with votes against her.
    • This is the first tribal where the initial vote wasn’t unanimous and multiple people received votes.
      • However, since the consensus vote had to be unanimous, every person that’s been voted out so far this season has been by a unanimous decision.
  • Daniel is the only player that currently has cast a vote against another player that’s still in the game.
  • This episode had the first 1-1 tied revote since the finale episode of Palau after which Jenn and Ian did a fire-making tiebreaker.
  • Jenny is the first person this season to cast a vote then be eliminated, as Jackson was medically evacuated and Zach and Marya lost their votes.
  • Only 4/6 players were allowed to vote during the initial vote, while only 2/6 players were allowed to vote during the revote.
    • This is the first time that two players were unable to vote at tribal due to a twist/advantage taking away their ability to vote.
  • Jenny is the second player to be voted out by consensus after a tied revote.
    • The first was Kimmi in Cambodia.
      • Both times a consensus vote happened, a woman was voted out.
  • Both players named Jenny have been voted out pre-merge.
    • Jenny Guzon-Bae in Cook Islands and Jenny Kim in Survivor 42
      • Both women are Asian-American, started on a green tribe and were the oldest women on their starting tribe.
      • They both also got eliminated in a non-traditional way.
        • Jenny in Cook Islands was voted out during a surprise double tribal council.
        • Jenny in Survivor 42 was voted out by consensus after a tie vote that was partially caused by 2 players losing their votes.
    • While not a “Jenny,” Jennifer Lanzetti in Kaoh Rong was also voted out pre-merge.
  • Kellee Kim from Island of the Idols is the only player with the last name “Kim” to not be voted out pre-merge.
    • Liz Kim in Samoa, So Kim in Worlds Apart, and Jenny Kim in Survivor 42 were all voted out pre-merge.
  • This episode had the first pre-merge deadlocked tied vote since episode 6 in Africa.
  • This episode has the earliest deadlocked tie vote, occurring on day 7.
    • The previous record was held by Africa which had a deadlock tie on day 9.
  • In both seasons 41 & 42 the person voted out on day 7 was from the green tribe.
    • Brad from Ua in 41.
    • Jenny from Vati in 42.
  • Jenny is the seventh player voted out on Day 7.
    • Brad on Survivor 41 was the most recent.
  • Everyone that’s been eliminated/voted out so far has been unable to vote or didn’t vote when they were eliminated.
    • Jackson was medically evacuated.
    • Zach and Marya lost their vote due to them playing their shot in the dark
    • Jenny was involved in a tie vote so she couldn’t vote during the revote.
  • This was the first tribal this season where the shot in the dark wasn’t used.
