Tribal Council

• Marya was voted out 4-0.
  • She’s the first woman to be eliminated from this season.
• She’s the third person to be voted out of Survivor unanimously (not counting players voted out at the final three in a season with a final two).
  • • The first was Jeff Varner in Game Changers, and the second was Zach in the previous episode.
      • Marya is the first person on an orange tribe to be voted out unanimously.
      • Marya is the first woman to be voted out unanimously.
• Both the oldest man and oldest woman have been eliminated from Taku.
• Vati is the only tribe so far to not lose a member/vote someone out.
• Marya is the third castaway in the history of Survivor to attend a Tribal Council but never cast a vote, including a jury vote.
  • The first was Sydney in Survivor 41, and the second was Zach in the previous episode.
• Marya is the fourth player to get voted out without casting a vote at Tribal Council.
  • The others are Chris Noble in Ghost Island , Sydney Segal in Survivor 41, and Zach in the previous episode.
• Marya is the seventh person to be voted out during a Tribal where she couldn’t vote. The others are as follows:

    • Jason Linden & Jamal Shipman in Island of the Idols
    • Brad Reese & Sydney Segal in Survivor 41
    • Zach Wurtenberer in Survivor 42
• Marya is the third person to use the shot in the dark, after Sydney in Survivor 41 and Zach in the previous episode.
  • She’s the first player to unsuccessfully use her shot in the dark and only get 4 votes against her, as Sydney and Zach both got 5.
  • She’s the first person to have her scroll revealed by Jeff Probst instead of opening it herself.
  • So far, all three players to use the shot in the dark were also the first players voted out from their original starting tribes.
• Marya is the sixth person voted out on day 5. The others are as follows:
  • Allie Pohevitz in Caramoan
  • Nina Acosta in One World
  • Christine Shields Markoski in South Pacific
  • Mat Elrod in Redemption Island
  • David Voce in Survivor 41
    • Mike Borassi was evacuated on day 5 in Samoa
• Both of the potential targets this episode (Marya & Maryanne) have the same first five letters in their names.
• Despite three people going home, and two tribal councils, there have only been two people that have had their names written down, and they’re the two players voted out (Zach & Marya).
  • All 15 other players currently have zero votes cast against them.
    • This is due to two unanimous votes and the shot in the dark taking away the eliminated players vote.

Immunity Challenge: “Can’t Find My Way Home”

• Vati and Ika won immunity.
  • Vati has won both immunity challenges so far this season.
• Variations of this challenge have previously been used in The Australian Outback, Marquesas, Thailand, The Amazon, All-Stars, Vanuatu (twice), Guatemala, Fiji, Micronesia, Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains, Nicaragua, Redemption Island, South Pacific, One World, Cagayan, Worlds Apart, Cambodia, Millennials vs. Gen X, Game Changers, Ghost Island, and Island of the Idols.
  • This challenge has been used the most out of any other challenge in Survivor history, being used a total of 24 times in 23 seasons.
• Every time a green tribe has participated in this challenge in a season set in Fiji, they’ve won.
  • Moto in Fiji
  • Ika Bula in Millennials vs. Gen X
  • Tavua in Game Changers
  • Yanuya in Ghost Island
  • Vati in Survivor 42
    • Ogakor in The Australian Outback and Luzon in Cagayan are the only green tribes in Survivor history to compete in this challenge and lose.

Twists/Hidden Immunity Idol

• Mike found the Vati hidden immunity idol.
  • In both seasons 41 and 42, the first player to find the beware idol was a man.
    • Coincidentally, in season 41, the youngest man on his tribe found it (Xander), and in season 42, the oldest man on his tribe found it (Mike).

Confessionals

• Mike had the most confessionals this episode with 6.
  • Mike has the most confessionals so far this season with 10.
• Lydia & Rocksroy had 0 confessionals this episode.
  • Everyone on Taku had at least 2 confessionals this episode.

Ratings

• The second episode received 4.84 million viewers and 0.8 in the Adults 18-49 demo.

Episode Title

• The episode title “Good and Guilty” was said by Hai when talking about struggling with being vegan.
